I could not be more excited right now. My single comes out today "what About Us" and my new album "Beautiful Trauma" comes out October 13th. I'm certifiably, insanely proud of this album. It's been a while, and I'm grateful for all the years we've had. Looking forward to the next chapter with you.

Posted by: troublepink 9th August 2017, 09:47 PM

Just saw this! SO so excited!!!

Posted by: T Boy 9th August 2017, 09:50 PM

Was hoping for an earlier release date but who the f*** cares?

We're actually getting NEW PINK!

Love that title and cover.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 9th August 2017, 10:29 PM

Love the title and the cover!

She pretty much always nails her album covers.

Posted by: JosephStyles 9th August 2017, 10:49 PM

Exciting!! Love the album cover wub.gif

Posted by: Jordan Lee 9th August 2017, 11:05 PM

YESSSSS finally yahoo.gif waited so long for this!! Really excited to see her back and we see her on some shows like Strictly, X Factor and some chat shows too. I'd love this to be her second UK #1 album.

Posted by: troublepink 9th August 2017, 11:50 PM

I'm loving this era already and we haven't even heard anything yet 😂 The font on that cover is awesome and I love her style and look from what we've seen so far 💕

I feel like we're seeing a more 'grown up ' pink, I don't think it'll be the usual poppy lead single this time and I'm too too excited to hear it 😍❤

Posted by: Meatball Cody 9th August 2017, 11:53 PM

OH WOW. heart.gif Excited from what the aesthetic for this album will be!

Posted by: Liаm 10th August 2017, 12:23 AM

Omg I LOVE the cover, the clip she tweeted of the song sounds good too, ik it's only an intro but it sounds like her usual radio ready tune but more grown up *.* She's so underrated in terms of success, I feel she always pulls off the quality and gets the hits and doesn't get the credit for it. I'm the same towards her myself to be honest, I love her and always have but she's one of those artists I go through periods of forgetting about a bit, but then it comes to times like this where we're buzzing for a new single and I'm reminded how bloody brilliant she is.

Posted by: Cameron 10th August 2017, 01:52 AM

Yas!!!! So ready for this, she always delivers quality

That seems to be correct according to the pre-order.

Posted by: troublepink 10th August 2017, 12:59 PM

didnt realise it was from the pre order laugh.gif I saw it on twitter with no source which is why i put it as being 'rumoured' smile.gif

Glad the tracklist is out, I want all my itunes/last.fm plays to go towards the album not the single kink.gif

She looks amazing on the cover. I'm hoping this will be an era I can stan her on, unfortunately I didn't like much about The Truth About Love, as much as I wanted to. Everything else she's put out though, A+ stuff.

Pink co-wrote all 13 songs on the album, working with a variety of songwriters and producers, including Jack Antonoff, Shellback, Max Martin, McDaid, Mac, Julia Michaels, Greg Kurstin, busbee and others.

Posted by: 360Jupiter 10th August 2017, 01:45 PM

Eep, I meant to disclaimer that off. Even the looks can't save how that era has aged.

Posted by: slowdown73 10th August 2017, 06:39 PM

Any news on deluxe edition?

Posted by: Shaphne 10th August 2017, 06:49 PM

If there was, it would have been posted.

Posted by: troublepink 17th August 2017, 01:59 PM

She's played the album to the UK record company last night. I'm sooooo jealous of all who heard it laugh.gif

Posted by: T Boy 17th August 2017, 03:44 PM

The wait really is too much!

Posted by: troublepink 17th August 2017, 04:03 PM

She is playing the 'world famous rooftop' and will be playing some of the new songs. No date on the website or video but I'm guessing it will be before the album is released cheer.gif

Still no word yet, which is strange as it'd be the first album which doesn't have bonus tracks, deluxe/country versions. Hopefully we'll hear something soon, still over a month until the albums release smile.gif

Posted by: slowdown73 22nd August 2017, 10:17 PM

Katy Perry's witness album got a deluxe edition which was only available through her web store so we may get something similar.

Posted by: troublepink 23rd August 2017, 03:19 AM

I've read on the official forums that we won't be getting a deluxe version this time cry.gif

Posted by: Shaphne 23rd August 2017, 01:32 PM

I think that might be a good idea, with all bonuses TTAL was about 20 odd songs which is too long.

