What a poor period for indie/rock acts. Snow Patrol, The Verve and Biffy Clyro are usually capable of so much more than the utter crap they spat out here.

Results time! w00t.gif

45.Kid Rock - All Summer Long (3.56)
((9), Riser), ((-1), Aled, Luciano, fgi090505)

44. Sugababes - Girls (4.26)
((10), ultraviolence), ((-1), gooddelta, mr aly)

43. Taio Cruz - She's Like A Star (4.90)
((10), jsliv), ((2), Rob S, Luciano)

42. Boyzone - Love You Anyway (4.95)
((10), gooddelta), ((0), darkstar79)

41. Geraldine McQueen - The Winners Song (4.97)
((10), jsliv), ((-1), Jade, Dobbo)

Getting the wooden spoon here is Kid Rock, who dared to sample the classic 'Sweet Home Alabama'. It scored him a Number 1 hit in the summer of 2008, but hasn't become a Buzzjack favourite.

It's surprising the Sugababes are so low on a Now Rate on Buzzjack, but the girls failed to cut the mustard with their version 'Here Comes The Girls', which was originally a track by Ernie K Doe.

Taio Cruz is at 43 with his first Now appearance for his Top 20 hit 'Like A Star'

Boyzone made a comeback in 2008 with a new album and a Top 10 single 'Love You Anyway'. This is their last appearance to date in the Now series.

Peter Kay's creation Geraldine McQueen just misses out on the Top 40 with 'The Winners Song'. The track reached Number 2 in 2008.

40. McFly - Lies (5.0)
((8), mr aly, Luciano), ((0), Dobbo, darkstar79)

39. Platinum - Love Shy (Thinking About You) (5.0) - Had a 10.
((10), ultraviolence, Dobbo), ((0), Jester)

38. Basshunter - Angel In The Night (5.06)
((10), Dobbo), ((-1), T Boy)

37. Gym Class Heroes feat. The Dream - Cookie Jar (5.29)
((9), T Boy, fgi090505), ((-1), ultraviolence)

36. Razorlight - Wire To Wire (5.42)
((9), Gavin, Nick F1), ((0), fgi090505)

By 2008, McFly's random Number 1 streak was over, but they were still having Top 10 hits, and 'Lies' was one of them.

Following up the Number 2 smash 'What's It Gonna Be' with H Two O, Platiunum returned to the charts with 'Love Shy (Thinking About You).

Basshunter had a good 2008 with a Number 1 with 'Now Your Gone', a Top 10 hit with 'All I Ever Wanted' and another Top 40 hit with 'Angel IN The Night'.

Gym Class Heroes scored another Top 10 hit in 2008 with 'Cookie Jar' and Razorlight returned with 'Wire To Wire'.

35. Kaiser Chiefs - Never Miss A Beat (5.73)
((10), ultraviolence, Luciano), ((0), Rob S)

34. Steve Mac - Paddy's Revenge (5.78)
((10), Chez Wombat), ((1), Rob S)

33. Flobots - Handlebars (5.80)
((11), FM11), ((0), Jester)

32. Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up (5.84)
((11), Davidson), ((-1), Gavin)

31. Chris Brown - Forever (6.13)
((10), fgi090505, Liam), ((0), Chez Wombat, ultraviolence, Jester)

In 2008 Leeds band Kaiser Chiefs released their third studio album and gained another Top 5 single with 'Never Miss A Beat'.

Steve Mac sampled 'Music For A Found Harmonium' for his Top 20 smash 'Paddy's Revenge'.

I'd love to see the Flobots ride their bikes with no handlebars, but they claimed they could do just that with their Top 20 hit 'Handlebars'.

Pussycat Dolls returned in the summer of 2008 with 'When I Grown Up', and Chris Brown had a smash with what's possibly his best single ever.

30. Ida Marie - I Like You So Much Better When Your Naked (6.14)
((11), darkstar79), ((0), Rob S, Ultraviolence)

29. Will Young - Changes (6.36)
((9), Dobbo, Jester), ((0), darkstar79)

28. Ne-Yo - Miss Independent (6.52)
((11), Nick F1), ((-1), Chez Wombat, Liam)

27. Snow Patrol - Take Back The City (6.54)
((10), T Boy), ((3), Dobbo, mr aly, fgi090505)

26. Madcon - Beggin' (6.60)
((10), Acidburn, Davidson, Riser), ((0), fgi090505)

Kicking off the Top 30 it's a one hit wonder from Ida Marie.

