Picture:
- Toy Story 3

With Harry Potter in 2nd place I think. Could easily be switched around. I'm also gonna say Easy A could be the most likely to pull off an upset win!
---

Actor:
Kick Ass - Aaron Taylor-Johnson

I think this could be a landslide? Maybe Jesse will come 2nd?
---

Actress:
Easy A - Emma Stone

This will be a lot closer I feel, but I'm calling a slight upset with Emma Stone beating out Sandra and J Law!
---

Supporting Actor:
Easy A - Penn Badgley

Another upset for Easy A I think. I think Andrew Garfield will come 2nd with Nicholas Cage finishing 3rd?
---

Supporting Actress:
Kick Ass - Chloe Grace Moretz

Hmm.. a hard one. But imma say Chloe will win in a very close battle with her, Amanda Bynes and Helena B-C.
---

Director:
Inception - Christopher Nolan

Christopher Nolan should get this, but Lee Unkrich will be the closest to preventing that I think.
---

Animation:
Toy Story 3

I'd imagine a very easy win for TS3. Although, with this sites Shrek stans, that could cause a potential upset, I'm optimistic it won't though!
---

Voice Performance:
Shrek Forever After - Eddie Murphy

Tough one between Eddie, Steve and Tom. I want Tom to win, but I think Eddie will edge him out? Possibly down to 2nd preference votes?
---

Script:
Toy Story 3

Can't actually call this one between TS3, Inception and Harry Potter as I think any 3 of them could realistically win this!
---

Song:
Anika Noni Rose "Almost There" (The Princess & the Frog)

Hmm.. overall, quite a weak year. But, I think Princess & The Frog could take this one.

Some really tough categories! A hard year to predict I think.

BEST SONG

01. Kick Ass - Mika - Kick Ass (We Are Young) (4,1)
02. StreetDance3D - N-Dubz feat. Bodyrox - We Dance On (3,3)
03. The Princess & The Frog - Anika Noni Rose - Almost There (3,2)
04. Alice In Wonderland - Avril Lavigne - Alice (1,4)

Our first award of the night goes to Kick Ass - will it be able to win any more of its seven nominations tonight? (oops at me literally managing to keep this sentence exact from Josh's awards as everything for Slumdog Millionaire applies to Kick Ass!!). This was SUCH a close category with the winner keep on changing around. Oops at this going completely wrong for me personally though, my favourites would be turning the entire thing upside down as Alice just edges out Almost There as my fave followd by We Dance On! Would have been quite funny to see the completely now irrelevant (I acc loved it at the time but keep forgetting it exists) StreetDance3D winning an Oscar here! StreetDance is the only film with its sole nomination in song so the rest of the films have bigger chances to pick something up later!

Not sure what I'll be doing today because I really need to get working on my essay ASAP but I'll definitely be checking in on the results when I can.

Oops at my least favourite song winning that category though. "Almost There" is so uplifting and makes me happy when listening to it so I wish that had won sad.gif

BEST SCRIPT

01. Toy Story 3 (6,2)
02. Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows pt. 1 (3,3)
03. Kick Ass (1,3)
04. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (1,0)
05. Inception (0,3)

Our next award goes to Toy Story 3 in a pretty much landslide as it picks up over 50% of the votes! A fantastic winner and a masterpiece of a film, the script really is beyond incredible & the last 10 minutes are something else. One of my favourite scripts ever and SUCH a deserving winner <3 In 2nd place is Harry Potter which always seems to do best in the script categories with us and this is followed by Kick Ass in bronze position. The only film not to pick up a first place choice was Inception, which alongside TS3 was the only script here actually nominated for the Oscar!

Ahh. Thought Inception would get a few 2nd place votes and little to none first place votes. TS3 is really deserving though. SO much heart!

BEST VOICE PERFORMANCE

01. The Princess & The Frog – Anika Noni Rose (4,2)
02. Despicable Me – Steve Carrell (4,1)
03. Shrek Forever After – Eddie Murphy (2,1)
04. Toy Story 3 – Tom Hanks (1,5)
05. Shrek Forever After – Mike Myers (0,2)

Now time for a bit of a shocker it seems as one of the only two voice performance Jonjo didn't mention in his predictions wins here! Anika Noni Rose pulls off the win here for her fab performance as Princess Tiana and she beats Steve Carrell by 1 vote for Despicable Me! Steve was my first choice to win and he was originally doing horrific in this as I was his only voter for ages but he shot up with the last few voters & nearly took the win! Gru is iconic af *.* Anyway the Shrek duo take third and fifth and I can see both doing better in future archive Oscars and despite a barrel of 2nd place preference voters, Tom Hanks fails to crack the top 3 for his reprisal of the classic Woody <3

BEST ANIMATION

01. Toy Story 3 (7,2)
02. The Princess & The Frog (2,2)
03. How To Train Your Dragon (2,1)
04. Despicable Me (0,3)
04. Shrek Forever After (0,3)
06. Megamind (0,0)

However unlike the voice performance category, the animation category here is completely landslided by the classic Toy Story 3 which scores seven first preference votes! A deserved win & an animated classic <3 Into silver we have TP&TF overperforming again, who knew it had such a fanbase on buzzjack? Anyway TP&TF scored 2nd place by one 2nd preference vote, meaning that the overrated rubbish took bronze position ahead of 3 other better animated films. Surprisingly Despicable Me & Shrek Forever After got no first preference votes, Minions & Shrek haters win. I'm acc shocked both of them did that badly as I thought they'd complete the top 3 alongside Toy Story 3! In dead last place, scoring 0 votes altogether is Megamind which is a fab film but a bit out of its depth in a mostly very strong line-up! This is the first of 3 occasions tonight that a nominee has picked up 0 votes, who will be the other two? ohmy.gif

BEST DIRECTOR: part 1.

03. Kick Ass – Matthew Vaughn (0,7)
04. The Town – Ben Affleck (0,2)
05. The Social Network – David Fincher (0,0)

The former winners don't do too well here! Fincher definitely won for Gone Girl and I think Affleck won for Argo iirc (if not he's definitely won for actor for Gone Girl as well!). However despite the critical acclaim & being the only director here nominated for the Oscar, Fincher fails to score even a 2nd preference vote ohmy.gif Ben Affleck also underperforms and despite not getting one first place vote, Matthew Vaughn picks up SEVEN 2nd place votes which is definitely something I've not seen happen before!

That means all 11 votes are split between Christopher Nolan & Lee Unkrich. Who's won?! Predict and I'll reveal x
