New releases should be out an hour early again this week so here you are!
I think we're back to normal Joseph. US clocks went back last weekend
Oh that's strange, cause The Tide's EP pre-order was set to go on sale at 5pm on Tuesday and it appeared at 4pm No harm just in case anyway
Predicting that Vaults will get to number 2 by Friday night and then go to number 1 by Sunday
Also hoping that So Good and Find Me get reduced to 59p!
ALL NIGHT FOR 59P PLEASE
Vaults will hopefully be top 20 this week, and we should be treated to more atop 40 new entries from MiC LOWRY and maybe a top ten for Rae Sremmurd. Decent week!
*Bills The Vamps 40p* ;o
The Vamps are now 59p!! They heard me
As per usual, the live lounge tracks are all album only. If they didn't make them album only, just imagine how well they would chart
Mura Masa - Love$ick (feat. A$AP Rocky)
KDA - Just Say (feat. Tinashe)
Both 59p
I hope Good Life does well, such a great 00s funky house throwback record
Glad Nathan Sykes has stayed at 59p with 'Famous' - will hopefully encourage some extra sales after his XF performance. And shocked/pleased to see he is #2 on the album chart already!
Just learned the saddening news of Leonard Cohen's death. I expect to see Hallelujah soar up the iTunes chart imminently.
Leonard Cohen's sad passing will see Hallelujah go towards the top of the charts and the album go back into the top five

23. The xx - On Hold

Wonder if Nicole Kidmans version will get anywhere
Zara's new song is giving me Tove Lo vibes
Cue the "Leonard has timed it perfectly" posts...
1498. Ellie Goulding - Still Falling For You (Live)
This version is so much better. Hoping that fan-base buys can get it top 150
106. Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah
#42 Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah
R.I.P.
His new album will climb back up too I guess.
Ps: the Jeff Buckley, Alexandra Burke versions are also top 120.
Vamps should secure a second week top 40 being 59p, they were rising on iTunes as it is. I can see it outselling everything from the last era now, as a high iTunes placing will pick it up more airplay from commercail radio.

When is CIN this year?
Rae Sremmurd almost Top 10 . Doesn't sound like a UK chart hit, so very interesting to see. Our chart becoming more homogeneous?
Was expecting Vaults to get top 3 today!
I think it's just a Harlem Shake kinda case, that type of song wouldn't usually go top 10 here but the Mannequin challenge (just like the Harlem Shake videos) is becoming unavoidable, so the song is bound to spread quite significantly.
Why are all these tracks together on iTunes?
Never saw that before.
must be an error and sales of the album are going towards all the tracks in the singles chart? unless about 30 fans decided to purchase each track individually.
actually I've looked it up on iTunes and it seems you cannot buy their album and you have to download each track for 79p each if you want the whole album.
15. Zara Larsson - I Would Like
Just NO at this promo single doing better than her actual single! I really don't understand. Not that 'I Would Like' isn't deserving (it is - it's great) it's just a bizarre situation!
I don't get why it's being labelled as just a promo single though. It feels like it has potential.
Wouldn't be surprising if they just decide to promote it to actual single, like what happened to Do What U Want
Regarding Zara, the song is ok, but to me it just seems like a huge step down from her other singles. I know this isn't a single though and I'm glad... this just isn't her.
EDIT: If the song was for her fans, then I don't see why it is being promoted on iTunes and has a fancy artwork etc.. Maybe they're testing the water with this track?
I Would Like is massively infectious, stuck in my head all day long, it has massive hit potential.
6. Vaults - One Day I'll Fly Away
14. Zara Larsson - I Would Like
32. Emeli Sandé - Breathing Underwater
39. Coldplay – Everglow
49. Gabrielle Aplin - Miss You

461. The Weeknd - Starboy (feat. Daft Punk) [Kygo Remix]
525. Oliver Heldens - Good Life (feat. Ida Corr)
#117 King Astley - Pray With Me
12. Zara Larsson - I Would Like
I'm guessing this will be its peak position on iTunes or it will do similar to AINT My fault and peak atv11 while being incredibly close to the top 10 on iTunes. I wouldn't be surprised if her label change this to a single due to its performance in other countries but I'm okay with it being a promo / album track. Zara's fanbase is bigger than I thought!
