Ladies,

Nineteen of you submitted your rates and eleven of you ranked your 10-15 favourite LIP SYNC FOR YOUR LIFE battles of all time and the results are in.

After a long night of hooking... your votes have been compiled, some queens finished surprisingly high and made you eat it, but for some queens, it was a case of "not today".

Are we ready? Absolutelyyyy.

______

Starting with the Lip Sync For Your Life countdown...

____________________________________________________

With 11 votes, there's bound to be plenty of lip sync battles at the bottom of the pack that pick up odd points here and there. We have a few more recent lip syncs here from Alaska's little heel to Robbie Turner's bulb smashing roller wheels - these are undoubtedly some wow moments from the last couple of seasons but the lip syncs as a whole weren't huge standouts of their series. We see a trio of Alexis Mateo lip syncs here, against Stacy Layne Matthews, Shangela and Raven respectively throughout her stints of Season 3 & All Stars 1. Stacy herself finds her way into the countdown a second time, with her victory of India Ferrah.

Elsewhere, we have some big favourites who were put through the 'Lip Sync For Your Life' process once or twice - Adore Delano features for the first time after her manic gospel showdown to Aretha Franklin's 'Think' against Joslyn Fox. Elsewhere, Detox's first stint of her iconic mouth wiggle, the 'Take Me Home' lip sync against gorgeous Lineysha Sparx, gets her just 3pts despite two people putting it in their top 15.

The controversial 'Dreaming' which saw Pearl knock out season favourite Trixie Mattel early on in the series got 3pts from Leonardo which was enough to slot it in this list of 42 lip syncs, alongside Vivacious & April Carrion's shaking up of a Selena Gomez lesser known track. Finally, 1pt for Ginger Minj's scissor cutting conjoined twins performance also throws her in the mix.

____________________________________________________

Moving just outside of the top 20, we're moving closer to some lip sync heavyweights. We have somersaults galore at #21 with Chi Chi DeVayne and Naysha Lopez's take on Ariana Grande's Break Free, while similarly acrobatic Shangela pulls up the rear end in her Season 2 elimination battle with Sahara Davenport. Covergirl also finds representation at #27 where Bebe & Nina battled it out to be crowned the first ever winner of RuPaul's Drag Race, resulting in a thoroughly entertaining fight to the death. This couldn't be much different to the damp squib which was Akashia vs Tammie Brown in the same series which saw the latter awkwardly dance along to Michelle Williams' 'We Break The Dawn' clearly not knowing the words... in front of Michelle herself. Never the less, she was reduced to tears at the sight of Akashia actually knowing one of her songs. Still, it's the highest represented Season 1 lip sync thanks to 152Chris so it clearly stayed with us.

There's a double dose of Raven to be found here, both from her hard fought Season 2 run - one of which she won, destroying Nicole Paige Brooks in the process in just the second week of the competition. However, she powered on through to find herself just a whisker away from winning but amidst some weak death dropping (or death reclining, as the case may be), it wasn't to be as Tyra Sanchez beat her to the crown after an impressive 'Jealous Of My Boogie' rendition. On the topic of double representation, there's also two All Stars 2 showings here. Alyssa & Detox's throwback 'Tell It To My Heart' performance is the higher of the two but is certainly far away from being the highest showing for either of the two queens, while Katya & Alaska's second appearance in the shape of rock classic 'Cherrybomb' finds itself at #29.

Finally, we have two very closely fought lip sync battles that could've gone either way (and in one instance, it did) in terms of who won. Round One of Bendela vs Darienne resulted in both queens being saved after some impressive popping left, right and centre and that's enough to drop them in at #25, while Round Two's lip sync to Kelly Clarkson's 'What Doesn't Kill You' fails to pick up any points. Last of all, we have Jaidynn Diore Fierce taking on Kandy Ho - while none of them did a great deal to impress in the competition, they both knew how to turn out a pretty fantastic lip sync and 'Break Free' was enough to impress FOUR out of the eleven voters, but they never amounted to anything more than 3pts (as provided by me). In spite of some impressive ponytail whipping from Kandy Ho, it wasn't enough to keep her around against dancing diva Jaidynn.

I do think Kandy beat Jaidynn in that lip synch. However at this point, Kandy had been in the lip synch 3/6 times and I think was bottom 3 a further time on top of that, so really had to go.

16-20

16 | Katya vs Sasha Belle - Twist Of Fate / 029
17 | Latrice Royale vs Dida Ritz - I've Got To Use My Imagination / 025
18 | Latrice Royale vs Kenya Michaels - Natural Woman / 023
19 | Coco Montrese vs Jade Jolie - I'm So Excited / 019
20 | Sharon Needles vs Phi Phi O'Hara - It's Raining Men / 017

____________________________________________________

Into the top 20 we go and just teetering it's way in somehow, we find Season 4's arch nemeses Sharon Needles & Phi Phi O'Hara who took on RuPaul & Martha Wash's 'It's Raining Men' which was somewhat overshadowed by Willam's removal from the competition meaning that both queens stayed. It was the only time either queens had to lip sync and we can confidently file Phi Phi O'Hara next to Raven in the folder of "should not try and death drop" from here onwards.

