Sounds quick, even faster than JLS Hope they do well, loved them on The X Factor. Read that they've flown to L.A. to start recording the album.

A wise decision not to leave them hanging until October/November, but still, very early release indeed.
I only have a small amount of shame to say that I'm rather looking forward to this. |

I actually liked JLS on XF, so was excited for their stuff, but I didn't like OD so am not excited. Song might be alright though, if I like it I like it.

I will wait to hear it before I make judgement, I hope its not a cover, knowing Syco, it could well be a cover- I didn't mind them on XF, the 'OMGZZ dey iz well fit' crowd always end up irritating me about this kind of act, but they were a decent boyband
I think even if their successful it will be more success on The Wanted's level than JLS' level |

That was quick. It'll be interesting to see what type of material they release. Most songs seem to be dance influenced nowadays..dance-pop-electro-hop, electro-pop etc.
I wonder what One Direction's sound will be like? This post has been edited by Nemo: 27th January 2011, 10:21 PM |

It'll be mainly covers, no doubt, but I'm hoping/fairly certain they'll be more covers in the E.M.D./Scandipop mould rather than covers in the Westlife mould...

Look forward to it, really hope that the first single isn't a cover (even though the album is bound to be at least 1/3 covers)

Here's hoping! I thought they were incredibly bland on X Factor and I almost had a breakdown when Simon called them 'the most exciting band in Britain' Yes and when eeeeejit Louis claimed they were the next Beatles All they seemed to do was mime and leave the odd bit of singing to Liam.It would be a travesty if they do well but the young girls of Britain are rather deaf and being fit means more than good vocals. |

I don't see why they'd do a lot of covers, especially after what happened to Joe McElderry. Isn't Simon meant to be throwing quite a bit of money at them, and getting some good producers to work with them?

They'll do more like JLS kind of a pop/R&B album than a Westlife like covers album, surely?

Considering we haven't heard this yet.. I'm guessing it has been pushed back or may be premiering on March 13th ?
I've seen a few posts on Digital Spy about how they have more fans, better personalities and will be more successful than JLS, but at the moment I really can't see it.. especially being signed to Syco. Although, they do both have the same management |

From The Sun:
JLS are helping their new rivals ONE DIRECTION reach the top of the charts by writing songs for them. ORITSE said: "The songs are going to be poppy and up-tempo to showcase their characters. What better people to write for a boyband than a boyband?" |
