Over the weekend, Lady Gaga and Ashanti did a little duet in Las Vegas of a jazzy version of Ashanti's hit 2002 single "Foolish."
The pair came together during singer and jazz trumpeter Brian Newman's "After Dark" lounge show at the NoMad restaurant in Vegas and it was impromptu magic.
Thank goodness for social media, with tweeted video of what happened that allowed us all to witness some of it.
Ashanti recently confirmed to "Entertainment Tonight" that she has new music coming "Very, very soon."
"I'm working on an EP, I'm so excited about the new music," she said. "I have a project coming out November 15 that's going to be crazy, and I have a single out now, 'Pretty Little Thing' featuring Afro B."

Lady Gaga is a fierce champion for so many communities and issues, and part of her advocacy includes being incredibly open about her own struggles. She's spoken out about her experience with sexual assault, mental health issues, PTSD, chronic pain, and much more, showing others who cope with the same things that they aren't alone. In a new interview with Oprah, Lady Gaga continued to help people understand mental illness and its connection to chronic pain, and broke down the stigma around taking mental health medication.
As part of Oprahs 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus tour, Gaga sat down with Oprah for a long talk. During the interview, the singer spoke honestly about her mental health, her experience with fibromyalgia, and how taking mental health medication has helped her "tremendously."
Gaga previously spoke about being diagnosed with PTSD and fibromyalgia, but in her talk with Oprah she dove a little deeper into how the two things may be connected.
I was raped repeatedly when I was 19 years old, and I also developed PTSD as a result of being raped and also not processing that trauma. I did not have anyone help me, I did not have a therapist, I did not have a psychiatrist, I did not have a doctor help me through it," she said. I all of a sudden became a star and was traveling the world going from hotel room to garage to limo to stage, and I never dealt with it, and then all of a sudden I started to experience this incredible intense pain throughout my entire body that mimicked the illness I felt after I was raped.
The singer went on to explain that her pain was part of a "trauma response." According to the Mayo Clinic, fibromyalgia is a condition marked by widespread pain, fatigue, and cognitive difficulties. While doctors don't know the exact cause of fibromyalgia, the Mayo Clinic notes that it can be triggered by physical and emotional trauma, or psychological stress.
After expanding on her struggle with mental health and chronic pain, Gaga opened up about the importance of medication. She called it a controversial topic, noting that there's still intense stigma surrounding treating mental illness with medication, which is why it's so important that the star is so honest about her own use of mental health medicine.
"Medication has helped me tremendously," Gaga said. "I take an anti-psychotic. [If I didn't take it] I would spiral very frequently and I would spasm in my sleep."
Speaking openly about her own mental health medication can help reduce the stigma associated with treating mental illness, helping others realize that there's nothing bad or wrong about getting any sort of medical treatment whether it's for your mind or your body.
"Medicine really helped me. A lot of people are afraid of medicine for their brains to help them. I really want to erase the stigma around this," she said. "I'm sick of saying it over and over again. Not everybody has access to these things, not everybody has money for these things. I want the money for it, I want the best doctors in the world, and I want us to understand the brain and get on the same page about it so Gen Z does not have to deal with this the way we are right now. Mental health is a crisis."

"If there is going to be a Lady Gaga bug, it's going to be a treehopper, because they've got these crazy horns, they have this wacky fashion sense about them," Morris said in a university news release. "They're unlike anything you've ever seen before."
They're certainly among the most theatrical of all insects: Treehoppers are splashed with color, and no two species look alike. There are over 3,500 species of them worldwide, and they're harbingers of the health of forests, Morris told CNN.
"It blows my kind that a group that is roughly 40 million years old has so much diversity of form -- diversity, I would argue, that we don't see in any other family of insects," Morris said in the news release.

How do you upload / have The Fame / The Fame Monster on your devices. Do you seperate them as two different records like the US did or have them like the UK did and have them as the same album.

Born This Way is too low! Great to see appreciation for the ASIB soundtrack. I don't know how The Fame could be as high as 2nd but I guess for non-stans it is still that seminal album. Overall, not a hugely bad list given it's been created for the masses to read.

I think what the video shows is that even from day 1 she has advocated equality and been a philanthropist wanting change in society. That is no different to Gaga in 2020.
If anything, her being the outspoken, radical person she is, is precisely WHY her music continues to thrive! She has gained the respect of so many communities.
She has changed her style of speaking out but the basis is still the same - she has always been outspoken besides her music (and artistry in general) and always will be!
Alright but you can do more than just one thing. For me, the fact that she uses her platform to talk about important issues is necessary, but it doesn't change the fact that she forgot what gave her the opportunity to have the reach she has today to talk about these topics, her music.
It's the same thing that you live your whole life in a suburb, and when you manage to change your reality, you forget where you came from, you forget your roots.