Coming out at #19, we have a drop of Coco Montrese and you guys had plenty of choice to go for when it comes to Coco lip syncs as she appeared in FOUR of them throughout her series. Her lip syncs against Detox & Monica Beverly Hillz failed to make the cut but the energetic Pointer Sisters number gave Coco an opportunity to throw all her energy into one hell of a performance which left Jade Jolie flapping, from every limb... which hair coming out of each of them. Rumour has it, Jade wore that outfit because the lip sync was meant to be for 'Whip My Hair' (which was saved for Roxxxy vs Alyssa later in the series) which makes a bit more sense but it's still an ugly ass outfit.

It's double Latrice Royale and her soulful juices at #17 & #18 but it's the more energetic of the two, 'I've Got To Use My Imagination' against Dida Ritz which really took us to church and gave Ms Royale her highest placing here. Just a place beneath was her second shot in the ring against Kenya Michaels - now while energy usually correlates to a win, the sheer power of the lyrics meant that Latrice could just stand in one spot and deliver every lyric to her unborn child like the song was her own (how Louis Walsh of me). An unconventional approach but when it came to feeling the song, Latrice was the one running rings around Kenya, who even resorted to whipping her wig off to gain victory. Bad move.

Finally, at #16, we have Katya's third appearance in the list but albeit, still not her last. It was the first time she found herself having to lip sync for survival in the competition, in just the second week after messing up her Glamazonian Airways piece. Facing Sasha Belle, there was no denying that Katya beat her vagina into the stage so hard that she left RuPaul so shook, he had no other choice but to put her through. And thank goodness he did. Slow splitting, box jumping, she brought it all and it was enough to wow you into providing her a 16th place spot.

11-15

11 | Adore Delano vs Trinity K Bonet - Vibeology / 045
12 | Raven vs Jujubee - Dancing On My Own / 039
13 | Trinity K Bonet vs April Carrion - I'm Every Woman / 036
14 | Joslyn Fox vs Laganja Estranja - Stupid Girls / 035
15 | Jujubee vs Sahara Davenport - Black Velvet / 030

____________________________________________________

We're really getting to some of the lip syncing heavyweights here as we encounter a double dose of two queens, first of all Jujubee who firstly drops in at #15. Sahara's ballet shtick had run a little thin by the time Black Velvet came around and it didn't deliver the right amount of grunge to fit the tone of Black Velvet... but Jujubee brought it in the bucket loads. With smudged mascara to boot, Jujubee crawled her way through a sultry slow southern styled and into the final 6 of Season 2, once again proving that capturing the mood of the song is every bit as important as being able to kick and split for the gawds.

She appears again at #12, this time for a very memorable and emotional All Stars 1 performance. Team Rujubee had lost out on a place in the final as a duo (or so they thought) and the best friends were forced to compete against one another to Robyn's tear jerker 'Dancing On My Own' in what turned out to be one of the most emotional moments ever to appear on the show. Rumour has it, they'd had just a little too much alcohol backstage which likely didn't help but hand in hand singing the lyrics to one another amongst the pain of having to knock a friend out of the competition led to not a dry eye left in the building. Expect perhaps Chad, there's a lot of work going on there. As it turns out, nobody went home and RuPaul broke all the rules to make it a final four so it was all smiles in the end and it was most definitely the most memorable lip sync of the first All Stars.

The rest of the lip syncs belong to Season 6 which sure did bring some fantastic lip syncs. At #14, it's a split marathon as Laganja Estranja & Joslyn Fox duked it out to Pink's 'Stupid Girls' and all the YES GAWDS were very much warranted for this performance. Sometimes the magic comes when you perhaps don't expect it and these aren't necessarily two names you would assume would bring an incredible lip sync but Joslyn played Laganja at her own game by jumping into a split at the exact same time ahead of the final chorus in a moment that had everybody's jaws dropping. And evidently some of you too, as it was enough to push it into your top 15.

And now for a double dosage of Series 6's lip syncing queen Trinity K Bonet (who surprisingly missed out with her Whatta Man lip sync which was a pretty definite demolition of Milk). The first of which, falling in at #13, where Bonet knocked out popular Puerto Rican beauty April Carrion in a fierce diva battle to I'm Every Woman, saw Trinity work every inch of the stage while a defiant Carrion battled with a long dress that made it difficult for her to move at all. But both girls gave it everything they had and did the disco classic justice. It was Trinity who reigned supreme though and it's easy to see why such a good lip sync from both girls so early in the series set the standard for what was to be a fierce Season 6.

