Hello and welcome to a new movie feature This is Sequel Saturday (I am aware this is Sunday ), every Saturday a sequel will be put against its predecessor and we will see who comes out victorious! The film will usually be a sequel released in the last month or so! But at the end of every month, a flashback poll will be chosen by YOU for the end of the month! That thread will be going up soon!
Our second poll is for the Captain America franchise; All three movies have received great reviews and we have seen more and more classic Marvel characters introduced in the sequels, ranging from Black Widow's Cap 2 appearance and basically Avengers 2.5 for Civil War. But what is your favourite? Please vote and comment! Hope this goes down well and please comment feedback! PREVIOUS RESULTS: Alice In Wonderland 6-0 Alice Through The Looking Glass UPCOMING EDITIONS: JUNE X-Men First Class v DOFP v Apocalypse TMNT v TMNT2 (v maybe the older ones) Neighbors v Neighbors 2 YOUR CHOICE JULY Conjuring v Conjuring 2 Independence Day v Independence Day 2 Now You See Me v Now You See Me 2 Ice Age v 2 v 3 v 4 v 5 |

Second one by far. Not seen Civil War yet obv, but Winter Solider is right up there as one of my all time faves and I dunno if it can be beaten. I've seen a few spoilers
of CW and some of it kinda annoyed me |

My favourite Marvel franchise <3
Captain America: The First Avenger is a brilliant origin movie. It falls a bit flat in places, but neither off puttingly so or too much. The cast have great chemistry from the get go and so it's brilliant to see majority of them come back for the sequels. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is one of the very best films, not only from Marvel studios but in the last decade at least. It's got all the heart, charm and warmth of superhero movie, but has the story and darkness of a very fascinating and interesting drama, thriller! The fight scenes are some of my favourite fight scenes of all time. So smoothly choreographed and epically put together. This was also the movie that made me realise that Captain America is indeed, the best Avenger MY VOTE Captain America: Civil War is absolutely brilliant and such an enjoyable, thrilling and exciting ride from start to finish. How they managed to have so many different characters and give them the right amount of screen time each, and realising it's still a Captain America movie from the heart, it's just astonishing. My fave film of the year so far <3 LOOOOOOOVE all three though |

Bitch get your hipster ass outta here. I'm talking solely the movie universe! I have little to no idea about the comics and thankfully so! Don't wanna be a neg nancy and compare all the time It's a shame that people easily dismiss the comics tbh, the movies ar eliterally a tiny part of a much larger universe and almost every single character has so many mor einteresting story arcs and histories that will likely never be known to the wider public. And then there's the whole thing about certain characters not being includd in the MCU or being brutally ruined by either bad actors or bad script writers. SO SORRY to be a neg nancy |

Haha. I get WHY people would think those things, but it's the reason why I stay away from them (and I'm glad never to have read too much info on certain things etc... ) I'd just find myself comparing all the time and it'd bug me. I enjoy them for what they are, really.

Well people, like me, who follow the comics and have become huge fans of them only want the movie adaptations to be good, comparing them is natural and I just think people are missing out by dismissing the source material as it is amost always better than the movie versions, so much has to be cut out.
I've been to superhero movies having not known about them before and every single time have gone home to research the comics. I like knowing about the origins and seeing how someone can go from pictures and words on a page to an actual movie. |

Civil War for me, I know it's only just come out, but it is freeking awesome and even better than the 2nd Avengers movie. Also 'Winter Soldier' is amazing also, these just keep on getting better and better.

The Winter Solider For me. The first 20/30 minutes I always find oddly boring, but as soon as Nick Fury is under attack, it becomes amazing. The only MCU film that's more than just a comic book film but is also a brilliant action and crime thriller.
Black Widow and Cap are such a fantastic team, the highway scene is absolutely unbeatable and one of the most exciting action sequences ever! |

Cap 3 for sure! Winter Solider was very well polished and enjoyable but Civil War just had more characters, more emotion and therefore more fun. My favourite Marvel film to date and so many standout moments for me so I can't not pick it. I've never been much of a fan of the First Avenger, found it boring and way too slow to get going, probably down at the bottom of Marvel's pile for me along with The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man.
