Not really feeling him, tbh. sad.gif She, however, is amazing! She should've teamed up with this guy again:

The song will be titled 'Imperija" and the music video and the song will be presented on the 27th February!

And here is the official video for 'Imperija':

Posted by: Jáhq Feb 27 2013, 09:12 PM

Hmm. I like it on first listen. And I expect her performance on stage in Malmo will provide a few moments.

Posted by: Ghosty. Feb 27 2013, 09:18 PM

Well that could go either way. I really like it though!

MKTV is canceling Imperija and a new team is working on a brand new song for Lozano and Esma!
Darko Dimitrov (ESC 2006) and Lazar Cvetkovski (Lozano's producer) are writing the song and Elena Risteska (ESC 2006 performer) is expected to write the lyrics.
The song should be done by March 18th (EBU deadline) and the official video by the end of the month.

Great... another good song gone.

Posted by: Ghosty. Mar 8 2013, 05:10 PM

Well Macedonia deserve to DNQ for that.

Posted by: LexC Mar 8 2013, 06:00 PM

Macedonia are up against it anyway as most of their 'friends' are in the other semi-final. Unless it's better than Imperija, I don't think they're gonna be in the final.

Posted by: Atonement Mar 8 2013, 09:57 PM

!! This was my 2nd favorite so far (and it was of the few I really liked).

Changing entry should be prohibited (and I'm not just saying this now 'cause one of my favorites is gone).

Posted by: Sabrewulf Mar 8 2013, 10:02 PM

This was really catchy, it was popping into my head all day today. It was a pretty instant song and hard to forget. I had it at #12 on my rankings but it surely would have moved upwards.

Shame, it seems like a lot of strange and silly decisions are being made this year.

Esma and Lozano recorded the new Eurovision song that will replace Imperija. The song is fast with modern rhythm and still doesn't have a title, there's still some minor work on it and it should be presented on Wednesday evening. The key people are Darko Dimitrov and Lazar Cvetkovski, the Esma's part is prepared by Simeon Atanasov. Elena Risteska and Magdalena Cvetkovska (awesome lyrics writer) are responsible for the lyrics. Backing vocalist for Esma is Eleonora Mustafovska, the lead vocalist of "Esma's band". MRT informed that the song will not be presented in a special show but on some of the regular shows or the main news. The video is still not made.

Glad they are going to still have an uptempo track if this news is true! I hope they can come up with something even better than 'Imperija' which I liked for its variety even though it was fairly low on my rankings!

Posted by: Ryan. Mar 13 2013, 04:53 PM

The new song is now scheduled to be presented on Thursday evening at 7pm CET (6pm GMT).

Posted by: Ryan. Mar 14 2013, 04:24 PM

The title for the new entry is "Pred da se razdeni" and should be revealed tonight according to a poster on ESC Forum. Some websites say it will be on Friday, but the poster believes that it will be tonight. We will wait and see!

Posted by: ♫ Boyan ♫ Mar 14 2013, 07:08 PM

The song will premier tomorrow night on MRT's "Dancing with stars". The show is only taped tonight...

the new song "Pred da se razdeni" was presented:

'Imperija' > 'Pred da se razdeni'. Not as catchy as 'Imperija'.

Posted by: Kanduälska Mar 15 2013, 07:54 PM

Why on EARTH did Macedonia have a problem with the glorious ethno-nonsense that was Imperija? Anyway, this is awful and Imperija must be reinstated THIS INSTANT

I much preferred 'Imperija' but I hope this grows on me!

Posted by: Jerick Mar 15 2013, 11:41 PM

Preferred Imperija, this song was boring

THIS.

Although Esma's entrance was FABULOUS (but it could be even MORE fabulous).

Posted by: Cal Mar 16 2013, 10:30 AM

I actually prefer this one!

Posted by: Tom Kay In Exile Mar 16 2013, 10:36 AM

I'm #TeamImperia but more so Team Lozano. He's got the geek chic thing down to an I.T. wub.gif

Posted by: Ryan. Mar 16 2013, 11:11 PM

Rumours are apparently circulating that 'Imperija' could yet be reinstated as the song after 'Pred da se razdeni' gained negative reactions following its presentation!

Posted by: Eyes Mar 16 2013, 11:51 PM

Utterly ridiculous country. Don't they like ANYTHING?

I couldn't really give a shit which one they choose because they're both about as good as each other but why on earth would you change a song because of the demands of your populace when that populace has about the most out-of-touch taste in the whole of Europe?!

Posted by: Sabrewulf Mar 16 2013, 11:58 PM

I hope they bring Imperija back. It's far better than the new one.

More than that though I want them to make up their minds. Gee and we thought Belarus was bad!

Posted by: Kanduälska Mar 17 2013, 10:03 PM

Apparently it's still up in the air and won't be confirmed until after the Heads of Delegation meeting tomorrow. Here's hoping for Imperija!

Posted by: Atonement Mar 17 2013, 10:58 PM

I prefer 'Imperija' too but 'Pred Da Se Razdeni' is also fun. I would place either of them 2nd on my favorite list right now ('Imperija' perhaps even #1). Let's hope they switch back though!

I like both enough to actually want them to record an album together blush.gif

Here is the official video for 'If I Could Change The World' which is in English and Romani with the last chorus is in Macedonian. Lozano's parts are great and the English works very well, but unforunately Esma's parts just completely ruin it for me. sad.gif However this version is an improvement on the last, so if this becomes the Eurovision version then that's a good move.

Posted by: Paveux Apr 28 2013, 07:11 AM

I don't think they can do a song different to the one that is on the official CD though?

Posted by: Ryan. Apr 29 2013, 05:24 PM

I thought so too, well at least not such a big change but according to ESC Forum, apparently Lozano has confirmed that himself and Esma will be singing this new 3-language version in Malmo and that the fine for the change is 10% of their participation fee! ohmy.gif

It's happened a few times before. The official CD version of Ding Dong wasn't done in the semis, for one.

Posted by: Ryan. Apr 29 2013, 05:30 PM

I suppose you could say the version that Blue performed was different to the CD version with that slight change in the first chorus, but it wasn't too much of a difference.

Posted by: Ghosty. Apr 29 2013, 07:08 PM

That Sounds Good To Me was different too as far as I can remember. Not that it helped much, if at all. Likewise They Can't Stop The Spring kink.gif

Sertab's entry was completely different to the one released on the compilation album as well. The version on the compilation is beyond dire and wouldn't have come anywhere near winning!

I just keep watching that and I'm not sure why. I'd give 12 points for effort! tongue.gif

Posted by: Ryan. May 11 2013, 02:46 PM

Despite performing the mostly English version in the first rehearsal, it has been confirmed that Lozano will return to singing all of his part in Macedonian as he did in the second rehearsal.