What We Know About P!nk's 'Beautiful Trauma'

Raise Your Glass
It's been five years since P!nk's blockbuster LP The Truth About Love topped the Billboard 200 and spawned three top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including her fourth No. 1 ("Just Give Me a Reason" ft. Nate Ruess). Not that she hasn't been busy: Her folk foray, You+Me with Dallas Green, released its debut album in 2014, and 2016 saw her duet with Kenny Chesney, notch a top 10 hit with "Just Like Fire," and welcome her second child with husband Corey Hart. Even so, this has been the longest wait between P!nk solo efforts – and it comes to a close on Oct. 13 when she invites us to experience her Beautiful Trauma.

Political Pop
P!nk – who co-wrote all the project's tracks -- rounded up a roster of reliable hitmakers for her return to pop. Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" co-writers Steve Mac and Johnny McDaid joined her to pen lead single "What About Us," which she paired with a resistance fist on Instagram and described as "the start of us waking up." Other Beautiful Trauma tracks boast frequent Billboard charts visitors such as pop diva whisperer Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, Greg Kurstin, Shellback, busbee, and "Issues" singer Julia Michaels.

The Truth About P!nk Is…
"She's really down to earth. When you're with her you realize everything she writes and sings is who she is," says Michaels of teaming with P!nk. "[The songs we wrote]were inspired by her personal experiences. I basically sit there and just stare at her the whole time because I'm in awe," she adds, laughing. "And when she goes on the mic, her voice is undeniable."

Writer-producer busbee, who co-wrote "Try" on P!nk's last album, worked with her on a similarly emotional song for the new LP. "I was playing this beautiful ballad-y thing on the piano, and she brought out these lyrics – verse after verse was incredible. It was like throwing logs on that creative spark," busbee says. "It was truly glorious. She's so focused and crazy talented."

Pink is playing a special gig on 6th September in LA, so we may hear new tracks from that!!!! w00t.gif

Posted by: slowdown73 17th September 2017, 01:17 PM

It's a shame there won't be a deluxe edition. Some of the bonus tracks can actually be really good. I suspect this will be reissued at a later stage though like a lot of albums these days.

Posted by: Regina 17th September 2017, 01:22 PM

Why can't people just be happy with what they get?

Posted by: troublepink 17th September 2017, 01:40 PM

I'm a little bit disappointed that we don't get a deluxe version too. There have been deluxe/country special albums for all of her albums so far, so it is a little disappointing that we don't get one for BT.

Hopefully we'll get a tour edition or maybe some special edition released at Christmas heart.gif

Posted by: T Boy 17th September 2017, 01:41 PM

I'm more than content just to have a standard version tbh.

Posted by: Regina 17th September 2017, 01:52 PM

Exactly laugh.gif already demanding more tracks when we've only had the first single is greedy smoke.gif

Posted by: troublepink 4th October 2017, 10:47 AM

'Something' is being released/announced tomorrow at 8amET.

Could be Whatever You Want, but the link that Pink's Facebook page posted is different unsure.gif biggrin.gif

Posted by: troublepink 4th October 2017, 03:47 PM

The Japanese version of BT will have a bonus track... White Rabbit!

I read on UKMix that apparently the second single is 'Revenge', a video has been shot for it and it features Eminem.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 9th October 2017, 11:41 AM

Can’t believe we’re finally getting the album on Friday!!!
Do people think she stands a shot at number 1 in the album charts?
So far UK wise only Funhouse has topped the chart. Really hope she can get it and that she doesn’t just miss out yet again!

Posted by: T Boy 9th October 2017, 06:07 PM

I don't think there's too much competition so hopefully!

Posted by: troublepink 10th October 2017, 09:07 AM

Really hope she can get that number 1 wub.gif Hopefully she'll do a lot of promo over the next few weeks to help it get there. So exciting, we've waited five years for this! w00t.gif

Posted by: troublepink 11th October 2017, 09:25 AM

2 days to go! cheer.gif

Posted by: Liаm 11th October 2017, 09:27 AM

I'm almost certain she'll get #1, WAU has done so well on sales and is still smashing, album sales are low and she'll surely open with like at least 40-60k I'd have thought *.*

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 11th October 2017, 11:14 AM

Yeah I think Liam’s nailed it - WAU feels massive still and the five year gap has definitely increased hype I feel.

