BuzzJack Music Forum _ Kylie and Dannii Minogue _ Kylie & Nick Cave perform in London

Posted by: liamk97 Jun 4 2018, 12:35 AM

So Nick Cave headlined London's All Points East festival in Victoria Park and brought Kylie to the stage to perform 'Where the Wild Roses Grow'.

She still sounds so good on this track, really hope it's performed on her upcoming tour!

She sounds fantastic - the song suits her voice so well.

Definitely one of my favourite Kylie tracks and I think it’s aged really well, so disappointed that it was released during the downturn of her career and didn’t chart as it should have. Always surprises me for a #11 hit that disappeared from the charts almost as soon as it arrived how well it’s remembered wub.gif

Wow! It's as though no time has passed. And Kylie's voice sounds heavenly.

Kylie sounds stunning on that. Where The Wild Roses Grow is another stunning song that like many of her tracks deserved to be a much bigger hit than it was.
Career defining moment for Kylie too, as she often quotes it as one of the most important songs of her career.
Nick Cave genuinely seems to have a lot of love for Kylie and sees the talent in her that many undermine.

Here's another close up video of the performance:

Up to #285 on iTunes!

Agreed. It's great to see someone of his world of music have a lot of admiration and appreciation of Kylie whose talent, as you say, often gets overlooked. She nails it on this performance.

Kylie;s dress is awful but i will overlook it due to the superb performance.

Incredible this has had some iTunes impact - I hope we start to see more love for this song wub.gif

Those few extra sales are welcoming as it all adds up.
It most certainly is one of her songs i would welcome receiving a new chart life.

Still in the iTunes chart at #305 - I know that’s a handful of sales but impressive based on a concert performance yahoo.gif

It is good that the performance helped capture some sales and possibly some streams too.

Posted by: liamk97 Jun 5 2018, 08:30 PM

It's actually one of her most streamed on Spotify. I assume that's down to Nick Cave and it being one of his, if not the, most known of his songs, but still.

It's a great song and always was,it done well here in Ireland at the time too reaching number 6 and staying on the chart for a while too.

I think it was also a decent size hit in Australia for them aswell.
This and Breathe were the big highlights from both her deconstruction eras.

BMG and Kylie I been posting on social media about this - hopefully will boost a few extra sales and get people seeking out Golden.
