Sunday Chart Predictions
Predicting the 10/05 to 16/05 chart

After taking over at the last minute to hit #1, OMI's 'Cheerleader' is heading for another week on top, although a first at #1 on sales as Wiz Khalifa held that position for a third time last week. New to the top 10 should be Blonde's second single 'All Cried Out', featuring the vocals of Alex Newell, and Skrillex, Diplo and Justin Bieber's 'Where Are Ü Now' which has been climbing fast over previous weeks. New entries elsewhere may include Disclosure's 'Bang That', Tove Lo's 'Talking Body', M.O's 'Preach' and Snoop Dogg's 'Peaches N Cream'.

Possibly on track to become the first album of 2015 to pass 100k sales in a week, Mumford & Sons' new album Wilder Mind is pretty certain to hit #1. Possibly accompanying them in the Top 10 could be Django Django with their second album Born Under Saturn whilst JME's Integrity, Lucy Spraggan's We Are, My Morning Jacket's The Waterfall, Ciara's Jackie, Palma Violets' Danger in the Club, Andreya Triana's Giants and S Club 7's Best: The Greatest Hits are possible Top 40 contenders.

Sam and Ed will be securely back in the top 10, if not both top 3 by the end of the week with both albums available for 99p on Google Play.

Hurrah for Tove Lo! It'll be great if she can stay top 15.

Oops at M.O though...Very heavy support, and they might miss the top 40...

Pleased for Blonde, I really love the song, hoping they'll fall to #4 though, as I'd like Carly to manage another week at #3 - Even though 3/4 sales are probably close, her streaming is a lot better so I can see her taking #3 again.

Good result for CiCi; higher than her self-titled release which started out at 31.

Ed and Sam would probably end up back in the top ten even without the Google Play deal and I'd imagine there are a few fanbase-centered new releases above them.

I do agree with this in principle, but Preach has been played everywhere and for an underground act looking to breakthrough you can't ask for much more. Artists like DJ Fresh & Wretch 32 are also on independent labels and that doesn't stop them having great success.

Maybe it could have done with being held back another week or two. Also, this would be their first top 40, so I doubt they'd consider it a flop. laugh.gif

Great to see JME's album doing so well! Don't @ Me is a tune.

Aren't DJ Fresh and Wretch 32 signed to MoS? As I was saying about the label issue, it's the same thing with Lethal Bizzle. "Fester Skank" was the first single to be released by a major label and it's managed more than one week in the top 40 unlike his other singles except "Pow"

They are, but MoS is an independent label! I've mentioned this with Lethal Bizzle before, you can really see the benefit of major label backing with how Fester Skank is holding up. Rariworkout achieved the same peak last August but left the chart a week later.

With Preach, it is a massive achievement for an act on an independent label to get Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss and Capital support for a song, especially to get on Capital's playlist pre-release. I'm sure they'll get signed on the back of this success.
