    My Review
Now That’s What I Call Music! 106 otherwise known as Now 106 was released in the Summer of 2020, just 11 weeks after it's predecessor which was released late due to initial delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Given that the gap was small, the selection of songs to choose from was relatively reduced, and as such, only 41 songs were selected, but that didn't stop 3 UK #1 singles from being included. It marked the first volume in the series to have music from Nathan Dawe, Topic, S1mba, 220 KID, Tion Wayne, Jessie Ware and YUNGBLUD.

Live Lounge Allstars were amongst the omissions this time, as well as other overlooked artists like Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber, Megan Thee Stallion, Ava Max, Jubλl, Chris Brown & Young Thug, Jack Harlow and others.

This is the only volume up to this point to feature music from Jawsh 685, Surf Mesa, Powfu, HOSH, Robbie Doherty, JP Saxe, Lil Mosey, StaySolidRocky, THE SCOTTS, Niko B, Natalie Taylor, Rhys Lewis and Michael Ball.

Artwork Rating: 6/10 Good
A typical Summer themed cover, this time with various sea creatures and corals set against a sunny ocean backdrop. Effective and decent overall but feels very samey to other Summer volumes of recent years too.

Disc 1 Favourite: Regard & RAYE – Secrets
The song that convinced me that RAYE was going to be a huge dance featured artist with a collaboration like this. A wonderful follow up single to Ride It and the start of many RAYE hits to come.

Disc 2 Favourite: 220 KID & GRACEY – Don't Need Love
A first introduction for me to both artists here, and one that made me sit up and take notice with anticipation for what would come from this song. It was a welcome hit in the Summer of 2020 and one that remains the best from 220 KID.

Disc 3 Tracklist:
(A concept of what a third disc might look like if other hits from the era were used)

1. Live Lounge Allstars – Times Like These (BBC Radio 1 Stay Home) 4:16 {1}
2. Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber – Stuck With U 3:48 {4}
3. DJ Khaled feat. Drake – Greece 3:39 {8}
4. Chris Brown & Young Thug – Go Crazy 2:57 {10}
5. Pop Smoke feat. 50 Cent & Roddy Ricch – The Woo 3:22 {9}
6. Juice WRLD & Marshmello – Come & Go 3:25 {9}
7. Ty Dolla $ign, FKA Twigs, Skrillex & Kanye West – Ego Death 3:52 {34}
8. Megan Thee Stallion – Savage 2:35 {3}
9. BLACKPINK – How You Like That 3:03 {20}
10. Ava Max – Kings & Queens 2:42 {19}
11. Ella Henderson – Take Care Of You 3:14 {50}
12. Jubλl feat. Neimy – Dancing In The Moonlight 2:44 {11}
13. Marshmello & Halsey – Be Kind 2:53 {33}
14. Dadi Freyr – Think About Things 2:53 {34}
15. Bring Me The Horizon – Parasite Eve 4:52 {28}
16. Wallows feat. Clairo – Are You Bored Yet 2:58 {65}
17. Dixie – Be Happy 3:19 {55}
18. Anne-Marie feat. Doja Cat – To Be Young 3:15 {74}
19. Jack Harlow – WHATS POPPIN 2:20 {25}
20. Aitch – 30 2:17 {36}
21. MIST feat. Fredo – House Party 2:50 {42}
22. Don Toliver – After Party 2:48 {47}
23. Will Ferrell & My Marianne – Husavik 3:22 {59}
24. Amanda Holden – Over The Rainbow 3:10 {53}
25. Vera Lynn – We'll Meet Again 3:23 {55}
----------
Total time: 1:19:57

Overall Rating: 3/10 Extremely Poor

There was plenty of room for more tracks on both discs this time, and a substantial reduction in songs was the cause for its downfall. Overlooking quite a few songs that were worthy of a placement on this volume and would have enhanced it's overall rating. Not the best time period for new music, but also the fact that a quarter of the whole volume are songs which did not chart when those that did were ignored is one of the biggest insults to what the series stands for.

My Best 5 (as of June 2022)
1. Regard & RAYE – Secrets
2. Harry Styles – Watermelon Sugar
3. 220 KID & GRACEY – Don't Need Love
4. Joel Corry feat. MNEK – Head & Heart
5. Topic & A7S – Breaking Me

My Worst 5 (as of June 2022)
1. Michael Ball, Captain Tom Moore & The NHS Voices of Care Choir – You'll Never Walk Alone
2. StaySolidRocky – Party Girl
3. Ronan Keating – Little Thing Called Love
4. JP Saxe feat. Julia Michaels – If The World Was Ending
5. Lil Mosey – Blueberry Faygo

I think that "Tondo" was edited because there's only a 5 minute version on streaming platforms. I remember it because I was struggling to find a short version for a radio playlist

Gosh just looking at the list of songs on here. So bad that I only like 2 or 3 songs drama.gif What happened to these :/

On the plus side at least the artwork is nice enough.
