I've decided to start a dedicated discussion for this to save starting a new one each week. I'll repost the first few charts as well and add a few lines of commentary to each.

When I started I had planned to do a Top 30 tracks chart and a Top 10 albums list but as the weeks went on I increased the size of the tracks listing to a Top 40 and from mid June this became a Top 50! As you will see my tastes are quite varied so the chart will be a mix of old and new as can be seen in this first one.

The 2 Shaky albums (his most recent at that point) were being played in preparation for the upcoming release of Re-Set which was due at the end of April. A couple of the tracks from that album had been available earlier in the year and both made the tracks chart, as did a couple from the 2016 album, Echoes of Our Times. Earlier in the week I came across full YouTube uploads of episodes from the BBC's Multi Coloured Swap Shop. The Brown Sauce track at number 1 was actually the show's presenters and was featured in the 1981 Swap Shop Awards show and released as a single. The B-side of that single was the show's theme at the time - Hello Hello.

Abba's Voyage album got a few spins this week and a couple of tracks made the Top 40 as a result. I heard the Bryan Adams track playing in a local record shop at the weekend amd decided to check out the album on spotify. Sinead Lohan is a singer / songwriter from County Cork and released 2 albums in the 1990s before leaving the music industry towards the end of the decade to get married and bring up a family. Joan Baez was a big fan and recorded the title tracks of both of Sinead's albums - Who Do You Think I Am? and No Mermaid - for her album Gone From Danger. There's a great 2CD edition of that album which contains a bonus live disc with Sinead featuring on both of those tracks along with a cover of Dylan's To Ramona which she released as a solo single in Ireland in between her 2 album releases. The Shania Twain album I hadn't really played since it was released in February, so had decided to take a listen to that as well!

This chart was compiled on the day Shaky's Re-Set album came out. I had managed to pick up a copy on vinyl the previous day so by the time it came to compiling the chart on Friday evening The new songs were becoming familiar (the album has a playing time of around 31 minutes so I got to hear it many times). The other new entries on the album chart were Record Store Day purchases = the U2 one had been reduced to £31 in one of the RSD shops so I couldn't pass up on it at that price.

on 29th April I attended two concerts - in the afternoon I saw Irish band the 4 of Us before heading to the Biggest 90s Disco arena show featuring the likes of 2 Unlimited, Gala, Peter Andre and many more. As a result some of the acts made it into this week's charts - the debut from the 4 of Us made the album chart and a couple of the singles from it also charted. THe final day of this chart week was also the day Ed Sheeram's - was released and as a reult it edged it's way into the bottom of the album chart.

Sunday 7th May saw Showaddywaddy's 50th Anniversary tour reaach Belfast and 2 of their albums made an appearance on the chart. Bright Lights was one of the first albums my brother bought and I came across the vinyl copy during the week. Another 5th May release (Now Yearbook 1978) charted this week, I had only got that one on the day after release so it was to late to make the previous chart. I had been listening a lot more to the Letter To You album and a few tracks from that also charted. As for Mark McCabe, a week after the latest Biggest 90s show in Belfast next year's event was confirmed and Mark is on the bill for that.

Another week where I've gone to a show and the following chart has been heavily influenced by it. This time it was the Good Vibrations musical (based on the 2012 film). Also this week I purcased the official mp3 release of the second of Bruce Springsteen's three shows in Dublin. That got me listening to some of his other stuff as well. The Stiff Little fingers album was a limited edition vinyl release from their official store. Lewis Capaldi made it into the bottom end of the top 10 as I had a few listens to the album on Spotify when it was released on the Friday. Bubblegun is a strange one. Pat Kenny is atually track 2 on a CD single which I picked up in a charity shop in Dublin several years ago. It appears to have done nothing chart-wise and looks like it was their only single. Pat Kenny is a well known broadcaster in Ireland and was the second regular presenter of RTE's Late Late Show, more of which in next week's chart. Opera House was a single I had on 7" back in the 80s and I dug it out after seeing it mentioned on a discussion about the 80s charts during the week.

