It was released on 30 June 2013 as the third single from the album. It was written by Priscilla Renea, Lukas Nathanson and Scott Effman, with production by Ambience.[The song hears the five-piece claim that finding a gentleman is difficult in modern society as compared to the 1990s.
The Saturdays promoted the single around the UK and appeared on a number of different chat shows including Daybreak and Lorraine. They also appeared on Steve Wright's BBC Radio 2 show with Patrick Kielty on Thursday 27 June to promote the single. Other appearances include BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend on 25 May and at Capital FM's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on 9 June and This Morning on 28 June 2013. |

BUZZJACK RECEPTION
http://www.elremix.com/2013/05/escucha-al-...-saturdays.html Leaked. Can't get over how dull it is. Just doesn't go anywhere. Very flat production and bored vocals. Zzz. What on earth are those verses!? And does it even have a chorus? O_o Barely even album track worthy. NEXT. Not impressed on first listen, hopefully it'll be a grower. Oh no, it's ok but very boring. I just hope it grows on me like 'All Fired Up' did, but at the moment they've gone from their best ever single with 'What About Us' to their worst in my opinion. I actually like it. I don't love it, yet, but it's just one big, hot mess that I can't help but like! Not as good as I was expecting but I still like it and it's a nice change from them. This is horrendous. As I said three steps forwards and four steps back. Two pointers: 1) I absolutely LOVE this. It's very different sounding to what they've done before but they've pulled it off. And I especially love Mollie's line about milking the cow (inspired/bitchy in the whole could be about a homewrecker type thing/brilliant/just love it generally). 2) Something tells me that if Girls Aloud had come out with a single like this back in 'Chemistry' or even 'Tangled Up' era it'd be 'WOW, they're breaking boundaries again etc'. Because it's The Saturdays for some people it's 'Oh they've shot themselves in the foot again'. And yet it's the very same people who said 'What About Us' was too generic and didn't take risks. Make your minds up for Christ's sake. This is fab TBH. More instant than All Fired Up was for me, that got a lot of hate on here when it was premiered but it's loved by most now! At first I was like what the f*** is this?! But its really grown on me, I like how different it is and the lyrics are hilarious/amazing. Not gonna be as big as WAU but it will still be a decent Top 10 for them I think. |

I don't hate it as much as I used to. Pretty bad, but tolerable. Still quite like the video though

They funny thing is that on any other week 29,000 would have been enough to peak top 10, typical Saturdays to release during a busy week! I remember 'Gentleman' spent an epic five minutes in the top 10 on iTunes before Gabz knocked them out.
I'm guessing if they bothered to do one or two more live performances it would have went top 10, I remember it being incredibly close. This post has been edited by LeeWallace: 15th March 2016, 02:53 AM |

I will never forget their This Morning performance of this. Yes I know Rochelle had just popped out her child, but why is she wearing her Adidas? Gurl no! |

Well, it's not groundbreaking, but I still rate it above most of their This Morning/Daybreak performances... |

I'll always be surprised how good their performances were. If anybody would like to create a 'Disco Love' topic with the same formula as these then please do! |

Probably the only case where the b-side should've been released over the a-side.