Posted by: troublepink 11th October 2017, 02:53 PM

Barbies lyrics have leaked. Put them in spoiler tags incase anyone is waiting for Friday

Another day, another sin
Another day I'm late again
Oh, just like that my money's spent
Where did it all go?

Another night another heart
Another one leaves in the dark
And I'm searching for my counterpart
Where did it all go?

And I lock every single door
And I look behind me even more
Now I've turned into someone that I swore
I would never be

CHORUS
I wish I could go back to
playing Barbies in my room
They never say that you gotta grow up
quite this soon
How fast things change
And now I'm here and all I wanna do
Is go back to
playing Barbies in my room

I see it on my father's face
Another line that comes with age
I know that time will have its way
Where did it all go?

They say that things were simple then
Although I don't remember when
I wanna know what happens next
Where do we all go?

And I lock every single door
And I look behind me even more
Turned into someone that I swore I would never be

CHORUS

Pink canopies and grass-stained (??? picture is cut off here on the right side, there's one word missing)
Putting fireflies in a jar
Getting home before it's dark
Scotch-taping posters on my wall
Rolling pixie sticks to smoke
Couldn't wait 'till I was older

CHORUS

Back to playing Barbies
I wish that I could go back
I wish that I could go back
I wish that I could go back
Back to playing Barbies in my room

I don't know why but i feel like this will leak tonight thinking.gif

(ps. if it does leak, please nobody post any mp3s or download links on here publicly, I don't want us to get into trouble heehee.gif )

Posted by: troublepink 12th October 2017, 06:07 AM

I'm currently on first listen, Revenge first...actually shocked that I like it laugh.gif Seems to be a bit of a love/hate with most fans though

Posted by: troublepink 12th October 2017, 04:12 PM

Had the album on repeat for most of the day. Definitely better than TTAL in my opinion 💕

OMFG IM LISTENING NOW, SECRETS HAS KILLED ME!!! So good cry.gif

Let's not talk about Revenge

Posted by: ᴄᴀɴɴɪ 12th October 2017, 11:54 PM

Okay overall a good album that is actually better than TTAL but there's a fair amount of filler which was really boring, like But We Lost It, Barbies, Wild Hearts Can Be Broken and You Get My Love can go, I'm just pretending Revenge doesn't exist but that run in the middle slays, Secrets being the 11/10 wub.gif ofc I really like all the songs she put out before too heart.gif

Posted by: troublepink 13th October 2017, 05:36 AM

Happy album release day everyone cheer.gif

Have you guys seen the twitter emoji if you tweet #beautifultrauma 😍😂

Posted by: Sonia Fowler 13th October 2017, 07:22 AM

So I heard the album last night. I was do so hyped for it and I feel a tad disappointed. I thought there would be some fun pink like TTAL had. Felt too downbeat at some points. However it felt more personal which is good I suppose. I love Revenge, Where We Go and For Now.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 13th October 2017, 07:50 AM

The last song is the best tbh

Posted by: Frank! 13th October 2017, 12:14 PM

Sounds quite good on first listen! Some growers, but some instant tracks as well. It feels quite coherent, which is a good thing!

Posted by: Jonjo 13th October 2017, 12:15 PM

Up to 'For Now' and up until this point, it was all "decent" but nothing too impressive. 'For Now' though is stunning! Really liking that one. wub.gif

Posted by: Jordan Lee 13th October 2017, 12:46 PM

On first listen I’m so surprised but pleased at this direction. A more mature sound really suits her but it still feels like P!nk too songs like Revenge and Secrets are like classic P!nk. Her voice sounds fantastic on the ballads on this too.
Really enjoyable album though definitely listening again to see what my favorites are on first listen I enjoyed But We Lost It and I am Here the most smile.gif

Posted by: troublepink 13th October 2017, 01:12 PM

I think this is one of her most personal albums, on the same level as Missundaztood and I'm not dead heart.gif