26th May saw Ryan Tubridy's run as the presenter of the long running RTE TV programme The Late Late Show come to an end after 14 seasons. The Strictly Fish single a dance version of the Chris Andrews hit of the sixties (and Late Late Show theme) was released back in 1999 when the original host Gay Byrne left. The follow up (which also makes a Top 10 appearance) samples another well known RTE theme - this time it's the sports show The Sunday Game. I had bought the picture disc edition of the Lewis Capaldi album on the Saturday, hence the string of tracks in the Top 40 and the climb to number 1 on the album listing. I had also heard Push It by Salt n Pepa somewhere and decided to listen to their album A Salt With A Deadly Pepa (yes I know it's not on that one but it's the album of theirs that I listened to constantly back in the day!). And finally Paul Wallace. A friend on Facebook, he had recorded this Billy Joel cover professionally with Elio Pace (check out his Billy Joel Songbook show if you get the chance!) and had decided to do a private CD pressing. He sent me a copy of the CD and I had been listening to it over the course of the week.

Hey shaky, how are you doing?

So this era I feel like Niall Horan has taken a leaf out of Harry's book. His music now is quite similar in that respect and it's not a bad thing, it's just not quite as good. Saying that, meltdown is quite decent but again, just not good enough to chart I don't think.
That's a nice re-entry for Miracle. It's fantastic.

I'm hoping to see 0800 heaven enter here at some point. That would be good

I'm not a massive fan of react. I get why it's popular but meh. Love the sample though.
Unhealthy hasn't really got it's hooks in me yet either. It is decent though.
Overpass graffiti is quite good. Not really feeling this era from Ed though which is a shame after his last album.
Vampire is phenomenal and in shocked at just how much I like it.
I'm hoping to see 0800 heaven enter soon!

I'm so happy to see 0800 heaven enter this week. What a bop!
These are the days is nice enough though I'm not quite sure how well it could do officially. I don't know if S Club are, but it would be nice if they were to donate the money from this single to a charity.
Bad Habits was a bop back in the day. The first Ed Sheeran song I properly liked as well!

Don't be silly, being a week late doesn't matter because charts are reused for a few weeks before that person's charts aren't counted. I have been doing commentaries for the previous charts but haven't got round to posting them all. I'm going to put them on during the week but time permitting from now I'll add them when I post the charts.

This week sees a major clearout on both listings and there's one reason for this. On Monday morning my favourite band announced their first Belfast show in six and a half years and ahead of the presale on Wednesday morning I was listening pretty much non stop to their back catalogue. This should have been a better week for The Proclaimers but just hours before the Saw Doctors announcement they had to cancel all their upcoming shows including Wednesday's Belfast gig. It's all about the concerts this week - Holly Johnson announced shows in Belfast and Dublin and as a result Americanos and Love Train both make the tracks chart. Snap are back in the chart because I've had the song in my head for most of the week thanks to hearing it constantly on the TV where it is currently being used in an advert for Tesco. And I've been listening a bit to the Paul Hardcastle set where the singles are the highlight, especially The Wizard which climbs to number 1. There is a link between it and two of the other songs in this week's chart. Busy Boy is the theme to the old children's television show Catweazle, Day Trip is a piece of incidental music from that show and the spoken bits of The Wizard are the voice of actor Geoffrey Bayldon who played Catweazle.

Another week listening to the Saw Doctors and it shows with 20 tacks in the Top 50. Last week I focused on the regular studio albums, this week I moved on to some of the others including That Takes The Biscuit (a collection of b-sides and rarities), Live At The Melody Tent and the 2009 compilation "To Win Just Once".

Also doing well this week are Stiff Little Fingers. I had been to see them at their now annual show at Custom House Square in Belfast. One of the support acts was Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols - 2 of their songs also make the chart this week.

And the Dua Lipa & Olivia Rodrigo entries come as a result of the release of physical editions of the singles.

I've been off work all week and not been listening to as much music as usual. Again on the album front it's been mainly the Saw Doctors taking the odd break to listen to Lewis Capaldi and a bit of SLF. There's an unseasonal new entry on the tracks chart at 30 following the discovery this week that the Irish Christmas number 1 from 1990 has finally made it onto the various digital platforms. The song was only ever available on cassette until the end of last year - there was a new version released for the 30th anniversary in 2020 but that was a limited download available from the website of the charity they were raising money for. A couple more tracks entering this week as they are in my head from listening to the Northern Ireland chart show on Sunday.

And as soon as they drop out there's another Saw Doctors album to take their place! Gave a spin to some albums by other artists that I have booked tickets for recently - Deacon Blue are in Belfast next week and Elio Pace is bringing his Billy Joel Songbook show back next year. And Neville Staple of The Specials is supporting The Undertones at the end of November. Bryan Adams has a new single out and after checking it out I gave an overdue play to his most recent album too.