Does anyone know where Beth McCarthy - The Streets of London is?
Never expected Rae Sremmurd to have a hit like this, they came across as a bit of joke act with No Flex Zone. Luckily No Type was a marked improvement, still it seems a bit out of nowhere from a group I doubt many have even heard of in this country.
10. Rae Sremmurd - Black Beatles (feat. Gucci Mane)
12. Zara Larsson - I Would Like
42. Nevada - The Mack (feat. Mark Morrison & Fetty Wap)
46. Gabrielle Aplin - Miss You
96. Pentatonix - Hallelujah
Vaults will hopefully recover after their fall now that the John Lewis ad is being used during X Factor ad breaks
9. Vaults - One Day I'll Fly Away
should rise after being used in the ad break
Sister Sledge performed 'We Are Family' too so that could get a boost
John Lewis has recovered a bit: now back up to #7
Surprised Vaults aren't that much higher tbh
10. Love My Life - Robbie Williams
6. Robbie Williams - Love My Life

86. Hallelujah - Alexandra Burke
90. All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey
99. Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers
100. You Want It Darker - Leonard Cohen
Amazing that 'Easy Street' is still as high as #28!
It's not even top 200^
Is there a certain reason Charli XCX is climbing back up?
Hoping it can keep doing so and make top 40 officially at some point.
19. The Vamps & Matoma - All Night
86 & 171. Mariah Carey- All I Want For Christmas Is You
129. Roy Wood & Wizzard- I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday

1231. The Ronettes- Frosty The Snowman
1280. Coldplay- Christmas Lights
1337. Michael Buble- Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
1386. Matthew West- The Heart of Christmas
1485. John Lennon- Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
John Lennon should be higher
Interesting to see how Robbie will hold up during the week when the Jonathon Ross effect wears off.
...already to #6.
I seen today that MTV Christmas has started already - and VH1/Magic are playing Xmas charts non stop - I know we ask every year but is the official best selling Xmas top 40 up to date for 2016 or an old recording from a previous year?
Robbie Williams is on Loose Women tomorrow!
Before XFactor:
16. Nathan Sykes - Famous (59p)
24. Olly Murs - Grow Up (59p)
Rae Sremmurd at #9 *.* Hope this can be an official top 10 for them in the coming weeks.
Wow at how high Robbie is after a bit of promo! His eternal relevance.
Have a feeling Nathan Sykes is going to to shoot up and get a big climb that was a very good Peformance from him !
top 5 for Nathan Sykes probably.
18. The Vamps - All Night
Pleased to see The Vamps are climbing steadily, I hope it continues for them.
08. Nathan Sykes - Famous
24. Olly Murs - Grow Up
Nathan up from 16 to 8 with Famous, Also the deluxe version of his album has climbed from 20 to 11 and the standard version back in the Top 150 at 96. Great boosts for him and his album is really really strong!
and now up to 5
4. Nathan Sykes - Famous
16.Olly Murs - Grow Up
As I predicted, Nathan top 5!
Has Mary J. Blige No More Drama made an appearance?
Olly is also at 49.
31. Charli XCX - After the Afterparty (feat. Lil Yachty)
287. Mary J. Blige - No More Drama
Olly is currently around #12 combined. Shame R1 took it off the playlist prematurely.
Hopefully Ollys Grow up can go top 40 officially. Read My Mind should have been Ollys second singles.
4. Nathan Sykes - Famous
9. Vaults - One Day I'll Fly Away
14. Olly Murs - Grow Up
31. Chari XCX - After The Afterparty
Expect to see some jumps for the following songs tomorrow!
Olly Murs - Grow Up
The Vamps - All Night
Ellie Goulding - Still Falling For You
Rick Astley - Pray With Me
^(Due to the 'CiN Sir Terry' concert!)
There seems to be less interest in Olly Murs no, his singles arnt doing that great.
Maybe he's already becoming an albums artist lol
There is no denying Olly Murs has always had successful albums. He is still doing very well and general.
Ya and you dont know love is a good example of that, it peaked lower than i thought it would but because of its consistent chart run it has done ok in the end and will probably get a boost this week from his x factor performance. I think Olly's album will sell well right through the whole christmas period and it will probably end up selling around 400,000 overall which isnt a bad result at all.
