M.O for top 40 singles please!!!!
Pete Tong Album to be the biggest competition to The La La Land Soundtrack for the top spot!
Album no1 sales could be pretty terrible this week!
C'mon Touch go back to top 5
Yeh which is awful!
Can't see Frank Carter or Loyle Carner doing much - Elbow and Rag n Bone Man should reach 25k in a couple of weeks again. Interested to see the fall for the XX?!
just realised Mint Royale doesn't seem to post about the mids anymore, looks like even Minty has lost his interest in the charts
he's posting about Trump instead but last 2 weeks he hasn't posted about the mids
it's probably because not much of interest is happening. He posted about Ed didn't he in his first week?
Assuming that's Text From Your Ex and Be The One?
I do have a soft spot for that "City Of Stars" song from the La La Land movie, such a sweet song. Would love to see that go top 40 this week.
from MR
haha probably he read in here that we were complaining about him not posting and he decided to make a post ;D
In fairness there may only be 2 new entries but that doesn't highlight songs rising up the chart!
I'd be pleased for Pete Tong or the La La Land OST to get #1 album for the first time, both are so good/inspired <3
And in fairness we don't know how close the top 2 albums are, I know Minty is saying Pete Tong's sales are looking good, but looking good could mean anything.
There is definitely some singles climbing back up inside the top 40 singles chart, I should imagine 2 or 3, as I'm looking at the current chart, where some acts could just fall away.
We could also have the British contenders to the Eurovision Song Contest floating about, but at the moment I can't see them doing anything this week. for the latest contenders visit the Eurovision forum, all 6 tracks have been revealed.
http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=194405&pid=5605560&st=200&#entry5605560
They won't be commercially released going by last year so there's no fear of them troubling the charts (not that there would have been even if they were!)
La La Land are actually #3, and it's not Little Mix sandwiched in at #2.
Sir Pete Tong getting a #1 album would be amazing, c'mon make it happen british public
Yes at Pete Tong! This i feel is his last week at an attempt to get the #1
Good to see Pete heading to NO1 - prob only sell around 15-20k max though.
Ed released a video for coth but doubt it be help pass SOY
Ed's just released the video x Castle on the Hill, so at least he's trying to help the swap
I would like to see the other Ed song making it purely just to get another #1!

40 Little Mix - Get Weird ^
Click on the above relevant links.
Expecting City Of Stars to quite comfortably be top 40 by the end of the week!
Justin Timberlake back in... again
Anyhow... those album sales are poor
Little Mix should safely return to the top 3 albums by the time the chart is announced, wonderful to see Get Weird also back in the top 40.
Ed Sheeran for a 3rd consecutive week has great sales for both tracks.
Hope Tinie can stay Top 40 but I'm doubting it
Position for 'The Wonder Of You' please.
Thanks.
Brian
Happy to see Touch back in the top 5!
Joanne seems to be able to reach for top 50-ish again this week. It has now officially spent longer in top 75 than ARTPOP. Amazing!
Disappointing to see The xx falling as far as #7 in the mids, this album really feels like it should be doing much better especially as 'On Hold' has grown into pretty much their biggest single to date. Hope it can hold up a bit better in the long run.
Pete Tong hitting #1 is so random but gwan I guess Nice to see Mike Oldfield up there (and Run The Jewels in the top 40! need to check out their new stuff)
Nice to see Ellie staying top 100 for a little while longer
Ladies and gentlemen George Michael position?
Pete Tong further ahead on sales than I expected - I thought it was going to be much closer, hope he can hold on.
And at M.O sneaking in at #40.
I don't get why he dropped on Spotify like a led balloon
M.O. better stay in the top 40! We need another great girl group around
but actually he didn't drop much and he's recovered again, he's done 52-80-ish, 80-ish, 68 on Spotify plus he's #15 on iTunes
so I think he could hold on
hasn't done bad on Spotify, there debut high cos of the New Music Friday playlist and are gone the next day (i.e. John Mayer)

