Celebrity Big Brother Season 2 premieres on Monday, Jan. 21 at 8/7c
Once more, a group of celebrities will live together in the Big Brother house that is outfitted with 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day.

Julie Chen Moonves returns as host. Following the premiere, Celebrity Big Brother will air on multiple nights each week for three weeks, with the two-hour finale on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

CBB1 was so much better than I expected, I hope the next set of houseguests are just as willing to get stuck in!

I loved the first series, would love to see the return of Tiffany Pollard on it!

Here for this!!!’

Supposedly thus is the cast, pinch of salt and all that but there hasn't been many rumoirs and tbh it seems mostly like people who might do it, so some of then at least may be accurate:

Caitlyn Jenner
Tiffany Pollard
Dina Lohan
Aubrey O'Day
Tonya Harding
Bobby Moyinhan
Stephen Baldwin
Jonathan Bennett
Carson Kressley
Sean Spicer

The only ones I'd be really excited about are Tiffany and Aubrey who we know are great from CBB UK, Stephen iirc was boring af on it and Carson was deathly dull on I'm A Celeb in Australia the year before last. Tonya and Dina could be interesting, Caitlyn Jenner seems very unrealsiric and I don't know if I could be bothered to watch the self obsessed idiot for 3-4 weeks puke.gif

The cast is revealed Sunday night US time, so early Monday for us!

Two rumours I've seen today now things are getting a bit more solid are Joey Lawrence (Blossom, Melissa & Joey) and Natalie Eva Marie (a former WWE wrestler).

Posted by: Liаm 13th January 2019, 06:53 PM

Cast revealed!!

Kato Kaelin (radio presenter, famous as a murder i nthe OJ Simpson murder case)
Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels from Mean Girls)
Lolo Jones (bobsledder)
Ricky Williams (NFL player)
Joey Lawrence (actor, Blossom/Melissa & Joey)
Dina Lohan (reality star, Lindsey's mum)
Tamar Braxton (R&B singer and reality star)
Tom Green (comedian/actor)
Kandi Burruss (Real Housewives Of Atlanta)
Natalie Eva Marie (WWE Wrestler)
Ryan Lochte (Swimmer)
Anthony Scaramucci (politician, fired from the Trump administration)

Posted by: Klaus 13th January 2019, 06:54 PM

Oh dear I need my eyes tested, I don’t see Tiffany Pollard there unsure.gif

Posted by: Liаm 13th January 2019, 07:05 PM

Tamar Braxton is going to be ICONIC *.*

Scaramucci is huge as a signing, probably bigger than Omarosa in terms of having the political clout but obv he is a terrible person :/

Posted by: Cody Underwood 13th January 2019, 07:14 PM

TAMAR AND JONATHAN OMG *.* I’m ready to get my life on this one

Posted by: Klaus 13th January 2019, 07:14 PM

omg i didn’t the Mooch listed, he did seem to be quite fame hungry but still an odd signing from his perspective- great for the show though with its 24/7 streaming!

Posted by: HarryEzra 13th January 2019, 07:35 PM

omg tamar braxton!!!!!

Posted by: Aaron. 13th January 2019, 08:24 PM

I'm avoiding all spoilers/cast until the launch... however, I follow a few Real Housewives Accounts on Instagram and I've obviously seen Kandi is going in.
I ran through a rolodex in my mind of former Housewives and the only one that came to mind was Brandi who obviously did it last year.... I didn't think they'd be able to get a current Housewive, but, Kandi is a great catch!

She will either flop or do very well. I'm quite surprised she's doing it... I wonder if she's actually a fan or not.

Posted by: Jack 13th January 2019, 10:17 PM

I was looking forward to Aubrey and Tiffany sad.gif

Tamar is the only one I'm excited for really.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 13th January 2019, 11:00 PM

Does any channel on sky show this ?

Posted by: HarryEzra 14th January 2019, 01:20 AM

No but you can find it online.