On the tracks chart there are a couple of Elvis tracks following another concert I was at starring Elvis tribute act Ciaran Houlihan. Simple Minds make it in with Mandela Day (yes that's another concert ticket purchase) and Mark McCabe returns after I spotted the song while going through my ITunes account.

All change in the album chart with only Lewis Capaldi hanging on from last week. Sharon Shannon & Mundy returned to the tracks chart last week after the release of a remix of Galway Girl and following on from that I started playing her self titled debut album along with a more recent offering Collaborations and a couple of tracks from that make the chart as well. I'm heading over to see Nik Kershaw shortly on his UK tour (which sadly doesn't include Belfast) and his first 2 albums have charted as a result. The first 2 albums by The Corrs are also doing well getting played for the first time in a while following the news that Forgiven Not Forgotten is on the release list for this year's National Album Day. Sonia is the beneficiary of getting suggested on Spotify and I discovered that Bad Manners are back out on tour shortly and I'm finally going to get a chance to see them live.

OMD announced a 2024 tour this week and I dug out their last album. Some other albums getting a play for the first time in ages along with 2 new releases from Busted and Ash. On the tracks chart To Whom It Concerns gets a large climb as the Late Late Show returned on RTE TV with new host Patrick Kielty.

Madness announced their new album and Finbar Furey released his new album. Is There Anybody Out There? is track 4 on the new Madness CD single for C'est La Vie. The track is exclusive to the CD single until the album comes out, the other 3 are also available to download and stream.

A busy couple of weeks for me with 6 concerts to attend in 12 days. It all kicked off with Nik Kershaw in Chester on Sunday 1st Octover followed on the Wednesday with Deacon Blue in Befast. I finally got to see the Wham! documentary on Netflix which saw a chart boost for them and on my return home from England I received a signed copy of Holly Johnson's debut solo album.

A week after Nik Kershaw it was back to Belfast to see Busted (supported by Hanson and The Tyne) and the following night it was the turn of Haircut 100. Rounding of my busy gig schedule was the legend that is Christy Moore. At the start of the week it was announced that he was doing an open air gig in Belfast next summer with tickets going on sale on Friday (which sold out in half an hour). Also this week Bryan Adams announced some new shows for the UK and Ireland including Belfast. And Rick Astley's album arrived in the post on Thursday so managed a couple of listens before the weekend.

Another good week for Bryan Adams but it's another newly announced concert that is causing a big shake up as Take That announced a European leg to their upcoming tour and it includes a show in Belfast. Falco came up as a recommendation on Spotify and as a result I've been listening to the expanded edition of the Emotional album and a more recent release which is a recording of a complete show he did back in Frankfurt in 1986 (an edited version of which appears in DVD form on the Emotional deluxe edition).

Album-wise I moved on from Emotional to Falco 3 this week, played a bit of the Corrs Forgiven Not Forgotten (which narrowly misses out on the Top 10) as I got my NAD vinyl edition and dug out a couple of albums which I haven't played much recently.

While I was listening to the new OMD album I noticed that Duran Duran also have a new album out, out of curiosity I listened to Ghost Town to see if it was THAT one and it is. And a great cover as well. Another concert announcement on Friday - Sting is doing a couple of Irish shows next summer and his special guests will be Blondie. Time to dig out some of the old albums, first up thogh the most recent Blondie album - Pollinator - which should be in the album chart next week but for now the opening track Doom or Destiny has made the tracks chart.

OMD was the big album for me over the week and there was an increase in Saw Doctors music as I was going to see them on Friday evening in Belfast. But the big news of the week was that on Tuesday there were a string of new live shows announced for Bruce Springsteen including one in Belfast. A couple of songs enter after popping up when I used the Spotify DJ option and the Beatles creep in at number 50 on the tracks chart.

Oh an old new pink song entering? Who knew is great though.
Bittersweet goodbye never ever clicked with me for whatever reason and I've heard it a few times now.
Stan is a bop of course. He seemed like the biggest thing in the UK at the time he was making such a massive chart impact.
Breathless is of course a classic. If you haven't already, you should check out Caroline polachek version

No prizes for guessing who I got concert tickets for this week! Having purchased them on Monday morning I decided to play some of the Boss's back catalogue. There are some re-entries for the Saw Doctors after I saw them live in Belfast the previous Friday (3rd November). On Tuesday (7th) I saw Phil Coulter in concert. More recently he has been a recording artist but he started off writing for others and had a lot of success doing so. He co-wrote 2 Eurovision classics with Bill Martin - Puppet On A String and Congratulations. He also wrote for the Bay City Rollers (Shang-A-Lang), Kenny (Fancy Pants), Slik (Requiem) and Cilla Black (Surround Yourself). In the States Elvis had a hit with Phil's song My Boy. He also worked with Irish folk band The Dubliners in the 70s and 2 of his best known songs were recorded by Luke Kelly from the band.

