Lil Nas X looks to make it five weeks at #1 on the singles chart, while Russ Millions/Tion Wayne should make a big climb with the new remix of Body. The Weeknd releases a new version of Save Your Tears with Ariana Grande, plus there's tracks from CHVRCHES, Little Simz and Jorja Smith
Tom Jones is in contention for #1 with his 41st studio album Surrounded By Time. Among the new releases are Kaleo's third album Surface Sounds and Porter Robinson's Nurture, along with records from Dinosaur Jr., Chicane, Field Music and Motorhead

Gone slow week Katy Perry careers in tatters new one not done anything
Really hope The Pale White surprise and manage at least Top 15 with their album - brilliant live band and the album is excellent.
Looking like another extremely quiet week- think there will be hardly any new entries if any at all, nothing that big was released on Friday.
Almost First Look time!
Are there any new entries today?
Nice to listen to Rasputin.
Oh! It isn't top 20.
0 new entries
20 D-Block Europe & RAYE - Ferrari Horses
RAYE smashing with 2 top 20 hits.
Like said other day fell like old January 0 new songs
19 Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak & Silk Sonic - Leave the Door Open
For DBlock Europe 'standards' this is good imo.
18 Dave - Titanium
17 Mimi Webb - Good Without
I'm here today. Good Without sounds really good today. First time hearing it.
A lovely track and she is a local girl from around our area of Kent
16 Olivia Rodrigo - deja vu
15 Ava Max - My Head & My Heart
And she will fall later in the week
My Head & My Heart is such a banger. Sounds amazing in the sun.
#19 again on Friday perhaps?
14 The Weeknd - Save Your Tears
#14 on ACR? It would have been a top 5 contender if it was still on SCR.
YES @ Save Your Tears getting back into the top 20. Hopefully, The Weeknd gets another #1 in the US. This remix is so lush
such a great track, I think I prefer the original though
New version with Arianna is really good. Never that keen on AG's stuff, but her voice suits this song well.
13 Masked Wolf - Astronaut in the Ocean
Astronaut in the Ocean is a bop
Heat Waves still to come
12 ATB, Topic & A7S - Your Love (9PM)
11 Doja Cat feat. SZA - Kiss Me More
KISS ME MORE I JUST LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!!!
10 Polo G - RAPSTAR
RAPSTAR is another bop. The chart is coming through with the bops today.
Hope polo g get some ground back in week
9 Ella Henderson & Tom Grennan - Let's Go Home Together
Oh wow Ella Henderson getting another hit years after her debut smash Ghost. First time hearing Let's Go Home Together, its nice.
8 Tiësto - The Business
The Business refuses to get old for me. It's such a tune.
OMG! Body still to come.
Ella destined to only ever get non-solo hits.
Pray last Sunday got listen the business
7 Russ Millions & Tion Wayne - Body
Body is growing in me a bit.
Body... is... interesting...
Hopefully this can slip out by the end of the week
I don't find this Body attractive.
This top 10 ascent was inevitable from the moment Body showed it was more than a one week wonder, but that doesn't make it any more bearable
6 Tom Grennan - Little Bit of Love
Little Bit Of Love is really nice. Tom has a phenomenal voice.
Little Bit of Love better be top 5 urgently!
5 Nathan Evans, 220 KID & Billen Ted - Wellerman
Wellerman is such a tune. Love it!
4 Joel Corry, RAYE & David Guetta - BED
I didn't like BED at first but it is quite the grower.
3 Justin Bieber feat. Daniel Caesar & GIVĒON - Peaches
Buzzjack's 'favourite' Friday in the top 2.
2 Riton & Nightcrawlers feat. Mufasa & Hypeman - Friday
1 Lil Nas X - MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)
'Friday' in First Look:
5-3-6-4-2-2-3-6-2-2
'Friday' by the end of each week:
7-5-7-5-4-5-5-6-5-?
Oh well... Lil Nas X is going to be my Birthday track of the year
Friday should disappear from top ten NOW, same applies to The Business and Wellerman. Painful to watch the charts really. US Hot 100 is PHRESH compared to the UK now.
^Mood still top 20 there but you say the US charts are fresh.
Vert static chart but ella and tom in with a shot of 2nd week top 10 is good.