Posted by: J▲hq 14th January 2019, 02:30 PM

I know more of them based on name alone this year without having to look up what they're famous for (Tamar Braxton, Dina Lohan and Ryan Lockte vs. probably only Ross Mathews), so I consider that a success laugh.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 22nd January 2019, 02:09 AM

HERE FOR THIS THE PREMIERE WAS GREAT. Hopefully it does well, the CBS website is down due to too much traffic ohmy.gif

Ryan Lochte: Brilliant casting, IS HE THE GUY FROM TIM THE TOOL MAN TAYLOR. That had me dying.
Kandi Burruss: Not a great first episode, we all know that they like to put up the two that did the worst in the HOH. At least she had some confessionals. I'm here for Kandi tho.
Kato Kaelin: Had they got OJ I'd see why, but him on his own.... why?
Lolo Jones: Love her, she's a beast as we've seen on The Challenge.. but I wonder if she can actually play the game. She's a killer in competition.
Joey Lawrence: A bit before my time I'm afraid.
Natalie Eva Marie: Why nobody picked her for the HOH I have no idea. She could beast it pretty far, I think she said she was a fan too?
Ricky Williams: Zzzz, what happened to him?! He was decent looking on the Celebrity Apprentice!
Dina Lohan: GURL I AM HERE FOR THIS MESS. What was with the invisible edit episode 1 tho!?!
Anthony Scaramucci: He's going to be the goat they take far, hopefully.
Tamar Braxton: Looks like she may have Kandi's number, I'm a little worried!
Jonathan Bennett: I don't really watch any of the shows he hosts, but I obviously know who he is.. and his boyfriend :swoon:
Tom Green: Yesssss. Had me on the floor. SANDWICH?!?!

Great cast and premiere. I anticipate they'll just take off whoever is up between Ryan/Jonathan. But, if they don't.. good opportunity to take a threat out week 1!

Posted by: Riser 22nd January 2019, 04:19 AM

Yes very good premiere, pretty sure I liked it more than last year's!

I can actually see them targeting the first nominee to get a threat out early, so this twist has me shaking a little bit!

Posted by: Cody Underwood 23rd January 2019, 02:39 AM

All right, I’m watching the premiere right now since Bachelor was there, so let’s do this!

First Impressions:
Ryan: Didn’t realize he was a father now. We all know about his rocky reputation. Luckily he’s been invisible since 2016 so we’ll just leave it at that.
Natalie: She seems very tough.
Tom: He was in Charlie’s Angels? Never new that. Other than that I don’t know what to expect.
Lolo: I remember her as a Winter Olympian and as Keo’s first of many failed attempts to succeed in DWTS. Her package SCREAMS showmance fodder. Watch out, Ryan.
Kato: Meh. Next.
Tamar: YES. I’ve been waiting for her since she was confirmed in the cast. Really hope she gets far, also think she might go the Kaycee route in keeping her integrity during the game.

Her eating the grapes is a MOOD.
Joey: Melissa & Joey was a bit of a guilty pleasure, gonna be pretty exciting to see what he brings to the table.
Dina: A DRAMA MAGNET.
Jonathan: Grool. Of course he’s a fan, he’s featured on Kaitlyn’s Instagram.
Kandi: Also don’t know what to expect, but definitely expecting her to have a really tough skin.
Ricky: Another Heisman winner, every reality show is really obsessed with football players huh
The Mooch: i was... expecting him to spill some tea on Trump. His bigotry will really get out once he enters the house.

I’m still amused that we have five DWTS alumni, let alone two from the same season (Jonathan & Lolo).

Posted by: Liаm 23rd January 2019, 10:04 AM

I've only seen the first episode but first impressions:

Ryan: seems like he could be good, kinda daddy, he might be the one who ends up getting cocky as time goes on and he's in a good position
Natalie: love her already, I think she could be a strong competitor and I hope as a fan she plays it right to put her in even better stead.
Tom: hilarious, I was cackling at his testicle jokes and "sandwich" laugh.gif
Lolo: There's something I just don't like about her I can't quite pinpoint, can she please not be an Angela
Kato: what a pointless and dull casting, he offered absolutely nothing
Tamar: QUEEN. She's going to bring it and I'm here, I think Kandi is more likely to kamikaze and blow up her game than Tamar, hopefully anyway.
Joey: seems a nice enough guy, I'm not hugely excited about him though
Dina: potentially great TV, "I only chose Anthony because I didn't know anyone else's name" rotf.gif
Jonathan: cute, seems pretty fun but I feel like he'll get annoying in like 2 or 3 more episodes....
Kandi: if her and Tamar are gonna feud, as I said I feel like she'll come off worse and blow up more than Tamar would.
Ricky: meh
Anthony: I hope he spills some tea on Trump, it was great when Omarosa did that last season and BB bizarrely had some political clout.