03. Nathan Sykes - Famous
7. Rae Sremmurd - Black Beatles (feat. Gucci Mane)
12. Olly Murs - Grow Up
27. Charli XCX - After the Afterparty (feat. Lil Yachty)
32. Nevada - The Mack (feat. Mark Morrison & Fetty Wap)
44. Gabrielle Aplin - Miss You
124. Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea & Jasha Klebe - Planet Earth II Suite
78. (Also 148) Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You
10. Olly Murs - Grow Up
44. Ellie Goulding - Still Falling For You
75. Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I Love You
89. Birdy - Wings
121. Craig David - All We Needed
125. Craig David - All We Needed (CIN version)
CIN Rocks effect
^^Are they all the acts/songs performed on CIN Rocks?
Kinda surprised to see 'Grow Up' getting that high even with an XF performance tbh. It's such a terrible song by his standards. (Then again, that Nathan Sykes song is even worse and that's now top 3 :eyes: )
Grow Up and Still Falling For You certainly weren't performed, it was a tribute show for Terry Wogan this year so the artists performed some of his favourite songs (although selfishly I was hoping The Vamps would perform All Night )
After the Afterparty sounds like something from the dance pop phase of 2010 (Ke$ha etc) - production wise and even down to the lyrics about glitter and partying, why is it doing so well? That kind of song should stay back in 2010 imo I though we had moved on from this kind of immature pop song.
'After the Afterparty' is a fun, harmless bop. I'm glad it's doing decently.
10. So Good - Louisa Johnson
11. Grow Up - Olly Murs
What a Top 10 (Nathan #3, Robbie #5 and Olly #10). All were expected to under perform so I guess it still goes to show the power of XF promo.
We're back!!
Britney Spears 'Slumber Party' ft Tinashe #69 & #305
Britney crashed Buzzjack.
Finally we're here
Anyway, Black Beatles up to 3!
21 Little Mix Touch
56 Britney Spears Slumber Party (feat. Tinashe)
Two singles finishing 2016 with a bang.
Surprised that Britney and Tinashe are top 60! genuinely thought it'd be more of a fleeting top 100 appearance by this point and disappear after that. Glad its gonna be a more fleeting top 60 on iTunes hit instead.
2 Rae Sremmurd - Black Beatles (feat. Gucci Mane)
6 Nathan Sykes - Famous
12 Olly Murs - Grow Up
20 Nevada - The Mack (feat. Fetty Wap & Mark Morrison)
24 Rag'n'Bone Man - Human
60 Wilkinson - Sweet Lies (feat. Karen Harding)
62 Disciples - Daylight
76 Sage the Gemini - Now and Later
77 Craig David - All We Needed (CIN 2016 Single) [also #97]
This Rae Sremmurd slayage *.*
I don't get that song at all
Rae Sremmurd will easily be next week's #1 then I guess. Amazing how much it's taken off everywhere.
Why's Rag'n'Bone Man climbing? Other than being TotD yesterday.
Oh I wondered when Human would get a shot here. It's good, and I hope it smashes because it will stand out.
I do hope we can have a bit more variety in the chart/played on the radio next year and that people stop shoehorning tropical house elements into their music for no reason other than to try and gain a foothold on Spotify.
Why are people so gassed about this Black Beatles song? I know that it features in the mannequin challenge but other than that I fail to see the appeal of it.
Its appeal IS the Mannequin challenge
I actually really like Black Beatles as a song off its own merit!
#1 turnover looking astonishingly good then *.*
It's seriously blown up recently though, not quite Harlem Shake levels of viralness but close. Even the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLp0c1rjIP0 has done it.
In my opinion, even Juju On That Beat is better than Black Beatles.
There, I've said it
I was hoping that Rockabye would have a longer run at no 1. I guess Black Beatles could potentially get there next week.
Black Beatles imo is quite good, at least it's not yet ANOTHER tropical house or future bass influenced pop song. Its also quite catchy, and I like the singing and the high voiced man singing backing vocals in it.
Both are pretty awful tbh :')
yeah Black Beatles at least has a melody and doesn't make me want to cut my ears off (and it's growing on me too). Juju On That Beat has none of those features.
