 It was a tight race in the deadlock round but 'Messiah' leaves after 6 votes against 5 for 'Iconic'. 'Messiah' has been one I've not really got behind yet; certainly not a bad track but just not had that connection I usually do with Madonna ballads. Round 8 (12th): Messiah (6 votes, joint with 'Iconic'; lost deadlock with 6 votes) Round 7 (13th): Veni Vedi Vici (4 votes) Round 6 (14th): Bitch I'm Madonna (4 votes) Round 5 (15th): Unapologetic Bitch (4 votes) Round 4 (16th): Queen (4 votes) Round 3 (17th): Holy Water (5 votes) Round 2 (18-22th): Illuminati, Best Night, Beautiful Scars, Borrowed Time, Graffiti Heart (6 votes) Round 2 (23rd): Body Shop (8 votes) Round 2 (24th): S.E.X (14 votes) Round 1 (25th): Auto-Tune Baby (9 votes) |

'Hold Tight' is clearly not budging yet so I'll join the vigilante mob for 'Iconic' which will no doubt be punished for getting rid of 'Messiah'.

It would have been my next choice after 'Hold Tight', if not 'Veni Vedi Vici'. As I mentioned previously, both are great tracks and I like how hip-hop tracks have been Madonna-ised, but the ballads and guitar tracks are where this album excels for me.

Glad to see more people voting for it. From these votes it seems that Madonna's Buzzjack fans aren't liking R&B-influenced Madonna songs. I find the songs with this style of music are the more creative songs on Rebel Heart. |