Posted by: Aaron. 23rd January 2019, 11:11 AM

I think it is highly possible that Jonathan will get on all of our nerves. He's either going to pull a Shannon and be out early or pull a Ross and make it to the end. Also, stop mentioning Mean Girls. It was cute for a minute but stop please.

At this point I'd rather have Ryan around over Jonathan. Sure, Ryan is stupid AF, but partner him with someone that can actually play the game and he can beast it to the end and come 2nd. I'm fine with that. Also LOLed at Tom's comment - "those are nice shorts, do they come in mens?"

I'm also here for the Lolo/Natalie alliance. I've only seen Lolo in The Challenge. I had no idea she was a thirsty RTV queen.

Less Jonathan. More Tom and Anthony please. I really just hope the Football Player goes up and goes home first. Everyone else has a purpose.

Posted by: Riser 24th January 2019, 04:11 AM

I think if Jonathan doesn't pull a Shannon he'll pull a James Maslow, so not all the way to the end but close. I'm already tired of him after 3 episodes which is even faster than I got tired of James last year laugh.gif

I was NOT expecting so much tension tonight, or to see alliances self-destruct already!!!

Posted by: Klaus 24th January 2019, 10:48 PM

omg when they were discussing their final two in front of Tamar!!

Posted by: Aaron. 25th January 2019, 04:56 PM

I think Jonathan is pretty much toast soon, if not this week. It would be interested to see if the Girls can actually work together and get the votes together.
Living for Tamar so far. Really disappointed in Kandi TBH.

The Anthony Twist is just lame. I wonder if he just got bored and asked to leave and centered the twist around him.
Jonathan going this early is quite the shock, but, I really think we are going to forget he was even there. I think this season will be really good.
Julie spilling all to Anthony means there isn't a comeback twist. Not that there would be, but, it would be nice if there would be!

HAPPY KANDI STAYED I GUESS.

i think jonathan just did too much too soon. it was obvious to a lot of the houseguests that he was controlling the game even though he wasn’t even hoh. it’s like getting people to do your dirty work and slipping through the net, yet people sussed him out.

i love kandi. idkw but her voice is so calming! i want her to record audiobooks or something

Posted by: Riser 26th January 2019, 02:18 PM

I'm impressed they pulled the votes together to take out Jonathan! Was wondering if they'd actually target Joey but this turned out way better. Ryan ended up with a very Cody-esque HOH week with all those nominees. Great first week overall so hopefully those aren't signs of a BB19 trajectory laugh.gif

Pretty lame of them to hype the Mooch as a houseguest only to reveal he actually wasn't one. That's the only disappointment so far really!

Posted by: jakewild 26th January 2019, 06:46 PM

p.s. is it worth watching last years season? ive only got into it this year so just wondering

Yeh, the last Celebrity BB was the best US series in years!

This one though has jumped the shark faster than ever before (and faster than most BBUK series too!!) with that Mooch 'twist' and second POV. I really really really do not think the intention was for him to not be a housemate. He clearly wanted out (potentially cos he was losing) and so I guess the fairest thing to do was run the POV again. If that was the intention from the beginning, there's no reason to hide it from viewers and also there was no reason for him to even be there in the first place - what did he do?? laugh.gif

Posted by: J▲hq 27th January 2019, 01:20 PM

It was a very shit 'twist', to not clue viewers in beforehand and he got hardly any screentime so what was the point, but I don't really buy that it was a cover-up for a quit. How long would the veto comp with all the headlines have taken to make and build? unsure.gif

Posted by: Klaus 27th January 2019, 03:22 PM

Not very long I imagine, it was a very very simple task.