So on SCR Save Your Tears would be quite possibly #2 in the first look, dropping to around #6 by the end of the week. What a shame.
What a disappointingly dull chart especially when Olivia Rodrigo's brave but excellent track is going in wrong direction. However geneeic unoriginal dance trash like 'Friday', 'Bed' and that ATB remake are holding steady.
Surprisingly 'Body' is far from the worse track in the top 20.
Best songs in the chart
06. (07) LITTLE BIT OF LOVE (Tom Grennan) 12 wks
09. (10) LET’S GO HOME TOGETHER (Ella Henderson & Tom Grennan) 10 wks
19. (22) LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN (Silk Sonic feat Bruno Mars & Anderson Paak) 8 wks
Disappointing ‘Save Your Tears’ didn’t get top 5 this week but least it’s fall will be more natural!
Years & Years have the Big Top 40 #1
(Hopefully it can officially get top 40 at some point)
6 of the current top 25 in the US have been charting for over 6 months (and a couple others are just short of that mark). Just because we have a couple of songs overstaying their welcome in the top 10 right now does not mean the US chart is suddenly fresher in comparison lol ~
The timing of this 'Save Your Tears' remix is certainly annoying from a UK perspective especially if it does deny the song what would have been a top 10 peak but at least it'll keep the song around a few extra weeks + will very likely get it the #1 in the US which is more important than just belatedly getting a UK top 10 peak.
What is a "Big Top 40", an iTunes chart?
More or less, it’s whatever’s top 10 on iTunes on a Sunday afternoon.
So it’s based on nothing 😂
Well it's nice that basically 1k of digital sales can get a number position on a weekly chart - just not the official one.
Usually the Big Top 40 #1 is at least something that's doing quite well on Apple Music as well but 'Starstruck' isn't even in the top 40 there either lol.
I imagine it's their #1 just because it's been doing well on iTunes (with its rather insignificant sales figures) and playlisted by the two stations it goes out on!
I’ve always wondered where the other chart shows actually get their data from. I know the big top 40 uses a mix of Apple Music and iTunes but what about the other chart shows? I’ve often wondered if they just make it up lol

Tom Jones, John Lennon and The Who in the top 5! What year is it?
Higher than I was expecting for Scouting For Girls' covers album which is good to see!
Coming to be Tom Jones' first #1 since 1999 apparently (assuming it holds on) - the fact that he had a #1 single more recently than his last #1 album
Tom Jones should do a Reload 2 next (Reloaded?). The original Reload was a monster success and impressive considering even then he was 60-odd. He's definitely still got the commercial clout to get some big name contemporary duet partners, and his voice is still strong. Amazing how essentially an easy listening crooner from the 1960s has kept reinventing himself and managed to stay so relevant for so long.
Tom Jones new album is surprisingly good, the single being playlisted by R2 is the best thing he's done in ages
Agree he should do Reload 2, wonder why he never did, it would be an obvious good album seller
Tom Jones - Surrounded By Time *
John Lennon - John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band ^
The Who - The Who Sell Out
Really love this year 1973, wonder what 1974 brings
I take it John Lennon and The Who are reissue of old albums
labels might make more money reissuing old albums than investing in new bands :/
Singles update added
Rag'N'Bone Man & Pink back up, might pull a surprise as they are both performing the track at the BRITs
It’s such a shame that there’s 5 tracks currently stuck between 40-50 positions that haven’t made the top 40 yet!
a few interesting songs just outside the top 40, hopefully some sneak in
42 Noizu - Summer 91
43 Becky Hill - last Time
45 bad Boy Chiller Club
50 Blessed Madonna - Marea
And top 5 sales from MW added
Does anyone know how much Tom Jones' last album 'Long Lost Suitcase' sold in its first week in 2015, charting at #17?
Oh I assumed London Grammar would have fallen a lot further than just #3 at this stage! Should overtake Lennon by the end of the week as well so might actually get a second week in the top 2? (Although Dua/Bieber might overtake them).
