Based one of my favourite Stephen King books. Hopefully a faithful adaptation!
"11/22/63 is about a time traveler who attempts to prevent the assassination of President John Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy, which occurred on November 22, 1963."
Hulu ordered this back in September and it's just been announced that James Franco is to star. Excellent!
I've had the book for ages, but never got round to reading it - but now with this news I might? Heard good things about the book, but never really had that drive to pick it up and start reading.
Anyone started watching?
Watched the pilot last night and loved it!
I'm quite interested in this.
Is it released episodically or is the whole thing available already?
Cheers! I will check it out. I'll probably wait for the run to finish though.
Looking forward to this, JFK is also to be transmitted at some point
In the feature length premiere episode, we meet Jake Epping. Burned out and lost, his ex-wife has moved on, his students are always distracted, and his
novel has gone nowhere. Then one of his dearest friends, Al Templeton (series star Chris Cooper), shows him the 'rabbit hole', a secret time portal that
leads back to 1960. Al asks Jake to head back to the past and create a better world by stopping the Kennedy assassination. So he heads down the rabbit
hole to begin his mission, but finds that changing the past is far more dangerous than he ever would have dreamed.
sounds good.. if anyone wants to watch it it's showing on FX
though you can probably find it online too
Finally started watching this and it's REALLY good.
Watched the first episode tonight - very good!
It's on demand on sky at present for anyone that's interested!
I quite enjoyed the first few episodes of this but then realized it was going down a path that wasn't quite what I'd hoped for. It was very well done and Franco holds it all together well. I just feel a change of focus would have appealed to me more.
I still think about this and still recommend it to friends. Excellent television.
