Its been so long cry.gif

Posted by: HausofF 26th September 2019, 03:35 PM

Can't wait!

Animal was fun, despite its filler moments, but Warrior is her masterpiece. Rainbow was lovely, so i'm so excited for what is to follow now wub.gif

YAY!

Posted by: Jαsє 26th September 2019, 10:44 PM

Billboard have confirmed that her new album will drop in December biggrin.gif

Posted by: Jack 26th September 2019, 10:47 PM

Come on Kesha, save pop music!

Posted by: Jαsє 26th September 2019, 11:13 PM

Omg she's coming hard this era! wub.gif

Posted by: HausofF 27th September 2019, 05:57 AM

A December release will probably mean it's dwarfed by everything else to come in Q4 but idc BRING IT KWEEN.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 7th October 2019, 12:36 PM

Yeah a December release UK wise means it’s likely to do similarly to her second album Warrior in terms of its peak.

She could’ve had a top ten album had it come in the summer. But it’s good to get new music regardless.

Wishing her all the success and it is wonderful to be getting some new material.

Posted by: LMLou 8th October 2019, 09:56 PM

I sadly don’t think her new music will be commercially successful at all, but I’m sure that really doesn’t matter to her and what matters more is the fact she’s getting to actually release music at all and the kinda music she wants to on top of that

Teasers have begun.

Posted by: Jack 21st October 2019, 05:45 PM

That trailer was everything!!! I'm so f***ing excited for this, moreso than I thought I would be 😭

Posted by: Klumpkin 21st October 2019, 05:57 PM

hyped! that trailer did exactly what it needed to do! I'm glad we've got some of the party Kesha back, I loved that Kesha came back and released some good new music (Praying in particular omg heart.gif) but the album quality was a major step down from what we're used to! The clips in that video all sounded pretty good and put together!!

Posted by: HauntedHaus 21st October 2019, 06:52 PM

Omggggggg

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 22nd October 2019, 09:00 AM

I've loved pretty much everything she's given us so far, can't wait! wub.gif

Posted by: Juliano 22nd October 2019, 12:42 PM

That trailer is EVERYTHING and MORE!! Can't wait for music.

Posted by: Michael Myers 22nd October 2019, 12:51 PM

Wow!!

Posted by: HausofKubrick 31st January 2020, 05:17 PM

Anyone listening? It's out now!

Posted by: Juliano 31st January 2020, 06:10 PM

Birthday Suit and Kinky giving me Animal vibes.

Posted by: tommie 31st January 2020, 09:35 PM

There's literally no hype for this - a shame. I guess a lot of people will feel this is a step backwards after Praying.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 31st January 2020, 11:00 PM

I'm a big fan, but I have to say my excitement in the run up to the release of this has been non-existent. laugh.gif

I'm still gonna get the album though!

Posted by: Jordan Lee 31st January 2020, 11:03 PM

If I didn’t check this forum I’d literally not even be aware she had new material out.

It's a decent album but definitely her weakest for me. A lot of the ballads feel like filler and some of the upbeat ones seem like they are trying too hard but don't match the heights of 2009-2012 Kesha. Kinky, Tonight, Birthday Suit and Summer are my initial faves

This is my exact response too! Easily her weakest album (her other projects are largely flawless). This has a fair bit of filler. The highs are nice and there is a bit of goodness throughout but Rainbow album started playing after I listened to this and the quality difference jumped out.

I'll give it a bit more time and I'm sure a few more tracks will grow on me!

Posted by: LMLou 3rd February 2020, 04:11 PM

The Potato song is Kinda infectious, I know its really bad but I keep wanting to go back to it

Posted by: HausofKubrick 6th February 2020, 07:09 PM

Given the album a bit of time now.

Tonight, Raising Hell, Cowboy Blues, Resentment, Father Daughter Dance and ESPECIALLY Chasing Thunder are the ones that I would return to most. The others may grow or are just filler.

Chasing Thunder is the sort of music I love from recent Kesha - self-reflective, wild and free. I'm not a rose, I'm a wild flower is my favourite lyric of the album!

#63 debut in the UK

Posted by: LMLou 7th February 2020, 08:18 PM

I wasn’t expecting anything close to Rainbow levels of success but not even top 50 for a January release? That’s very disappointing

Posted by: JosephStyles 7th February 2020, 08:52 PM

sad.gif it's definitely not her best album but I really wasn't expecting it to chart even lower than Warrior mellow.gif

Posted by: The S***e 7th February 2020, 09:16 PM

You take the HIGH ROAD and I'll take the low. And I'll be in Buzzjack afore ye.

Posted by: HausofKubrick 13th February 2020, 10:14 PM

Charted at #7 in the US. Will probably freefall, but at least it got top 10 👍

Posted by: Jordan Lee 13th February 2020, 10:47 PM

I’m happy she was able to release music and make this album as I know it would’ve been a big deal but I just wasn’t really sold on anything on it sad.gif

Tour dates announced in Manchester and Birmingham for July!

Posted by: HausofKubrick 14th February 2020, 05:11 PM

Omg I have to go!

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 16th April 2020, 01:32 PM

I finally gave this a listen, I thought for the first 5 tracks "this isn't such a bad album actually", but then it went rapidly downhill. laugh.gif There's some awfully cringeworthy stuff on here -Honey, Cowboy Blues and the Potato song in particular.

Those two tracks that Bal singled out ('Father Daughter Dance' and 'Chasing Thunder') almost stand head and shoulders above the rest here. I dunno, there are also way too many annoying "Americanisms" in the lyrics too.

Slay much? Love this cover!

Posted by: Among Haus 2nd February 2021, 08:41 PM

A year on since the album's release. Listened to it this evening and it's good in parts, skippable in others and GREAT in a few moments. 'Chasing Thunder' is a major highlight/the album's best still, an absolute anthem.

Posted by: dannjohn 3rd February 2021, 10:35 AM

songs like 'cowboy blues', 'shadow', 'bff' and 'kinky' (bar that intro) are highs.

Posted by: Scene 3rd February 2021, 04:23 PM

Oops I didn't even know until now that she released a fourth album. unsure.gif I was wondering just the other day how long it had been since 'Praying' and how new music must be on the way soon. tearsmile.gif

Her career has been so up and down, and ironically it’s her two best albums (Warrior and High Road) that have been her biggest under-performances.