Alsp, there was no purpose to him being mole, he didn’t do anything, there were no secret challenges etc. Also, he would have had the opportunity to say goodbye to everyone if he was actually always intended to ‘not be a houseguest’. His diary rooms at the end were green-screened in I think. He definitely quit or something else unplanned happened

Posted by: Aaron. 29th January 2019, 02:10 AM

Ryan's eviction is a big loss. Sure, Jonathan I can get over.. but Ryan's eviction is a little bitter.
You always worry when you lose big characters like Ryan and Jonathan so early. I don't think we have too much to worry about.. but we will see I guess.
It's funny, Jonathan went at the perfect time, I had enough of him. To be honest I would have preferred Tamar to go tonight. Playing the victim isn't a good look.

Posted by: Aaron. 29th January 2019, 02:16 AM

Also - 'Power of the Publicist" - I think Tom/Kato will split the vote and cancel each other out. Obviously Joey's edit leaves us to believe he's in danger, so he's definitely in the running. Dina's going to get a lot of the LGBTQ/Throw Away votes, and Tamar is basically front and center, so I think it's between those three. Joey has the edge for sure.

Posted by: J▲hq 29th January 2019, 02:44 PM

I'm sad that Ryan went, but it's far too early for Tamar to go. She's up there for me with legends such as Rachel, Da'Vonne and Ika.

I get the appeal of Tamar, I really do... But comparing her to Rachel/Da'Vonne/Ika is blasphemy.
Those three ladies were running the house (at times), Tamar ain't running anything.
Don't get me wrong, I'm completely open to Tamar playing the game ... But until that happens she hasn't come close to those three.

Posted by: La Vie En Code 30th January 2019, 07:03 PM

omg these last two eliminations. As a DWTS fan I’m crying.

I’M SO OVER LOLO. You can tell that those last two eliminations were her targeting them over envy and spite. Plus she goes off on everyone and tires to make us believe that Tamar is the belligerent one?

Posted by: La Vie En Code 31st January 2019, 02:06 AM

YES TAMAR GOT THE POWER. With how many times Tom and Kato have her name in their mouths she needs it.

Speaking of which, the nom speeches have really sucked this season. Maybe it's because there's not that much time in the season?

Posted by: La Vie En Code 9th February 2019, 02:55 AM

"I vict to evote Tom"

I love Dina

Posted by: Aaron. 9th February 2019, 03:21 AM

We actually had the chance to have a complete Female house. Had Tom not vetoed Ricky and he went, no doubt Tom still would have gone. This would have been completely unprecedented.

Posted by: Liаm 9th February 2019, 12:16 PM

Kandi or Tamar to take this plz. Imagine a black female final 2, with the story and journey they've had *.* This whole season has been a mess so while Tamar needs to zip it sometimes, she's managed to stay in a good position because of the chaos.

Just PLEASE not Lolo puke.gif By far my least fave and the only one I've really disliked through the whole thing bar Jonathan being really annoying by before the end of episode 2 laugh.gif I'm sad that Tom went, he was playing HARD though and causing chaos so it was always hanging over him he could be cut next if he didn't win a comp. Ricky is just there but I kinda stan Dina just floating along.

Posted by: jakewild 9th February 2019, 12:42 PM

tamar not using the veto was SUCH a good move on all counts. she has to win

Posted by: Handmade Heaven 10th February 2019, 11:34 AM

omg is this what happens when you don't fill the house with racists?

I love how hard the celebrities are playing yet again - I do feel part of it is down to the shorter timescale, which probably increases the paranoia as alliances are continually shifting with the quick changes of power and decisions are also having to be made quicker. Normal BB does run on for too long - recent years have shown that once you get to the final 8/9, it draaaaaaags.