Posted by: Jo...shh! It's coming 13th October 2017, 01:17 PM

Funhouse is the only P!nk album I've heard before but thought I'd give this a go and I think it's pretty good. Definitely suffering from a bit of a too much filler problem towards the end but it's certainly cohesive and has some lovely standouts too. I think my favourites so far are "Revenge" (it is a bit odd sonically but it's so much fun so I can see myself being pretty obsessed with this soon) and "Secrets". Will definitely be going back to this, I was a bit worried after how quickly I went off "What About Us" but I'm pleasantly surprised biggrin.gif

I really see what you mean! I see it as a more mature I’m Not Dead biggrin.gif

Posted by: Liаm 13th October 2017, 02:05 PM

I find the album a bit samey in places, if we're going to compare to TTAL I definitely prefer that, but the songs that are good are great! What About Us, the title track, I Am Here, Secrets and Where We Go are my highlights.

Posted by: T Boy 13th October 2017, 08:44 PM

Not sure where it ranks yet but I do like it. I’ve had a pretty heavy day so I’ll see how I feel after a few more listens tomorrow.

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 14th October 2017, 07:43 AM

The intro to Whatever You Want reminded me a bit of Just Like Fire!

Beautiful Trauma and Revenge are pleasant (I am starting to see the True Love comparisons). Yet to listen to the rest but What About Us remains fabulous!

Posted by: FreddyVsJupiter 14th October 2017, 09:35 AM

I'm so glad this is so good. This might be her best since I'm Not Dead for me, it's definitely warring with Funhouse even though I don't know all the tracks yet. There was nothing I skipped or disliked on first run-through though which there definitely was on her last two.

I'm a huge Pink fan but I never managed to get into The Truth About Love despite trying hard for several years. It's just a side of Pink's character that's not what I go to her music for on most of the tracks. BT I don't have that problem with at all, everything on it is the artist I know and like a lot.

Posted by: T Boy 14th October 2017, 08:10 PM

This could be my favourite from her since I'm Not Dead. Been listening all day and I'm quite enjoying it,loving the mature feel of the album in general. Can't stop listening to Revenge though. It's weird for a single as it screams 2002 album track at me.

Posted by: Jonjo 16th October 2017, 01:07 PM

I feel like 'For Now' is already the most under appreciated song on the album. 'Revenge' is also great! It's so dated, but it actually feels quite fresh at the same time. It's such a bizarre feeling haha.

Posted by: BiLLYx 16th October 2017, 02:38 PM

I think this album is amazing - its not your typical, in your face 'fk the world' pink album and i'm so grateful for this -!beautiful trauma, barbies , wild hearts, i am here, better life and for now are all 10/10's for me (the latter is sublime esp the 'can we stop/rewind etc yas)

definitely her strongest since i'm not dead.

Posted by: Envoirment 16th October 2017, 06:25 PM

Love the album, first one I've bought in 2017. Took me a few listens to grow on me. "What About Us"/"Beautiful Trauma"/"Whatever You Want"/"Where We Go"/"Secrets"/"For Now" are my favourite tracks. Really like "I Am Here" as well. The rest of the album is nice, she sounds really beautiful on "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken". Least favourite track is "Revenge" - was really disappointing but has been growing on me a little.

Revenge is like one of those songs I know is shit but I shamelessly love it.

Posted by: Regina 17th October 2017, 11:31 PM

I couldn't leave here without coming here to say how much I am loving this album. TTAL was very uptempo and the ballads suffered for me. So having this one so raw and slow and personal makes me love it even more.
Her voice is so beautiful on the songs and it's been on repeat since I bought it and really helped me in my life recently.

Revenge might become one of my all time faves. It being the only really fun and uptempo one makes it stand out I guess and its not as serious as the others so it could be seen as bad I guess but i love it. Eminem especially slays on it, I love hearing him a bit calmer and hearing him sing. Him yelling LUUUUUUUT is iconic and having them rap/sing together makes this feel more like a collaboation compared to their other offerings.

I AM Here and Secrets are also personal highlights, as is Wild Hearts Cant Be Broken. But tbh i love them all.