Nice surprise to see 'How Does It Feel' currently looking like actually climbing this week as well
Singles Bonus
42 Noizu - Summer 91 (Looking Back)
43 Becky Hill - Last Time
45 Bad Boy Chiller Crew - Don't You Worry About Me
50 Fred Again & The Blessed Madonna - Marea (We've Lost Dancing)
52 P!nk & Willow Sage Hart - Cover Me In Sunshine
53 Maroon 5 & Megan Thee Stallion - Beautiful Mistakes
56 Regard, Troye Sivan & Tate McRae - You
57 Paul Woolford & Amber Mark - Heat
60 Fat Joe, DJ Khaled & Amorphous - Sunshine (The Light)
63 London Grammar - How Does It Feel
64 Jorja Smith - Addicted
80 H.E.R. feat. Chris Brown - Come Through *
87 PS1 feat. Alex Hosking - Life Goes On *
what a tragedy we have this week that there's only 2 projected new entries and both of them are in the lowest quarter of the chart.
surprised to see London Grammar climb this week, but the song does sound like it could be a hit moreso than the rest of this era of theirs.
it's very great to see Paul Woolford turning around too and potentially re-peaking, could be a top 40 hit easily if Spotify get their act together and push it.
I'd really like to see Marea make the top 40 at some stage too, it's a very unique hit single.
Come through We're Good with that second wind! Currently smashing on Deezer
The success of 'How Does It Feel' is being significantly propped up by the Paul Woolford remix I guess (assuming it has some Apple Music playlist spots? although the original version is actually still higher there anyway). Here for it to become a proper hit. x
I thought Zara’s Poster Girl would be back in the top 100 following the Vinyl release. What a shame - Epic flop for Zara.
Weird to see Chicane in the top40 album midweeks! A real blast from the past.
At least two of the reissued albums could get new peaks: on original release, Plastic Ono Band reached #8 and The Who Sell Out #13. Lazer Guided Melodies made #27 but I very much doubt it'll have improved on that by Friday.
It's done far better than the actual song deserves to lbr xxx
'Levitating' rightfully beating it while being on ACR we love to see it
We’re Good hasn’t totally flopped but it quite clearly has underperformed massively. It’s what it deserves though because it’s by far and away the worst thing she’s ever put her name to and is the worst of the 4 newies on the re-release. That Kind Of Woman deserves to smash.
You can't expect every Dua single ever to be a massive top 5 hit.
but We're Good a brand new track, not the 9th single of the album
there's no excuses to explain how it's flopped, it's just not good enough
I really hope We're Good becomes a sleeper hit just to shut everyone up
It’s a good track but her faster disco tracks seem to do better than her slower songs. But how many times have we seen a huge era through a year then a rerelease new track flops the following Jan/Feb!
Oh c'mon.
It's a brand new fully-fledged single from her during her imperial phase, it even had the video released on the same day as its release date. It's a certified flop.
Hopefully her team see it as a sign not to go in this direction for the next era.
To be honest if I were a Dua stan I'd just take the L on this one and accept that the relative underperformance validates the success of her better singles. The exception that proves the rule and all that.
We're Good is a great song and 10 weeks (probably a couple more to come) top 40 is NOT a flop given the limited push and label investment it's had. People who say otherwise are just jealous!
Go to the Dua artist forum to argue about this, please!
(and 10 weeks in top 40 is not a flop to anyone)
I can’t believe there’s such an argument over one song 😂 it’s a good song I like it, but it’s nowhere near her best which is why it only peaked in the mid 20’s.
Another slow week with minimal movement on the chart then.
I wouldn't say We're Good is a complete flop, to still be top 40 shows it's connected to SOME degree, but it's most definitely an underperformance. It's had a big push here, and I don't think the excuse of it being a single to tide us over while Levitating smashes in the US washes either - We're Good has had a push over there too (#26 on the latest airplay update), it's just getting overshadowed (even before Levitating's TikTok boost).
Compare this to Physical, which didn't get a US push at all and was technically a single for the rest of the world to tide us over while Don't Start Now smashed over there, and it really paints a clear picture. Physical still became a big hit here with basically the same push as We're Good, the latter just hasn't been received so warmly.
It could have done worse, but it could absolutely have done much better.
A 90s one would be amazing, if almost impossible to compile. So many tracks that I love from that decade... although saying that perhaps a lot didn't reach #1 so maybe it would be quite as difficult as I'm first thinking.