Posted by: Handmade Heaven 10th February 2019, 02:37 PM

how is Kandi always in the tweet room ‘tweeting’ but nothing is on her account? laugh.gif

I know the ‘tweeting’ is actually sent to a producer to pass onto the delagated Twitter account holder so maybe she’s just sending lots of messages to her family. It’s just every episodes she’s there by the tablet laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 13th February 2019, 04:44 PM

This series has been brilliant, I really liked the last one but pretty much everyone this time has played and played pretty HARD (some of them too hard but that makes it entertaining af), other than Dina who's just sort of been there floating along, she's reminding me of Karen from BB Canada, I kind of stan. Making moves like backdooring Ryan and getting Jonathan out as the first two evictions made the season so exciting and genuinely you never knew where things were going to go. Tom's game was so so entertaining, it was total chaos and very nearly could have paid off laugh.gif Joey was also kind of terrible, not knowing the game at all then thinking he was the biggest threat and that's why he was out rotf.gif

Tamar is that one rare housemate who is the most entertaining (along with Tom) who has also been the best player. Seeing bits from feeds and following it on Twitter, she doesn't miss a beat, knows this game inside out and takes every opportunity to set herself in better stead. She might have veered into hot mess at times, but she's always turned it back around. She could not deserve to win more, this game isn't all about winning comps and making big moves, she's won when she needed to but what makes a winner is the small social moves she is constantly making, she thinks about every move in a way that's so clever. I never expected that her and Kandi could be top 2 but I'd be so here for it. Ricky or Lolo winning would be a real shitty end to a great series, Lolo is just a horrible person who blows up at the slightest thing.

Posted by: Aaron. 13th February 2019, 05:11 PM

Unfortunately I have a differing opinion on the season as a whole, mostly from an episode construction and editing point of view.
The episodes were very scattered. You never really knew when it was going to be on and at times there was too much of a gap between episodes.

An example was the Tamar HOH, she was HOH for two days while Tom was HOH for 5? Her HOH was also very rushed, but probably could have been the best. I wanted to see her drunk with power.

I also don't believe for a second Anthony was a fake housemate. They would have mentioned this episode one. He obviously wanted to leave and they had to do damage control.

Lolo was also a huge disappointment and unfortunately horrible to watch and completely ruined the season for me. I had high hopes since I had seen her on The Challenge, but she was frantic and uncomfortable to watch. Sure, she brought Drama but this ultimately led to a few good people leaving early. I'd rather have Ryan in the house over Dina/Ricky anyday.

I did however do a 180 on Tamar. No, she isn't in the QUEEN catagory like Rachel/Janelle but she surprised me with her push at the end of the season and was great to watch! Kandi was also a surprize, she was edited to be a bit of a dud the first few weeks, but I have confidence that she was probably playing just as well the first few weeks and this wasn't really shown.

I love that most, if not all came to play, that was lacking last year. Tom/Kato was also great to watch. Infact, most of the housemates apart from Lolo were at one time or another enjoyable.. but again, very scattered with the editing and the episode airings. This really let the season down.

Posted by: Liаm 13th February 2019, 05:22 PM

Tbh when it's short, it should be on daily like our CBB, I know that US TV is a bit segmented into "seasons" and "mid-season" but I'm sure they could work it out. They do have to rush it a bit when they need so many evictions in a short time.

For the main seasons, I think it should be say 6 weeks or so. Definitely longer than this, but the short and fast paced game is great compared to normal BBUS, which really drags once you get past the halfway mark and whichever side is in power is inevitably steamrolling.

Posted by: Handmade Heaven 13th February 2019, 07:49 PM

I definitely prefer the quicker CBB seasons than the last 6 or so weeks of a normal BBUS season often draaaaaag so SO much

production could barely pace 12 HG’s in a month, how the hell are they gonna do 16 in 6 weeks?

The thing is though, promoting CBS All Access is slowly emerging as a focal point now that streaming has increased in usage and power, and airing it daily would negate the use of that now that domestic BB fans have two seasons per year instead of one. It’s the pacing that needs to improve.

The normal 10-week season drags because it’s not filmed in advance like most reality shows that aren’t talent competitions with live voting. If you watch The Bachelor, they follow a strict format yet production manages to fit in so much content in a given week, and part of that comes from the show being filmed in advance. With Big Brother, everything is live, and there’s only so much editing production can do to appease both casuals (who only get three hours out of an average of 112) and live feeders (who have seen it all at the time of eviction), if there is any overpowering content at all. And that airs a longer time per week. So the problem is finding a balance between a long time to digest with an inadequate amount of content or a large amount of content without enough time to digest it all.

