Back from an amazing weekend in Glasgow!

I had tickets for the original show (Saturday) to see it with a friend. I was not disappointed! My friend was also seeing it with a different friend yesterday, so I managed to grab myself a cheapish resale ticket in the gods to see it a second time!

Was a strange experience, watching it on my own... But I loved it just as much!

Just wish I could see it more! I really hope they tour again, but understand if it's alot for them. Will see!

I got irrationally furious at everyone leaving to grab drinks etc during Girl Overboard/Graffiti My Soul/On the Metro... But their loss, I guess (and it meant most of them missed the songs that followed) - I can understand if people aren't able to go the whole show, so need to pick their moment of course, but I heard people say "don't know this, let's grab a drink".

I was pretty much the only one up and dancing in my block, on my second night, during Girl Overboard... But I didn't really mind if I blocked anyone's view that was sitting, as they were perfectly fine standing during the songs they cared about. Dunno if that's a bad attitude to have on my part though? Noone said anything thankfully!

There is a leaked “copy” of the setlist from Dublin that shows Long Hot Summer as being the “rotating” song. Other songs in this place include Life Got Cold, Memory of You and Real Life!

I'm glad that you had such a great time seeing them in Glasgow! wub.gif

I'm also quite put out by how the audience essentially becomes nocheer.gif from the first notes of a song they don't know, and promptly go for drinks etc. drama.gif I suppose it's predictable that it's during those three songs, but I'm interested that it doesn't seem to happen during any single, not even the ones I'd assume are lesser known by a general audience. I wish more casuals cared to experience a "new" song, and maybe take away from it that they love it?

Obviously everyone goes to a show to get what they want out of it, but I don't really understand the hyperfocus a lot of people seem to have with alcohol at concerts... I know there were people around me who really couldn't have really been able to take in properly what was happening on stage towards the end, because they were getting quite drunk. When the tickets are so expensive, it surprises me that so many people prioritise paying even more to get drunk there, so they won't even properly watch what they've paid to see. thinking.gif

By the way re: the O2 priority show at Shepherds Bush, people can now enter to be in the ballot:

Also a cover of 4 Non Blondes - What's Up (apparently a favourite song of Sarah's)!

Kind of glad they stuck with Long Hot Summer so it gets the moment it deserves. I wonder if any of those above songs could make an appearance at the intimate show?

I saw them last night for the very first time in Glasgow. I absolutely loved it. They all looked like they were having a ball, more so Cheryl and Nadine. It was lovely seeing them genuinely getting on. So many highlights but Untouchable, Girl Overboard, Jump, Whole Lotta History and my personal fav Something New were excellent. Kimberley didn’t ooze the same enthusiasm throughout. It was a shame The Loving Kind wasn’t included, there definitely was space for a few more songs.
