For how they work as albums, from start to finish, there's two candidates for me
Deacon Blue - "Raintown" Human League - "Dare" |

I’ve always thought Bad was the better album too, Thriller always seems to be higher in these things though!
I voted for Disintegration |

Some great albums in there, but it would be down to my 80's faves - Abba, Human League, Pet Shop Boys (all brilliant albums with brilliant tracks and a couple of not-brilliant tracks) vs ABC's Lexicon Of Love which is brilliant as an actual album with a cohesive whole. Really hard to call....
....but because it holds better as a complete creation, The Lexicon Of Love. |

Out of the ones on that list,my favourite would be The Works by Queen followed by The Lexicon Of Love, Actually, So, Songs From The Big Chair and Music For The Masses.
There's an album poll going on in The Lounge. Make sure you all vote so that the albums from the 20th Century are well represented. |

From those in the list, I'd say...
01 Kate Bush – Hounds Of Love 02 The Cure – Disintegration 03 The Human League - Dare 04 The Stone Roses – The Stone Roses 05 Prince – Purple Rain 06 Paul Simon - Graceland 07 ABC - The Lexicon Of Love 08 De La Soul – 3 Feet High And Rising 09 Terence Trent D’Arby - Introducing the Hardline According to… 10 Peter Gabriel - So Or possibly Music For The Masses in there somewhere too |

Very hard to predict the No.1. I'd imagine Thriller will be high up as will Hounds Of Love, Rio.
Whitney's second album was very good but I actually preferred her debut. |

Gary Davies said on his show this week that this had received the most votes by a bbc radio show ever.
