I remember thinking it would be and the Woolies chart had it at No.1, and then it landed at No.9 and disappeared quickly. The track wasn't really up there with either artist's best and I suppose a duet between those two would have been bigger paydirt a decade earlier, but still, it was a surprise to see two legends finally team up and then tank like that.

Same thing can apply to Dua Lipa, Rita Ora and even Charli XCX for the same label sake.

Who's Daniel btw ? Joined: 28 October 2006 Posts: 15,594 User: 1,804	Big collaborations are quite often a letdown really. Britney/Madonna, Beyoncé/Shakira, Shakira/Rihanna, Girls Aloud/Sugababes. Most of the time it's about the acts wanting to keep the biggest hits for solo purposes, so the collaborations end up with average songs. Telephone was fabulous of course.
