Let Me Love You becomes the 14th different #1 in as many weeks, without a single chart-topper staying at #1 for multiple weeks since Joel Adams' Please Don't Go spent 2 weeks there in April. Please Don't Go actually drops out of my chart for the first time this week, having entered in January. It spent 33 weeks in the chart, and loses its longest runner status to Frans' If I Were Sorry, which is currently on its 24th week. Back to this week's #1, Let Me Love You is only the second chart entry for DJ Snake after his collaboration with Major Lazer and MØ on Lean On. It's quite the opposite for Justin though, who notched up his 37th chart entry last week when Let Me Love You debuted at #12. He earns his second chart topper in just three weeks, and Cold Water stays at #2 this week, meaning Justin locks out the top 2 positions for the first time. Artists to have achieved this previously include Iggy Azalea, Lily Allen, Hunter Hayes and Conrad Sewell. Good Summer is the first single taken from Kate's upcoming fourth studio album, the follow-up to 2013's Girl Talk. Kate's singles discography looks perhaps underwhelming but her 2007 debut album Made of Bricks is my all-time favourite, and you can see a couple of the album tracks becoming top 20 singles over 4 years after its release (bearing in mind my chart began 2 weeks before the end of 2011). Her third era was moderately successful with lead single 3AM being a top 10 hit, but follow-ups Omygod! and Fri-End? were less successful. Other new entries include The Tide, who are almost certainly set to climb higher next week considering the #13 debut is based on less than 24 hours, so I will discuss them in more detail next week. Dreezy (pictured) also notches up her second concurrent top 15 hit, but first as a lead artist, with Body at #15, featuring Jeremih. twenty one pilots achieve a new personal best position, with Heathens debuting at #17, outpeaking the #24 peak achieved by Stressed Out earlier this year.

Great pair of Bieber features on top there, with both making for nice and easy summertime listening. Might just about prefer 'Cold Water' due to MØ's presence. Also a big fan of your #3 <3. Definitely the song with the most hit potential from JoJo's newfound freedom, much as I love 'Save My Soul'. Wiz's contribution complements seamlessly too, rather than feeling tacked on for much-needed attention. Hope it can fulfil some of its potential but even that's probably asking too much. Yay for top 10 for Tove, and the 'Heathens' new entry too. The Tom Odell album seems to have really delivered then? Haven't checked it out yet but will definitely get on it soon!

Both Bieber songs really are perfect for the weather right now, I think I prefer Cold Water overall but Let Me Love You isn't miles behind, Justin really is on top of his game right now! I am PRAYING that JoJo can have a (re-)breakthrough moment at some point, and this does sound a lot like the type of song that could do it, but I expect Radio 1 and the like will just see her as a has-been shame because it really is so good, definitely the best thing I've heard from her in recent times! Although of course it doesn't touch the holy duo of Leave (Get Out) and especially Too Little, Too Late Tom's album isn't as good as Long Way Down but that was always gonna be tough to top, there's a lot to enjoy on the new album, Concrete in particular is worth checking out if you've not heard it yet I think!