Lastly, at #11, Trinity K Bonet appears again, this time facing off against fan favourite Adore Delano - the third time in which the former had appeared. This fantastic lip sync completed the holy trinity of Paula Abdul 'Lip Sync For Your Life' moments (both of the others are still to come in the illustrious top 10) and was performed in front of Ms Abdul herself who was most familiar with Adore Delano out of drag, as Danny Noriega was a former popular IDOL contestants during Paula's stint as a judge on the popular reality show. Once again, both queens gave it absolutely everything they had in one of the most energetic lip syncs we've seen and it was always going to take a killer lip sync to take down Trinity, but Adore had charisma in abundance which was just enough to see Bonet and her flawless bird get-up sashay away.

06-10

06 | Alyssa Edwards vs Roxxxy Andrews - Whip My Hair / 079
07 | Delta Work vs Manila Luzon - Macarthur Park / 071
08 | Carmen Carrera vs Raja - Straight Up / 070
09 | Katya vs Kennedy Davenport - Roar / 063
10 | Morgan McMichaels vs Sonique - Two Of Hearts / 049

____________________________________

We're in with some of the best lip syncs of all time now with splits, flips and a little bit of kai kai action. Starting at #10, we have a very early lip sync from way back in Season 2 when both Morgan & Sonique absolutely smashed Stacey Q's 'Two Of Hearts' to pieces but using very different approaches. Morgan's slick moves caught every beat spot on and matched the disco feel of the track without barely even moving from original spot whilst Sonique brought immense energy with crazy cartwheels and splits which brought the shock value. Both approaches were a pretty great match for what was required but in the end, Morgan's dance precision won over Sonique trying to pull every trick out of the bag. But it was definitely one of the first times in Drag Race history that both queens in the lip sync really wowed you and created an unmissable moment in a bid to stay in the competition.

At #9, we have a massive favourite in Katya making her final appearance here after a jaw dropping lip sync against Kennedy Davenport to Katy Perry's 'Roar' which left our jaws hanging in awe at the incredible gymnastics on stage. Kennedy's approach was a little more manic than Katya's which proved to be the difference in the end as Kennedy prevailed after one hell of a split as she leapt off the stage in homage to her late drag sister Sahara Davenport. While many didn't feel that Season 7 had many highlights, this was undoubtedly one of them and sitting comfortably at #9, it would seem it was one of the biggest highlights of Drag Race history.

Back to Season 3 we go for the next two starting with a bit of queen on queen action - no, not more of Mimi Imfurst and her wrestling moves, instead we had Raja and Carmen Carrera putting on a sexy show for the judges to Paula Abdul's 'Straight Up'. Finishing 2nd out of 3 in the battle of Paula's Holy Trinity, Raja and Carmen put up a good fight, receiving votes from 9 out of the 11 voters and it's not difficult to see why. We'd never quite seen a lip sync like it, while queens usually battle against one another, these two almost used one another in a bid to outsex one another in something of a soft porno. Carmen was next to naked and Raja rivalled her in the sultry stakes by taking it down to her bra and knickers herself whilst landing a smacker on Carmen as she laid on top of her. This was to be Carmen's final hurrah and while she didn't impress with most of what she brought to the stage in Season 3, this was definitely a great way to leave her mark on the stage - butt first.

A second Season 3 representative falls at #7 aswell, this time when Manila Luzon and Delta Work faced up to one another after the comedy challenge. This couldn't have been further from the sexfest of Raja and Carmen Carrera however with a funnier aspect being what made this so memorable. Carmen's faces are immediate GIFable and brought everything camp that we love about RuPaul's Drag Race into one crazy ass lip sync which Manila Luzon won in style but not without a fight from close heather Delta Work. From the slow part of the song to the upbeat, every piece of emotion was felt and nailed to perfection so it's easy to see why it went down in history as one of the most memorable lip syncs of all time.

Lastly, we travel to Season 5 where we're hit with a dose of Alyssa Edwards who you'll be unsurprised to hear has plenty left to go in this rate despite the fact we've only got 5 lip syncs to go. But here we find ourselves at a lip sync where she probably didn't even deliver the most iconic part of it which is Roxxxy Andrews wig reveal. Usually when a queen takes their wig off during a lip sync, it's an immediate call for a SASHAY AWAY but when Roxxxy revealed a wig underneath a wig, the judges were left gagging. But Alyssa being Alyssa put up one hell of an impressive fight, throwing every wild move she could to ensure that she stayed. And sure enough she did - infact they both did in a double 'shantay you stay'. It takes a special lip sync for both queens to stay so it's no surprise to see it at #6 here.

the whip my hair lipsync gives me goosebumps - roxxxy's wig reveal / whipping down to the floor and alyssa's on the ground manic whipping - amazing!!!! all EXCELLENT lipsyncs there tbh

straight up is one of those ones where in raja's case she doesn't need to do much to kill it, but each move is so deliberate and SO right for the song