I liked the idea of a two-night premiere and then two-ish evictions per week, but it also seemed like some HOH reigns lasted much longer than others (*cough* Tom *cough*), and dividing it is already a stretch with there being only 7 days to fit in. Probably have Thursday-Saturday be one cycle and then Sunday-Wednesday be another one. First day airs eviction aftermath and HOH, second day is live veto & vote. And since there’s less time in between cycles, there’s less filler when we get down to the wire.

Posted by: Liаm 14th February 2019, 01:04 AM

I'd rather it was paced a bit badly and rushed than the absolute drag that we get from normal seasons laugh.gif If they sorted out the pacing etc., I think they could easily cut the main series down a bit, it may take a couple more Celeb series to make that work though.

As for tonight, I'm unsure what to predict, hopefully Tamar comp beasts what will surely be a mental comp for the final HOH and can get to final 2 because she's played the hell out of this season. After Marissa winning last year, I could see any of them winning but that's half the fun.

I'm almost certain Tom will get AFP, probably with Ryan and then one of Kandi or Tamar in the top 3 also?

SHE f***ING WON ASHAKJADKJADKLAS UNANIMOUS VOTE!!!

I was SO shook Ricky took Tamar to the end tho!! If that didn't cost him the game (he'd have beat Dina), his abysmal jury question segment did laugh.gif I'm so so shook my pre-season fave actually won, but it could not be more deserved wub.gif She gave us entertainment, memes, a bit of hot mess and she played every single second of that game right until the end without f***ing anyone over. I might just be in the euphoria, but she's up with the best female players surely? Incredible social game, she was always there making sure she didn't miss a single beat or a chance to further herself in the game and that's something we really don't see enough of. She had that perfect mix of playing hard but not being aggressive and alienating people. Maybe that's just what I prefer in a player, but she was hot headed enough to be entertained yet clearly the 9 votes speak for themselves, she never let it get in the way of her game and always got it back o ntrack.

Plus she's making history as the first black winner, and one eviction vote away from a perfect game, what an incredible player. Also yas at my other fave winning AFP, this season ended perfectly!!

AHSAUHSAJSAHKJS IM SO HAPPY HOW DO I SLEEP NOW

(it feels bloody weird to be so elated over BBUS, like even with Kaycee it was more "thank god it wasn't Angela, JC or Tyler" lmao)

Posted by: La Vie En Code 14th February 2019, 04:35 AM

omg around the end of the first eviction I was live-blogging and said that if Tamar or Ricky didn’t win then there was something wrong. move over seven, mystic cody is in the HOUSE

For real though, they were such a deserving final 2. Tamar had an amazing social game, played both sides well, and even managed to control the house at one point without even having any power (other than the publicist thingy of course). Meanwhile Ricky stayed in his own lane for the most part but was devious when he needed to, he set the right traps, he cleared his tracks well, and he played it with as much integrity as he could inject. After he dissolved Jonathan’s alliance before it even started, it had been a near flawless rat game.

I do not regret who I stanned, I grew to love Kandi, she controlled the house along with Tamar, and Dina being absolutely clueless about everything made my day, she was BB20 Sam should have been. I had been Team Tamar and Team Ricky for the duration of the season (mostly the former) and I’m so glad that things ended up the way the did. Lolo made it waaay too far tho

Posted by: Riser 14th February 2019, 05:42 AM

I wasn't expecting much from this season based on the houseguests but it really doesn't matter who they are when everyone comes to play, which is certainly what we got. The big threats were constantly getting evicted and yet we still ended up with strong players at the finale because there was barely anyone floating. With some big personalities leaving early (plus the stupid Mooch "twist") the season easily could've gone downhill, thankfully it didn't. I'm happy for Tamar winning over Ricky, amazed that she got a unanimous vote, and even more pleased for Tom winning AFP wub.gif
