I've had 8/10 qualifiers in each of the last 2 years and will match that again this year if I can manage to sneak through this time ~ (on the other hand if I DNQ it'll be my first year with 3+ DNQs since 2013 so let's not let that happen).

Oops haha. I was so pleased with this entry too, was not expecting to be a no hoper at all. I’ve been hammering it so much though so probably lost all sense of objectivity by the 10th listen but to me the whole album is so beautiful and mesmerising, one of my finds of the year by a long way.

things that work in beaver’s favor: it’s in a meh semi, only 8 DNQ slots (most of which are predicted to be locked in already) UPDATE: i think wholune can be borderline too things that work against it: deduction, which could send it into DNQ status if points are low enough (so early Rejects contender?) things that work in its favor: it’s in a poppy semi so it probably got enough points to qualify anyway |

I think Scherzland should be right up with Fljotavik and UVland, they seem more likely to me than Aeroche/NewLexico
Those are pleasing odds for me too, hopefully after our 11th last time we can get on the right side of the top 10. |

I am just going to bask in the rare great FLJ odds while they last!
 I really wasn't expecting it to be so well received (by the couple of people who do odds!) and it wouldn't surprise me if it underperforms, I'm expecting a fair amount of low to middle points scores as I can't imagine many people hating it but I also can't see it being many people's favourite song in the final either. I think it's a pretty strong field this time. |
