I personally love Rise and I don’t mind Unconditionally either!
It’s the more child like songs (basically her huge hits like Firework and Roar) what I’m less keen on |

I wish the chorus hit a BIT harder, it's asking to BURST open at the end and it never fully does but her vocals sound fantastic. A hit? Probably not. But it's very cute and a step up from the last few singles imo, I'm definitely a fan, it'd sound right sitting on Prism.
The video... nothing happens, very filmed in lockdown but she looks STUNNING. This very much feels like a turning point into Katy becoming a Kelly Clarkson kind of artist who is going to just do what she enjoys, hitting a more mature step. And honestly, I'm here for it, it feels very natural, doesn't feel like she's trying to be cool. It won't be a favourite of hers for me, but it's a great song. |

LOVE this It's definitely not her best, but this is a return to form after a couple of wobbles with Small Talk and Harleys. Really excited for the album now, more like this please Katy <3

She looks so beautiful in the video! The video is understandably basic, but Katy is so captivating that it works - I didn't find myself bored by it.
During my first listen I felt like the chorus was going to pop off more than it actually did, but I'm already used to the vibe of it after the second listen. I really like it! I agree that it comes across as being natural. I'm not convinced it's going to be a major hit for her, but we'll see. |

God I’ve missed her. Katy Perry really is one of the ultimate examples of a POPSTAR and I’m serious in that, this isn’t one of her best but it’ll grow. The chorus reminds me a little of Camila’s Shameless!

This is just... what a pregnant, engaged, maturer Katy wants to release isn't it? It's so clear how comfortable she feels in it, and her Instagram post about it after watching the video and listening to the song for the 7th time has given me a few tears.

ouch, another disappointment, at least on 1st listen, as bad as the last few ones...
this is not strong enough, I don't get how they can keep green lighting such average songs |

I love this! Defo her best since NRO. A return to form imo although I did love Unconditionally when it was released and this is very similar.

Best thing she has done since chained to the rhythm. Quite catchy and infectious!

It’s nice and a step in the right direction, I just feel like everything else from this era will fail to live up to the amazingness of NRO