Listening to a lot of Bruce again this week and collected my NAD copy of the Corrs debut album as well. Had preordered the new Madness album on vinyl from HMV although it would be the following Monday before I would be able to pick it up so I had to make do with playing it on Spotify. Still haven't got round to listening to Now Year 1988, had only previously played the first couple of records on it's predecessor and that's where The Sweet and Suzi Quatro come in. Some current chart hits breaking in this week as well.

At the start of this week I attended 3 concerts over 3 nights and it shows up on the charts. On the Friday night it was Holly Johnson, On the Saturday The Undertones and finally Bad Manners on the Sunday. Get What You Need (2003) was the first album that the Undertones recorded with current singer Paul McLoone, the follow up Dig Yourself Deep came out 4 years later. Both albums were only ever released on CD. Last year saw the release of Dig What You Need which is a mix of the 2 previous releases with a 50/50 split in material. As well as CD there was a vinyl issue and there were a few signed copies available at the show. For around £35 we got our money's worth as also on the bill were Belfast punk band The Outcasts, Neville Staple and the Buzzcocks.
Towards the end of the chart week the death of Shane Macgowan was announced. With various other things going on I wasn't listening to much music at that point so only one song fro his back catalogue made it into the Top 50.

Well it was obvious that the Pogues would appear this week and in the album chart Ultimate Collection enters at number 2 though it was mainly the 2nd CD that I was listening to. This is a recording of a concert recorded at Brixton Academy. On the tracks chart the Christmas songs make their first appearances and the other new entries are mostly a result of using the DJ option on Spotify.

Listening to more music than the last couple of weeks and again Bruce Springsteen benefits as I put on 2 of his Dublin shows from earlier in the year. Shaky's Christmas album was dug out this week and provides one of the new entries on the album chart, just ahead of one of three live albums from Bryan Adams. Also this week after a few plays of Born In The USA I decided to dig out another of my favourite 80s albums. I know he has changed his name but to me he'll always be Terence Trent D'Arby. Showaddywaddy are also back following the announcemet this week of some Irish dates for next September. Bruce and Showaddywaddy provide some of the entries on this week's tracks chart with some more Christmas tunes also making their debut. Had a listen to Sleaford Mods version of West End Girls during the week and thought it was quite good, it turns up just outside the Top 30.

Final concert of the year on Tuesday night! A great show called Fairytale of New York (Coming Home For Christmas) which was a mix of Christmas songs and well known Irish songs. I picked up a copy of the cast recording CD afterwards and it and several of the songs have made this week's charts. Beoga may not be a name that will be familiar to many but their Top 30 entry this week will be. It was sampled by Ed Sheeran on Galway Girl and the band became good mates of his supporting him on one of his Irish tours. You can also see them if you watch his Live Lounge performance of Fairytale of New York. Completing the list of entries are a few Christmas songs including the new number 1 - this was an old song which wasn't recorded until the band reunited a few years back.

A week of two halves - the first few days filled with Christmas songs and the second with a mix of stuff. Again Bruce Springsteen was played quite a bit, this time the final of his 3 Dublin shows from 2023 as I realised that it was a year exactly before I see him in Belfast (9th May). Also this week Jean-Michel Jarre did a live show and I dug out the Concerts In China album. Finally there were 4 new episodes of BBC NI's comedy show Give My Head Peace and as a result the theme tune returns the Saw Doctors to the Top 50.

So time for the Christmas clearout and time to play a few albums that I haven't listened to as much recently! Plus a new release from Busted who are taking the proverbial with different variations on the Greatest Hits formats.

Also this week I found a Spotify playlist containing the contents of all 116 regular volumes of the regular Now series. Had it on random play for a couple of days and a couple of the tracks have made it in this week. The Tony Christie re-entry is concert related - his 3 Irish shows at the end of January were cancelled.

Another week, another concert announcement! Well 3 in fact as singer Rebel Dean announces his first ever shows in Northern Ireland with his Shakin' Stevens tribute "A Whole Lotta Shakin'". As well as listening to his own album featuring songs from the show I put the Fire In The Blood box set on random play on Spotify. Also this week I decided to play some classic albums from the 80s and 90s and as a result Dire Straits make a surprise appearance in the top 10.

