Don’t know if this is true or just a joke but apparently Kylie is appearing on Ed Sheeran’s new album? Not really something I’m particularly excited for but wow yet another big name Kylie has managed to collab with!
I think she's just doing backing vocals on one song, from what I've seen.
Is love them to duet as I really like ed but any association is good for me.
From the Mirror:
Shes 99% bound to have another top 10 hit!!! Maybe even a number 1! (if credited)
I'm looking forward to hearing it and hopefully it will be at least a top 10 hit.
If it makes the selection for a single it could return Kylie to the upper reaches of the chart if she is credited.
Id love it to be a hit and kylie been officially credited on it, fingers crossed it happens but i wont get my hopes up.
I can just picture Kylie’s Top 3 biggest songs being ‘Head’, ‘Santa Baby’ and ‘Visiting Hours’ in a few years!
I'll be incredibly surprised if she's a feature/credited feature, but like one of our residents would say - let's see
Ed has already confirmed himself, I saw a clip on an Australian news show earlier today.
Either way I'm looking forward to hearing it, i wonder will be an upbeat track like bad habits.
The track is already out there to hear as Ed performed it at Michael Gudinski‘s memorial earlier this year:
The production might change with the kylie version.
This could open Kylie to a new audience. When I was growing up there were artists I knew by name but I didn't know their songs because their biggest hits were before my time. I think there are many younger Ed fans who never really listened to Kylie songs, maybe they are going to get curious about her because of the duet.
I'd love that to happen and sometimes it does work, where the wild roses grow did it really well.
I would welcome it to be the follow up to his current chart topper Bad Habits.
Manifesting the idea of Kylie getting her 8th #1 18 years after the last.
Imagine if that happened, it would be something else, i think a Top 10 though would also be amazing but she may not even get credited or it may never be a single. If it is a single and she does get a credit i will be greedy and say please do a cd single.
If Kylie gets a credit on the track, and IF it secures single status it will be Kylie's best chance at ever getting another Number 1.
I really don’t see why she would be classed as a feature, she is only doing backing vocals. We will probably even notice that much.
Kylie could have a more prominent role on the song if they have a duet version lined up.
At least it will probably be a top 50 USA hit!
It would float her name around once again in America which is good.
From a streaming viewpoint it would ideally appear on the new version of Disco in addition to Marry The Night.
I cant see either of these making the deluxe as they are part of gagas and Ed's own albums but we can hope.
Speaking of deluxe, is it still happening? There has been no details for months. I thought it was going to be a summer release but we are almost half way through the summer.
I think someone said that it wont be released until Sept or October.
Out today, but there doesn't seem to be much sign of Kylie on it!
Can’t stand Ed Sheeran. I’m glad this is not a proper duet and just backing vocals.
She diesnt have a credited feature plus it's a grat.
Just gonna say here that this song is beautiful.
Made me cry for very personal reasons.
That'll do.
I like it myself, but generally i enjoy most of Eds music although i know that is far from a popular opinion on Buzzjack.
I'm liking these two songs better than anything on Divide (with the possible exception of 'Castle on the Hill')
I actually quite liked him before Divide, so maybe he can win me back around again after that horrible era.
I didnt enjoy the collabs album as much as his other albums but it still had some good points.
Amazing track
No 1 on itunes now.
Odd that he's made such a big deal about this since she's just a part of the backing vocals that feature six other people.
I'm assuming that Kylie might have recorded this at one point and that's why she's on the backing vocals?
Such a beautiful and powerful song. It reminds me of ‘Killing Me’ by Luke Sital Singh (also a song about loved ones in heaven)
You can’t hear Kylie at all!
No I cant hear kylie at all either but I still love the song.
I’ve listened to it a lot and I can’t hear Kylie, if it hadn’t been announced she was on backing vocals I’d have no idea
Stunning track though.
This song will be huge !!
Wonder if there will be a duet version of it since he made a big deal out of it? I hope so would be so amazing for Kylie to get a top 10 hit in her 5th decade, I'm still bitter All the lovers didn't get #1.
I would love ED to do a duet version and its not something i would rule out, i know many people frown on ED for for been very chart focused but i like that, i like when artists put in all the effort to do as well in the charts as possible.
If they did a new version featuring her, she wouldn't be credited on the chart (like with the Years & Years - Starstruck scenario)
i wouldn't say this is a feature at all lol but how do you get Kylie on a track and shove her on backing vocals??? it was obviously intended to always be an Ed song with various backing vocalists but i wonder what the actual process was?
Ya id like to know that too or what was the selling point to Kylie to be involved at all.
i cant hear her
in either event as mentioned its likely Kylie wont be officially credited, there is something about the song i cant put an actual word to, traditional isnt the word but it gives me a sense of its a song that brings me back to years back and makes time very nostalgic, as i said i cant put an actual word to it but i mean it in a good way.
If you can't hear Kylie's voice, what's the point of all this?
I can’t hear K’s voice and doesn’t look like she’s officially credited. Honestly, pointless effort Kylie!
All this chat in the Kylie forum regarding a song she is inaudible on More than in the Pop forum
I think it's just intended as her small contribution to a song that is dedicated to a man who was a very important person in her life. I wouldn't say it's pointless for Kylie... her role in this was clearly about the sentiment of taking part in something meaningful to her - not for her to chase chart success.
It does feel like a wasted opportunity but equally I see it was a personal thing for Kylie more than anything else.
I know its a Grat track and not an official single or anything, but I can't believe the second week drop for this.
I'm sure it'll probably end up a million seller in the long run for him.
Thanks for this as it now explains the famous backing vocalists on the song including Kylie.