That'll teach me to rush a comment when I'm not concentrating! Although I'm sure Gezza will pick it up in here
I mean We’re Good has just become Dua’s sixth top-forty hit in the U.S so clearly it’s done it’s job!!?
Some people on here are honestly ‘dua-ing the most’.
With Dua Lipa, whether the song is classed as big or not which is the argument here the whole era in general has been a big success for her. Its only natural that not all releases can be monster hits, but the single has served its purpose, its kept her in the charts and kept the album selling which currently stands the best selling album of the year. My point is I don't think Dua Lipa will be in any worried that it wasn't her biggest hit. All artists at their peaks experience lower charting and selling singles than others especially this far in to the campaign, we all know she has both bigger and smaller hits ahead of her.
Was 'We're Good' not Uk airplay number one? radio has instantly supported it, its the low placing on HH on streaming services which is holding it back.
Is Save Your Tears going to be reset to SCR?

Heat Waves #22?
Wonder if Ava will get a 7th week at 19?
I know sales themselves are low and all that, but 'Montero' not even selling 6,000 downloads in total since it was released?
I hope Becky Hill can stay top 40.
Hope Masked Wolf is on for a new peak this week, would love to see this climb into the Top 10.
There’s a lot of songs hovering around the 40-50 mark that just can’t seem to get into the top 40- medicine, last time (although this could enter this week hopefully), don’t you worry about me, summer 91 and marea (we’ve lost dancing). Hope to see the majority of them enter at some point. Also still hopeful way too long can enter soon, it’s holding up fairly well on Spotify and Apple around the 50-70 mark.
Marea (We lost dancing) is absolutely mesmerising and beautiful. Love for that to be top 40.
'Marea' seems to be making quite decent progress week-on-week so I'm quite confident it will.
Marea is doing great considering it's like track #65 on HH, if it's moved up a bit, sure it's gonna be a hit
Perfectly happy for most of those to stall outside the top 40 frankly. Although I would like to see 'Marea (We've Lost Dancing)' make it in.
Merea def the best dance track of the moment!
Didn’t Know so close to outpeaking You Want Me. Also hope that Y&Y and Becky Hill can remain top 40 and that Russ can remain top 5 and even better, overtake Friday
Marea would be among the top 3 tracks on top 40 if it got there. Gorgeous!
oh my just figured out Marea is The Blessed Madonna's real name
I though it was Spanish, Marea means tide hahaha
I only figured that out when I saw that Fred's album's track titles were all based on the contributors' names
YES Russ nail down that top 10 position
Will the UK ever get a two-week #1 album again, let alone more weeks at #1
maybe Billie Eilish this summer?
Assuming Adele and Ed Sheeran release this year, I'd say it's a certainty.
It really puts the mega success of The Greatest Showman soundtrack into perspective. That blocked so many would-be one-week-wonder No.1 albums.
The Greatest Showman would probably still be top 10 today if allowed at least it's still top 10 on Apple Albums Streaming and has been then since release
If ed sheeran or adele release they should easily manage fir than a week at the top.
It only happened a couple of times last year didn’t it?
Are we getting a Thursday midweeks this week
It feels like the product of a transitional period, where huge selling albums are no longer able to sustain those crazy high numbers for more than a week, but at the same time, monster streaming albums don't sit on a steady that's high enough to stay above mid-tier notable #1 hopefuls on their debut week. Granted there just haven't been that many Big Deal album releases this year yet, but if sales get to the point of not being a deciding factor, long runs at #1 will become the norm again.
Thoughts on the new billie eilish song? In all honesty I’m not a huge fan of her music it’s not really my type her only song I like is therefore I am. Not too sure on this one either it’s okay on first listen- question is will it be able to go to #1?
I think it will do less well than 'My Future' - just not commercial in the slightest. Top 20 on name power and then out top 40. Love it though.
I dont see it been a big hit either, a minor top 20 but im sure he next album will still do really well for her.
A surprise new album from Lewis Capaldi could kill two birds with one stone. It would probably get at least two weeks at number one and the three tracks rule would probably send Someone You Loved out of the singles chart (at least for a week o two).
Well he's already confirmed his next album won't be out until 2022 now!
Maybe he means that he will release it one day just after twenty past eight in the evening
Wonder where Little Mix will chart next week! So excited!
Wheres years and years at single charts ?
