There's literally no hype for this - a shame. I guess a lot of people will feel this is a step backwards after Praying.

I'm a big fan, but I have to say my excitement in the run up to the release of this has been non-existent.
I'm still gonna get the album though! |

If I didn’t check this forum I’d literally not even be aware she had new material out.

It's a decent album but definitely her weakest for me. A lot of the ballads feel like filler and some of the upbeat ones seem like they are trying too hard but don't match the heights of 2009-2012 Kesha. Kinky, Tonight, Birthday Suit and Summer are my initial faves

The highs are nice and there is a bit of goodness throughout but Rainbow album started playing after I listened to this and the quality difference jumped out. I'll give it a bit more time and I'm sure a few more tracks will grow on me! |

Given the album a bit of time now.
Tonight, Raising Hell, Cowboy Blues, Resentment, Father Daughter Dance and ESPECIALLY Chasing Thunder are the ones that I would return to most. The others may grow or are just filler. Chasing Thunder is the sort of music I love from recent Kesha - self-reflective, wild and free. I'm not a rose, I'm a wild flower is my favourite lyric of the album! |

I wasn’t expecting anything close to Rainbow levels of success but not even top 50 for a January release? That’s very disappointing

it's definitely not her best album but I really wasn't expecting it to chart even lower than Warrior

I’m happy she was able to release music and make this album as I know it would’ve been a big deal but I just wasn’t really sold on anything on it

I finally gave this a listen, I thought for the first 5 tracks "this isn't such a bad album actually", but then it went rapidly downhill. There's some awfully cringeworthy stuff on here -Honey, Cowboy Blues and the Potato song in particular.
Those two tracks that Bal singled out ('Father Daughter Dance' and 'Chasing Thunder') almost stand head and shoulders above the rest here. I dunno, there are also way too many annoying "Americanisms" in the lyrics too. |
