Sam Smith seems likely to retain his position at #1 with comeback single 'Too Good at Goodbyes', ahead of new entries in the shape of 'Too Much to Ask' by Niall Horan, 'Heartline' by Craig David and Post Malone's 'rockstar' (featuring 21 Savage). Avicii also looks likely to take another stride up the chart with Rita Ora-featuring 'Lonely Together'. In the albums, Foo Fighters seem to have #1 on lock with Concrete & Gold, after missing out in 2014 to Pink Floyd. Joining them in the Top 10 could be new albums such as Savage: Songs From A Broken World by Gary Numan, The Laughing Apple by Yusuf / Cat Stevens and Prophets of Rage's self-titled album. Madonna should also make an appearance in the Top 40 with her latest live collection Rebel Heart Tour Live and 2017's Mercury Prize winner Sampha should also return with Process. Breakdown of the week - Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted. - Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm. - Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one. - Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed. - Thursday: See Tuesday. Other notes (please read) - You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod). - Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue. - Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. - To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads. |

Hmm couldn't it be close between Sam and Dua? He is selling more but New Rules is #1 on Spotify and 15% ahead. I mean he's above Dua now but he also must stay at #1 on iTunes for the rest of the week.

What a shame Anastacia probably won't chart anywhere with her album.

Fab to see Avicii finally climb into the top 10 - expect it'll hold there or even climb!
Niall ahead of Post Malone Looks like both are good for top 20 though, and the latter could even be top 10. Also good that Craig David is on for a top 40 debut. I expect there's missing streaming judging by XXXTENTACION's slightly low position, in that case Post Malone is probably actually at around #13. |

Ed Sheeran's album sales have dropped dramatically obviously weekend data from Spotify is missing. Good sales for the Foo Fighters, should crack 75k I should imagine.
As for the singles, the top 2 is looking close, but I think Sam will keep the lead, once all the missing data is added. |

This time last week Ed had sold 4,533. This week he is on 4,404 - Martin I don't see how a 3% fall is a 'dramatic drop'. As long as Gary Numan stays at #2 I'd be quite happy, actually Gary Numan's album is not that bad the album has been getting great reviews, downloaded it over the weekend. Can't even remember the last time Gary Numan had a top 3 album, must have been quite awhile. I can see it dropping fast next week like O.M.D did... sadly. |

"Swish swish" going top20 on its 18th weeks on the charts? That'd be an achievement indeed!
