Unfortunately, not everyone is pleased with this news, especially Kylie Minogue.

Jenner put in an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office last year. And Minogue is trying to put a stop to this by having KDB, the company that represents the Aussie singer, filing “a notice of opposition” to Jenner’s application on Monday (February 22).

KDB claims that if Jenner’s application is approved and “Kylie is trademarked that will bring on confusion for both the celebrities and their brands. The company also points out that Minogue already own the trademarks for “Kylie Minogue darling,” “Lucky – the Kylie Minogue musical” and “Kylie Minogue.” KDB also slipped in some shade into their application by referring to Jenner as a “secondary reality television personality.”

Soon after Minogue filed her opposition, Jenner then applied to trademark “Kylie” for entertainment usage.

It looks like this battle is going to be a long one.

Kylie Jenner has had more plastic surgeries and photoshopped her face many more times on Instagram than Kylie singing "lucky lucky" over her entire career.

I think she might mean as a brand name, like just Kylie lipstick or something. This Kylie is still Kylie Minogue on albums and stuff so should be fine. But I still think regardless of that, to try and trademark a given name is more than a bit ridic.