All in all, Revenge i slay. uck yeah! f*** no!

#1 in the UK!!!! Her second number one album so so happy. 70K sold dance.gif

Posted by: Rob Zombie 21st October 2017, 10:49 PM

almost through my first listen of this and despite most of them being slow, it's an impressively consistent album for me, really enjoying 'But We Lost It' to 'For Now' especially, thought 'Barbies' would be like 'Revenge' or something but found it really lovely same with all of those 4, 'Beautiful Trauma' is gorgeous too, I'm a sucker for orchestral input in songs and it compliments Pink's voice so well too.

Now on 'Better Life' and that's also sounding promising too~

As expected, P!nk claims her second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Beautiful Trauma, which starts atop the list with 2017's largest week for an album by a woman and the fourth-biggest week among all acts. It launches with a larger-than-expected 408,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 19, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 384,000 were in traditional album sales -- the best sales week of the year among all acts.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Nov. 4-dated chart (where Beautiful Trauma debuts at No. 1) will be posted in full on Billboard's websites on Tuesday (Oct. 24).

Beautiful Trauma is the pop singer-songwriter's second No. 1 album, following 2012's The Truth About Love (her last solo studio effort), which started atop the list with 280,000 copies sold (before the chart transitioned to a consumption-ranked list in late 2014). In total, Beautiful is P!nk's seventh top 10 effort.
Get it P!nk!

This has gone right back up to 4 thanks to X Factor and is now the 10th biggest selling album of 2017 so far with 219k sold.

The single entered the top 40 at 29 this week and What About Us climbed to 31. I love how she’s still present in the charts despite now having much of a following on streaming.

Radio 2 played 'Where We Go' on their New Music show in the early hours of this morning so maybe that's where they're going next after 'Beautiful Trauma'?

It’s a decent choice for the next single. It’s just a shame Beautiful Trauma won’t be getting much further pushing.

They were playing this in HMV the other week to so you could be right! I like it but I'd much prefer something like Secrets or For Now before that

Secrets should definitely be a single and some point.

BT has just had a remix EP so maybe they are testing the waters or playing various songs to promote the album.

Revenge was my favourite AT on release, but I much prefer Pinks feature on Eminem’s album and so Secrets has passed Revenge as my second favourite (after BT) wub.gif

Secrets for single 3 hopefully.

Album sales wise a ballad like Wild Hearts would be great although I think it’s more for winter time.

For Now has really grown on me lately as has Whatever You Want.

Been bashing Pink a lot this week inpaticular this album and Misundazstood.

Shame it looks like no more singles from the album but we still have the tour in the UK to push sales further.

Secrets is still fantastic and What About Us her best ever lead single for me.

Re enters the albums chart at #60 this week following BRITS.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 5th July 2019, 05:03 PM

#81 this week down from last week but expected that with it being Glastonbury.

Really hope it hangs on to manage a year too 100 it’s on almost 50 weeks now.

The album was released 2 years ago today.

Let’s have a streaming party tonight to celebrate x

Can't believe its been out two years! It still feels new to me, still one of my favourite P!nk albums too wub.gif

It does not feel 2 years, but, it is also strange to have had another album so quickly.

I can’t believe it’s almost 3 years now since this full album was released!

I was sorting out all my CD collection now and come across this album. I must listen again in full as it’s been a while since I did so.

I remember it slaying the charts back in Q4 2017 as well! Has it outsold Try This and her debut?

Posted by: troublepink 21st August 2020, 02:28 PM

Not sure about sales (I never really follow charts/sales) but the last three years has flown by! Especially the last 12 months. And thank god the BT tour was 2018/2019, and not this year laugh.gif

Posted by: T Boy 21st August 2020, 05:00 PM

It has definitely outsold CTMH. It wasn’t far behind Try This the last time I saw an update but that was 18 months ago and it hasn’t charted at all since then.

Posted by: LJ JORD 7 21st August 2020, 05:33 PM

I know all 3 of them are kinda close in sales like between the 500-600K mark laugh.gif

We will probably get an update at some point over the next year or so. The OCC sometimes do random lists of biggest sellers on stuff like artists birthdays and it’s P!nks in around two weeks so we could get one then!
