BJSC 162 - Ciaran Lavery
Herbilore's debut entry was from emotive singer/songwriter Ciaran Lavery. The song 'Selene' was released as a standalone single. It didn't qualify but did get a couple of big points in the Semi Final. The Vaccines have always been known to Herbilore, but 'Hometown of Jupiter' was something new and exciting from them & as such was chosen for the 163rd contest. And it was our first song to qualify for the BJSC Final! I wasn’t in Herbilore’s semi final last time around, so I didn’t get a chance to support them, but this entry is marvellous and compelling. I might add it has grown on me even more since I heard it in the semi final! Truly delighted at your first qualification!

For our 5th contest, Herbilore are sending the band Celestial Skies, with their queer anthem 'Forget Me Not'. Lead singer Chris is a friend of a friend of the president of Herbilore. He's also a freelance writer for Gay Times and an occasional member of the London Gay Man's Choir! Hopefully we'll pick up some points and qualify this time! BJSC 167 - HUSK
For our 6th contest, Herbilore are sending the trans acceptance anthem 'Born Again' by HUSK. HUSK is another friend of the president, bringing entrancing gaelic electrofolk into the competition. Final Position: 28th in Semi Final 1 Points scored: 20 Interesting this one. When I first heard all the songs in SF1 I expected to not qualify (there was definitely a theme and I expected other countries to vote on that theme). We then got some nice comments and a few predictions to qualify.
