I'm looking forward to Serena Williams v Simona Halep on Saturday but won't see much of Federer v Djokovic on Sunday as the cricket world cup final takes precedence. I'll watch the British Grand Prix highlights some time Sunday evening, hopefully without knowing who won.

Yesterday, was some day in sport. We had probably one of the greatest Wimbledon finals we've seen up there with Borg/McEnroe, Nadal/Federer. Two of the greatest tennis players of all time going hammer and tong like warriors. I don't think we'll see the likes of Djokovic and Federer again as well as Nadal and Murray. I don't think you will have a quartet dominate tennis for a period of about 17 years and extending. However 10 miles up the road at Lord's, we witnessed probably the greatest cricket matches that you're ever likely to see. Sheer drama. I was in the car and I shouted "Yes" driving back from Ledbury with my Mum when England won the Rugby World Cup in 2003 listening to it on the radio. England v New Zealand that was something quite special, for it to go an "Super Over" and for to be decided by inches was just remarkable. Thank you to Sky Sports for making the Cricket World Cup free-to-air, the first England match that has been shown live on free-to-air TV in the UK since the 2005 Ashes. The 2005 Ashes that was one of the greatest Ashes that you'll probably see and I've seen also that was the last England Cricket match I'd seen until..... yesterday. I don't think you could write an script for what was two great moments in sport. July 14th 2019 will probably go down as one of the great British sport days. England winning the Cricket World Cup and the way it ended was the most incredible climax, I think cricket has ever seen. The person who thought up of the "Super Over", one Allan Stanfield back in 2008.

The following:

Moeen Ali
Jofra Archer
Jonny Bairstow
Jos Buttler (wkt)
Tom Curran
Liam Dawson
Eoin Morgan (capt)
Liam Plunkett
Adil Rashid
Joe Root
Jason Roy
Ben Stokes
James Vince
Chris Woakes
Mark Wood

You have all done us proud.

From a well known song I don't like cricket oh no
I love it. I certainly do now.
