Brandon recently confirmed that The Killers will be releasing their eighth studio album early next year, and new song ‘Boy’ was performed live at Madcool Festival the other day! They’ve posted a pre-save link so it’ll be out soon.

Reminiscent of the sound on Day and Age which I welcome.

I'm liking the sound of this.
It's a shame that the best song in the world ever - Mr Brightside - will probably continue to chart higher than it when it's released. |

Exciting! It's always good to have new Killers on the horizon. I'm actually listening to 'Pressure Machine' at the moment and it's grown on me a little but I'm looking forward to their next "proper" studio album

They performed The Lathums’ ‘How Beautiful Life Can Be’ last night with the Wigan band’s Alex Moore!

At this rate they could quite easily have 10 #1 albums in the space of around 20-23 ish years! Very impressive.

I've not *loved* anything from them for a while. I'm praying this gets me back on board! Their last album was by FAR the worst album I've ever heard from them. Unlistenable and it hurt me coz I thought they were a band I would consider who could "do no wrong". I appreciate it's quite different for them and I know it's decently reviewed and favoured with critics etc.. but it wasn't for me.
I hope they go 'Sam's Town' sound more than 'Day & Age' (although I'd welcome a return to either one ofc). |

I’m not the biggest fan of Pressure Machine tbf, but I’d struggle to see how it’s ‘unlistenable’ - the production is very very slick at least.

It is for me. I have never wanted to go back to it and the times after my initial listens that I did go back to it, I couldn't listen to it - it just wasn't my thing I guess.
I'm really liking this one on first listen. Not sure I'm *too* fond of the vocal over production, but the more the song went on and I got used to it, I was enjoying the song more and more. It is indeed very 'Day & Age', I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it was a lost outtake or something tbh. |

If something, it's a leftover from the last album
