You Are Not Alone

Looooove this album. Obviously a complete rip-off of the Pete Tong concept but I prefer a lot of the song choices on here - my favourites are L'amour Toujours, United (never even heard the original of this!), Das Boot and Rhythm Is A Dancer, all so good.
Interesting that Alex C is behind such a classily arranged album, seeing as he is also responsible for gems such as Sweetest Ass In The World and the 2009 Eurovision entry Miss Kiss Kiss Bang
UNITED
Original by Prince Ital Joe feat Marky Mark (1994)
Its funny how I was considering sending United last month on BJSC...the original one!!!
And actually I am impatienly waiting for Redemption cover
OK I have finally had chance to listen to some of these tracks and I am in love. I want the physical copy but I'm not paying nearly £20 for an import! So I hope it gets a proper UK release.
SONIC EMPIRE
Original by Members of Mayday (1997):
Big fan of the Rhythm Is A Dance cover.

The second volume of this album will be out on October 19th, recorded recently at Abbey Road studios, here's a trailer:
Oops at the video suggesting Alex C 'invented' the classical meets dance genre. Poor brave ripped-off Pete Tong.
Anyway, I'm really really excited to hear this, the first volume was one of my favourite albums of 2017. The tracklisting looks promising too, and quite surprising, currently trying to get my head around Melanie C singing what I presume is ATC's Around The World, seeing as Alex C wrote and produced the original of that track, and Anastacia belting out Mr Vain Medina on Listen To Your Heart could be quite gorgeous too.
Full tracklist:
1. Blue (feat Bars & Melody)
2. Around The World (feat Melanie C)
3. Another Night (feat Anastacia)
4. Because I Love You (feat Pietro Lombardi)
5. Mr. Vain (feat Anastacia & Ski)
6. Feels Like In Heaven
7. Don't Talk Just Kiss (feat Melanie C)
8. Sandstorm
9. Everybody's Free (feat Linda Teodosiu)
10. More and More (feat Beymarie)
11. Insomina (feat Ski)
12. Listen To Your Heart (feat Medina)
13. Something (feat Asja Ahatovic)
14. Adagio For Strings
Oh man this sounds amazing, can't wait!
Fairly certain it was Haçienda Classical that came first in terms of this whole sort of thing
First single coming on Friday
Bars and Melody
I’m intrigued by the Melanie C and Anastasia collabs. I wonder if Pete Tomg will release another album this year?
An orchestral version of 'Sandstorm' sounds pretty interesting.
Blue is out tomorrow!
Terrible as to be expected :’)
Oh dear
This is better! Melanie sounding amazing
!
Not into Blue but yasss at Around The World, omg at Melanie C singing this legendary slice of cheddar!
Another Night is out tomorrow
Another Night is probably the best so far. Anastasia sounding great!
A relatively ok album really. Opening with (or even including) Blue is disastrous Something and Freed From Desire are the clear highlights.
Because I Love You is the next track to receive a video
Ok my question is why is this called 90's classics when Something and Because I Love You are from different decades, or am I wrong?
No you’re right, quite a few of the tracks are from early 2000s
Hmmm, this is not as good as the first album, maybe the songs used are just more obvious this time as I quite liked a few of the lesser known 90s songs on the first edition. Or maybe the concept has just been done to death.
I like the Melanie C tracks, Another Night, Freed From Desire and Listen To Your Heart but not really as much as I loved the highlights from the first edition.
So many videos!
THIRD ALBUM INCOMING *.* Pete Tong found rotting
Never noticed before how similiar Linda's and Natasha voices are lol.
And are these successful in Germany after all...like it's gotta be since it's in 3rd edition and most of them have music video etc. etc. but I would like to know their chart performance?!
First album went to #10 in Germany and the second got to #4! The individual tracks haven’t had much impact at all but Rhythm Is A Dancer from the first album got to #6 on iTunes there in 2017.
That intro *.* and interesting to see them draw on Maggie Reilly’s original track
Album now available, must give it a spin at some point
Each one is less good than the last, I guess the material is drying up, but I still love the concept and enjoyed quite a few of the songs on here, especially Believe, Heaven (though DJ Sammy's version was not from the 90s), Wonderful Dream, Everytime We Touch and The Sign.