48. Britney Spears feat. Tinashe - Slumber Party (#402 as well)
YASSSS!!
Really liking Black Beatles after hearing it a few times. Would be great if it ended up at #1. The Nicki Minaj remix is actually decent aswell. Heard it on R1 just there as it's the Hottest Record in The World
Britney Spears feat. Tinashe still not on Spotify
I don't like Black Beatles, and it would be a massive shame if it ended Rockabye's run at number one, but it isn't too bad. Juju On That Beat, however, is so monstrously awful I don't even have words for it.
Omg is a post album release Britney track impacting with the public?!
I hope the track is put on the New Music Friday list ─ would really raise awareness for it. I assume that and some playlists would establish its existence.
I really like that new Britney song.. if only she featured Drake or someone she would be top 10. It wont do anything. It sounds like a hit but alas its Britney and shes not relevant anymore.
Actual Dave from Wikipedia: David Santan (born 5 June 1998), known simply as Dave or Santan Dave, is an English rapper from Streatham, South London.[1][2][3]
Dave released the Six Paths EP and singles "Thiago Silva" and "JKYL+HYD" in 2016. His collaborator and production partner is 169 (Tyrell Paul).[4] He has also worked with Fraser T Smith and AJ Tracey, and Drake has released a remix of one of his tracks
I'm not getting this 'Black Beatles' thing. I mean, it's not the sort of thing I ordinarily like anyway but I can at least usually find some kind of catchy hook or distinguishing feature somewhere... this has nothing?
In all honesty, I can actually recall some of the lyrics from Black Beatles, even if it is just one line. The only lyrics I can remember from Juju On that Beat are...well...'Juju On That Beat'
2. Rae Sremmurd - Black Beatles (feat. Gucci Mane)
20. Nevada - The Mack (feat. Mark Morrison & Fetty Wap)
21. Rag'n'Bone Man - Human
22. Little Mix - Touch
32. Mura Masa - Love$ick (feat. A$AP Rocky)
40. KDA - Just Say (feat. Tinashe)
47. Britney Spears - Slumber Party (feat. Tinashe)
50. Little Mix - Nobody Like You
YES at KDA sneaking Top 40!
I actually quite like Black Beatles, it certainly works well within the confines of the meme that it is attached to, and would make a different and interesting #1 (if it gets there). It is also incredibly hook-y, i'm surprised people think or can't recognise any hooks?
It is certainly a MUCH better single than "Closer" and that new Clean Bandit "Hips Don't Lie" pastiche and total disappointment.
'Black Beatles' is terrible. I really, really hate it. Not quite as much as I hated 'Harlem Shake', but almost!
What are the chances of Little Mix going back to number 1 next week? They're on the Now album* and are surely gonna be one of the 10 that get top 100 due to cherry picks as well as their album being released in two formats (deluxe and standard). I guess it might not be enough, but I'd like to think they could be in with a fighting chance.
* providing they're not "album only" of course, which could be possible due to SyCo wanting all attention on the album instead?
It wouldn't surprise me the singles chart usually slows a bit between now and Xmas with lower sales - we haven't had a return to no1 since Bieber Love Yoirself in January!
'Black Beatles' is FULL of hooks, don't understand how people can claim the opposite!
It's great, glad to see them getting some success. I could imagine it being a hit but never this huge. Definitely didn't see it being a #1 contender! Would be my favourite #1 of the year if it makes it, so I hope it does.
Black Beatles is so bland and boring.. why is the going to number 1?!
Y'all mad at BB potentially going #1
I am glad KDA is top 40, real 00s house style here.
Hopefully it will do a MK and Becky Hill and sneak top 40 officially eventually. Although it isn't a great time for house music to make the charts that isn't tropical house or made by Calvin Harris.
354. Kungs - I Feel So Bad (feat. Ephemerals)
Keeping an eye on this one as it's Radio 1's Track of the Day
can't see it doing anything sadly, problem with Kungs is he set the bar ridiculously high with 'This Girl' that anything he does now will only ever be half as good.
to 93. Not bad
16. Nevada - The Mack (feat. Mark Morrison & Fetty Wap)
27. Mura Masa - Love$ick (feat. A$AP Rocky)
35. KDA - Just Say (feat. Tinashe)
51. Little Mix - Down & Dirty