Time to play some albums that I hadn't listened to for a while and again some of the songs made the tracks chart. I had another few plays of Brothers in Arms which to be honest I hadn't really listened to much back in the day though I had taped a copy from someone at school and I picked up on CD at one point. And for the first time since I bought it Lewis Capaldi's album drops out of the top 10.

Lewis Capaldi returns to the album chart amongs a varied selection of titles. The song La Bamba appeared on a Spotify playlist and that led to me playing the entire soundtrack album. Just below that another random entry which bizarrely is the fault of Vyvyan from 80s comedy show The Young Ones. I was reading Aadrian Edmondson's autobiography "Berserker" and there was a chapter about this album which was a family favourite of ours back in the 70s. Someone posted a link on Facebook to a radio programme about Alan Freeman during the week which led to me seeking out the Propellerheads track.

Bruce bounces back to the top of the album chart! Finally got round to ordering the vinyl edition during the week and I gave it a few plays on Spotify along with one of the 2023 Irish shows which is on nugs.net. Also ordered with BITUSA was the new installment of the Now Yearbook series (1990) but I'm still playing catchup and put the 1988 version on during the week. Amy Macdonald is another one that popped up on a Spotify playlist and I dug out the vinyl re-issue of the album. A few current tunes have been growing on me in the last 2 or 3 weeks during the NI Hit 40 show. I had a listen to Absolutely by Madness as well and remembered how good the song Solid Gone is. Apache Indian is another random one - someone posted about it on a Facebook group and next thing I know it's inside my Top 10. Last Friday saw the Irish Eurovison selection. While I can't stand the winning song I checked out some of the previous entries and Et Cetera was one of the best in the last 20 years.

No change in the top 2 albums! Although I had both on cassette at the time and later upgraded to CD neither was something that I would play often. That has changed over the last couple of months as almost 4 decades after everyone else I have come to realise what great albums they are! During the week The Corrs and Therapy? both announced new Belfast shows so it was time to dig out some of their albums. Most of the other new entries on the tracks chart are from the latest issue in the Now Yearbook series - 1990 - which also makes the album chart.

Another week, another concert! This week it was the turn of Rick Astley. I finally got round to listening to the new Rod Stewart / Jools Holland CD during the week having collected my signed copy from HMV. With just 2 months before I finally get to see him live I dug out Bruce Springsteen's 5 record Live 75-85 set as well. The 2 new entries on the tracks chart from Harry Styles and AC/DC are also down to Rick as he performed both at his shows.

Although I have had the CD for years I've never really played Born To Run much but this week I gave it another chance after realsing that I was actually very familiar with most of the tracks from the various live shows I have been listening to. Ironically I was listening to one of those shows again when the news broke of the death of Irish journalist and broadcaster Charlie Bird who had been diagnosed with MND a couple of years ago. Charlie was a massive Bruce Springsteen fan and was actually at that very concert when Bruce dedicated Land of Hope and Dreams to him.

The most played track on the last day of the chart week was the new single from the Saw Doctors. That day was also the last day of Cheltenham and there was a horse called Pied Piper running in one of the races. The horse came in 3rd and I won a few pounds on it. That was another song that got a few plays that afternoon. Tiberius Minnows got a few plays during the week after seeing that it was 33 years that week since the single was released. Jason Donovan was a random play on spotify.

Went to Simple Minds on Tuesday and had a listen to the Street Fighting Years album beforehand. Also had a few plays of Lewis Capaldi after not having listened to it much recently. The Bruce Springsteen new entry is the first in what could be a regular series of one week stays. I discovered this week that every Monday they put a handful of shows up for free streaming on the nugs.net app. She Says by The Saw Doctors makes a high re-entry as I had been to see the stage show version of the BBC NI sitcom Give My Head Peace for which it is the theme tune (although not actually featured in the live show). The Shaky and Beoga tracks came up randomly on Spotify.

Monday saw another one week Bruce Springsteen gig available on nugs.net, this time From Detroit in March 1988. Much more up to date and permanent as I bought it as a download fromm the site is the opening show of the 2024 tour which was in Phoenix, Arizona on 19th March. The River was this week's selection from the Springsteen back catalogue. And 2 classic 80s album also chart this week - Lloyd Cole & The Commotions and Tears For Fears. Two tracks make massive climbs this week and in both cases it is mainly due to a concert I attended to mark the centenary of my old school. There were songs from each decade since the school opened and the one chosen to represent the current decade was Stick Season. One of the guest musicians was one of the members of Beoga who is a past pupil.