Will Young cameback with his Greatest Hits album and a new single 'Changes' in 2008, which was another Top 40 smash hit for the Pop Idol winner.

Ne-Yo continued putting out the hits with 'Miss Independent' following up his Number 1 smash 'Closer'.

Snow Patrol returned in 2008 with another Top 10 single 'Take Back The City', which was the first single to be taken from their album 'A Hundred Million Suns'.

Madcon had a big hit with 'Beggin', which was originally a hit in 1967 for The Four Seasons.

25. The Script - The Man Who Can't Be Moved (6.65)
((11), Chapman), ((0), jsliv, mr aly, darkstar79)

24. Sash! feat. Stunt - Raindrops (Encore Un Fois) (6.70)
((10), Gavin, Nick F1, Jade), ((0), darkstar79)

23. James Morrison - You Make It Real (6.80)

22. Little Jackie - The World Should Revolve Around Me (6.85)
((10), Jade, T Boy, darkstar79), ((0), Jester, fgi090505)

21. The Verve - Love Is Noise (6.88)
((11), Rob S), ((2), mr aly)

Into the Top 25 with a track I was hoping would do a little better from The Script. 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved' was the Irish bands first Top 10 single and has re-entered the Top 40 on a number of occasions due to it being used on various TV programmes and talent shows.

Sash! returned to the Top 10 in 2008 with a new version of his 1997 smash hit 'Encore Un Fois', which is mashed up Stunts Number 51 hit 'Raindorops'.

James Morrison returned with his second album in 2008 and a Top 10 smash with 'You Make It Real'.

Little Jackie scored a Top 20 hit with the quirky pop record 'The World Should Revolve Around Me'.

The Verve reformed in 2008 and released a new album and had a Top 10 single with 'Love Is Noise' over 10 years since their last hit 'Lucky Man' from 1997.

20. Duffy - Stepping Stone (6.97)
((10), Rob S, Ultraviolence, Davidson, T Boy, darkstar79), ((0), Dobbo, fgi090505)

19. Eric Prydz - Pjanoo (7.02)
((10), Gavin, gooddelta, Chez Wombat, Ultraviolence), ((1), darkstar79)

18. Keane - Spiralling (7.06)
((10), Luciano, T Boy, Jester), ((0), Rob S, darkstar79)

17. Jordin Sparks - Tattoo (7.15)
((10), Liam, Ultraviolence, T Boy, Riser), ((2), Luciano)

16. The Ting Tings - Shut Up and Let Me Go (7.16)
((10), ultraviolence), ((0), Davidson)

Duffy's third single from her debut album 'Rockerferry' was the haunting 'Stepping Stone'.

Eric Prydz has random hits every now and then. Pjanoo peaked at Number 2 in Summer 2008 and was the third big hit for him following on from 'Call On Me' and 'Proper Education'.

Keane released their third studio album and it came with another hit for the guys with 'Spiralling'.

Jordin Sparks re-issued 'Tattoo' after the success of 'No Air' earlier in the year.

'Shut Up and Let Me Go' was the follow up to the Ting Tings Number 1 smash 'That's Not My Name', peaking at Number 6.

((10), jsliv, Dobbo, darkstar79), ((0), fgi090505)

14. Christian Falk feat. Robyn - Dream On (7.22)
((10), Gavin, Davidson, darkstar79), ((1), Dobbo)

12. Iglu & Hartly - In This City (7.33)

11. Biffy Clyro - Mountains (7.40)
((10), Gavin, Nick F1, Ultraviolence, Luciano), ((3), darkstar79)

An incredibly catchy tune from Noah and The Whale here with '5 Years Time', which peaked at Number 7 in the UK charts.

Christian Falk teamed up with Robyn for the fab 'Dream On'. The track did underperform by not reaching the To 20, but did make it onto Now 71.

Alphabeat scored their third Top 20 single in 2008 with the very cheesy 'Boyfriend' following up '10 Thousand Nights' and 'Fascination'.

At 12 we have a track that seems to be forgotten, but has done pretty well here. Iglu and Hartly went Top 5 with 'In This City'.

Biffy Clyro just miss out on the Top 10, but in the official charts 'Mountains' was their first To 10 single and later featured on the album 'Only Revelations'.