So we're potentially looking at one new entry this week
Touch should get back up to number 4 this week then.
Just the 14 Oscar Nominations for La La Land then, should give the soundtrack another boost - number 2 looks guaranteed this week but hopefully it can continue its upward trajectory next week!
Battle for number 1 and number 3 in the album chart. Think little mix could catch mike oldfield
SOY heading for similar sales to last week then?!
Any sign of M.O anywhere close to the top 40?
LLL is closing in a good rate, hoping the Oscar buzz will do some wonders and great streams also should be added.. It's gonna be close. Rooting for this masterpiece anyway!
The Oscar nomination with have a big effect imo!
It has climbed from #21 to #17 on iTunes today so here's hoping.
Where's Noah in the mids? (If she's even there!)
I have every confidence in Little Mix to improve on today's positions. Touch, should take the number 4 position in the singles and number 3 in the albums. Get Weird will end the week no lower than its existing position.
Rick Astley continues to amaze me with this album, wonderful chart run and should easily reach platinum in the coming months. If he has a slight piece of promo lined up the album will climb. I never in a million years thought he would have a number 1 album that would go platinum and have such a great chart run.
I really want M.O top 40 ..... it can't become a forgotten gem
Where's City of Stars today please? 😋
Since when do soundtracks appear in the official chart? I thought they didn't count
Sorry for being a pain but where is Bad Things? Thanks
Really don't understand how City Of Stars is so low - it's nearly top 20 combined on iTunes and top 50 combined on Spotify, it seems only logical it's top 50 in the Official Charts
Tinie and Dua Lipa are both doing poorly on spottily but both are top 30 on Apple Streaming, that should count for something!
I wonder if Apple Music streams equate for more chart sales than we assume, I've always thought they're worth about 15% of all streams - maybe they're worth more?
But didn't the Nathan/Ariana collab go towards the original solo?
Where's Nathan Sykes in the mids?
they should count together, it's like The Greatest, the Sia vs. the Sia ft Kendrick versions were combined
It's weird. Really needs to be combined.
But then Lay Me Down by Sam Smith and Lay Me Down by Sam Smith ft. John Legend were counted separately. I don't get it
(especially a mess considering it's missing out on being top 30 this week because of it!)
Pete Tong's Album currently unavailable on CD on Amazon now (and behind LLL on iTunes), looking good for La La Land now.
Sainsbury's have Pete Tong's album on sale and only for £5 too

So glad M.O have climbed back into the top 40 after falling out yesterday and I hope they stay in the top 40 by Friday
Pete Tong seems safe at #1, the 3k gap has been rather consistently all week.
So its La La Land or Tinie for the #1 album next week, going with the former.
Really hope M.O can stay in the Top 40!
New peak on the way for Touch by Little Mix.
Yaas. Looks like M.O. will have a second top 40 hit on Friday
Is Louisa still hanging on?
Yes at Dua coming for that double Top 20 entries
Pleased to see M.O scraping back in at #39 and Pete Tong looking safe for the #1 album
I don't think it was ever going to #1 regardless tbh
LLL Losing again :|
^^ The Tinie album when finally released will be a 4-26-53-72-89 kinda smash.
Has On Hold been pushed out of the top 40?
Also hope that Mike Oldfield keeps LM at bay and stays at no3 in the albums!
Major Lazer and Zara Larsson both have new songs out tomorrow so I hope one of them can knock Ed Sheeran off the top. If "Run Up" can manage the same amount or more first week sales than "Cold Water", then Major Lazer will have a chance of knocking Ed Sheeran off the top
I can't see Zara going anything higher than #15 (officially this week), I actually think Garrix will peak higher than Major Lazer this week.
Guessing
Major Lazer 27
Martin Garrix 35
Zara 40
"Run Up" is out already - don't think it'll be challenging for #1 next week like people thought. Not saying it's bad, but fingers crossed Garrix & Dua Lipa can deliver an absolute smash!