This week's free stream on nugs.net was from the 2023 tour and became available exactly 1 year from the date of the concert. The latest live recording had a full week's plays and climbs to number 1. I had a listen to Ed Sheeran's Divide album for the first time in ages along with Beoga's mini album. And time to dig out a couple of Marillion deluxe sets.

Beyonce's new album was released and while I only listened to a small part of it I did like Jolene enough to chart it. Sinead Lohan's name cropped up on an internet forum and that lead to me playing her cover of Bob Dylan's To Ramona.​

This week's Bruce freebie from 8th April 2014 didn't make it this week as I was listening to so much other stuff including someone else I'm seeing live next month - Bryan Adams makes a spectacular return to the charts. OMD are moving in and out at the minute and Black Star Riders have also made it back in to the album chart.

In the singes chart The Hooters debut with a song that I heard on a TV show during the week. It was a different Bonnie Tyler song that got all the airplay following the eclipse during the week but it was Holding Out For A Hero that I was listening to. The week saw the 35th anniversary of the release of Iron Maiden's Seventh Son of A Seventh Son and while the album narrowly missed out on the Top 10 a couple of the tracks did make the singles list. Dustin the Turkey made it onto one of my spotify playlists along with the Traveling Wilburys - it's possible that I'll be listening to the albums over the coming week.

Was sorting through some CDs this week and came across my collection of albums and singles by Sinead Lohan. She released her debut album in 1995 and the second and final album in 1998. After that she disappeared to start a family and has been absent from the music world ever since. Elsewhere I was listening a bit more to Bryan Adams and the other albums and tracks that I was listening to the previus week.

The start of this chart week coincided with Record Store Day. Saddly our local indie shop closed shortly after last year's event and the nearest participant was a half hour bus journey away. Luckily there wasn't anything that I particularly wanted so there was no great rush to be there at opening time - I did go however and picked up a couple of releases that weren't actual RSD releases. First up was the Bryan Adams Live At The Royal Albert Hall vinyl box set which I ended up listening to via Spotify. Also got a 10 white vinyl double edition of Amy Macdonald's debut album but that doesn't chart as I didn't get round to listening to it. On the Sunday evening I went to see the fabulous Billy Joel Songbook show in Belfast - if you ever get the chance to see it, go. The live recording of the show made it into the album chart and would probably be a bit higher if it was on Spotify - I was listening to it on CD. Over the last few weeks I have been trying to play albums which I haven't heard for a long time and this week it was the turn of Gina G.

This week I was looking forward to another concert - this one taking place on Saturday 27th and the big hit from one of the artists taking part in it returned to the bottom end of the chart - that being Maniac 2000 by Mark McCabe.

So to that concert. Well a concert / disco... The Biggest 90s /00s Disco brings together around a dozen acts to perform their big hits in an arena setting. This time the venue was the SSE Arena in Belfast and the acts included Vengaboys, Five, Atomic Kitten, Phats and Small, Sonique, Rednex and Baby D. Headling was DJ Sash! and as mentioned previously Irish DJ Mark McCabe. His single Maniac 2000 topped the Irish charts back in the day and is still absolutely massive. It was what I was looking forward to most about the show and it didn't disappoint.
A chance remark by a work colleague in a teams chat prompted me to listen to Queen's 1989 album and that edges it's way into the bottom end of the chart just behind an incredible 5 CD set featuring all the RCA sing;es by Bucks Fizz including the B-sides and instrumentals and extended versions. This one only arrived on Friday morning so should climb next week. Also out this week was the latest Now Yearbook which will hopefully arrive in time for me to listen to before next week's charts. Incidentally those are likely to be taken over by one artist - Bruce Springsteen plays Belfast on Thursday. Speaking of which this weeks highest new entry on the album chart is this week's freebie on nugs.net

No prizes for guessing where I was last Thursday night! At the start of the chart week I listened to a few of the albums that I had been playing a lot recently but from Tuesday onwards it was Bruce all the way. And expect it to continue this week. I had pre-ordered the Belfast CD weeks ago and as I type this I'm expecting it to be availab;e for streaming in the next day or so and having heard great reviews online I invested in an mp3 of the Cardiff show on Saturday.
