It was even higher the other day, it seems to get a big boost every time it's played on Radio 1 so that's probably why

It's not a flop single at all. It's her debut major label single and she is not known to anyone. The fact that a little young scandi girl is top 40 is incredible.

My point is it's obvious the close connection with Apple is the reason why she's constantly featured in key advertising spots.

Honestly, who cares?? In fact, I applaud her label for doing this. Especially when places to promote your songs are so scarce/seem only available to established artists nowadays. It's SO HARD for a new artist nowadays.

Ofc they want to do anything they can to secure a hit. It really winds me up when artists are constantly blamed for promoting on more than a couple of tv shows. Olly was getting shit for it, Robbie was too.

A promotional opportunity arises and ofc the artists are going to do whatever they can!

I think the fact it's decreasing is probably the main reason some are doubting it... but when you see that it's STILL doing 15k pure sales today it'll almost certainly manage top 10 which is incred!

Not convinced really, I think it's one of her better singles but never sounded like it was destined to be a hit (makes it all the weirder they shoved the album back 4 months to push this as the lead single!)

(still reckon the album will do well, contending for the Top 5 at least considering the push she's got)

Unfortunately its not going to do a Steps but more late 90s/early 00s acts making a comeback please!

This maybe would have stood a chance of becoming a hit in the 2014 big room house era especially after a track like Booyah became a hit as their sound is quite similar to some of the big room tracks back then.

Speaking of big room house, I do really wish its popularity in the charts had lasted longer.

It was selling about 4/5 times more than number 3 yesterday and is still selling 3 times it today.

Where is the Spice Girls 4th album? Where are their 14 certified hit singles? Spice Girls were a phenomenon to begin with (like, I doubt well ever see anything like them ever again) But their 3rd album tanked. Spice Girls were far bigger in the first two eras granted (but they are bigger than 90% of pop acts ever), but Little Mix are more consistent (and have longevity) with their success.

Spice Girls are incomparable. Their music, image and branding was so one-of-a-kind... Little Mix are definitely up there with GA and Sugababes as one of the best British girl groups of the 21st Century (I'd even remove the "British").

Well you could equally argue that GA were driven by Xenomania. I think LM have done well to evolve with each era. DNA put them on the map, Salute gave them some credibility, GW made them properly break out and GD made them massive in the UK. I can't think of another XF act whose 4th album is their biggest.

There is no 'combined' for "Liar Liar". The two versions have different titles and thus are treated as separate chart entries, I believe?

Amazing to see it as high as #3 though, I think Capital and Heart refusing to play the song in the Big Top 40 (it was at #10) has really outraged the campaigners so they're pushing even harder now! I'll be giving it a purchase to help it get to #1 on iTunes.

Really hoped it was a dance song with that title, but its just a trop-pop song sadly. It does have a good chorus though. That hi-ooh hi-ooh-hi bit reminds me a bit of the oh-oh-oh-oh-oh bit in Christina Aguilera's Genie In A Bottle.

Captain Ska not really getting much of a lead then, only barely making it to the top (unless it has another big push on the way) - still not bad at all when 'Despacito' is shifting pretty massive numbers by 2017 standards.

Camila's song sounded pretty good to me on BGT, and I noticed the 'Genie In A Bottle' similarity as well (is that actually a proper sample?)

Katy will do Part of Me acoustic, I think. She's done it as a tribute to Manchester twice now and both times it went down very well.

I don't see the issue with songs like Happy, because the concert should be about not letting hate stop people from carrying on. I imagine Ariana will do Break Free. Obviously songs like Bang Bang and Dangerous Woman will not be appropriate.

I would put money on Coldplay doing a cover of 'Don't Look Back In Anger'. It would be such a touching tribute and it's definitely the sort of song they would do.

I can also see Liam and/or Noel Gallgher joining them for it. There's been rumors of those two "rekindling" and I think this would be the perfect way for them to put old feuds behind and look into the future. However that is super unlikely so let's just hope for Coldplay
