So after delivering THE album of 2014 it turns out there won't be another 5 year wait for the next one, as she has begun writing the third album! QUOTE However, speaking in a new interview Jackson suggests that there will not be another extended wait for new music from La Roux. "I've been doing a bit of writing and realising where it's going, through it sort of telling me and then listening to music after that, rather than trying to put that music into my music," she says. The progression and transition from 'La Roux' to 'Trouble in Paradise' was incredible so i am hoping for yet more development for this. Let the insane excitement begin~ (*delayed until 2021*) |

There's a long way from ~working on an album~ to actually releasing it, so I'm not holding my breath, but I'm still excited! I hope we get at least 12 tracks this time, as 9 were clearly not enough.

I'm so sad and frustrated at the lack of support on the last album, but at the same time it's quite special to me and I'm glad I saw her perform it live. I will probably try and catch her again this weekend. <3

It's very special to me too. My favourite album of last year and it still sounds incredible. I was a little miffed at the lack of support for it but i stopped caring a few weeks into the campaign and just enjoyed the music. La Roux is no longer the force it was a few years back but thankfully the music is still 10/10 and they/she has lost none of the passion, talent and artistry.
I am also happy that this means another tour and yet more chances to see her live! |

'Bulletproof' was played on the radio the other day in the car with the sun shining; sounded SO good! 'In for the Kill' is also great but I think I prefer the other.

Have you heard the follow-up album? (I forget if you have/if you're a fan!) It sounds EVEN BETTER (or at least just as good) as songs from the debut in the sun After letting both albums settle for a few years I genuinely cannot separate them. The debut has more highs but 'Trouble in Paradise' has less fillers and it's much better produced. Both are sensational though and I still listen to them very often. La Roux is certainly very high up in my top 10 list of favourite artists of all time even with only 2.5 albums, so this album could not come any sooner. |

The debut has more highs but 'Trouble in Paradise' has less fillers and it's much better produced. I definitely agree with this. I remember hating the debut when it came out (I was 12 at the time, which is understandable, but I appreciate it more now and picked it up for like £2 second-hand). I remember hearing 'Uptight Downtown' and 'Let Me Down Gently' when 'Trouble in Paradise' came out and thinking something along the lines of "OH MY GOD THIS SOUNDS FANTASTIC!", so I swiftly went out and bought it. Definitely one of my faves of 2014. |

I'm sure I listened to it (I remember you being a fan at the time so you probably encouraged me to do so if I did not at my own accord! ), definitely heard 'Let Me Down Gently' and 'Uptight Downtown' as I seem to recall a bit of confusion over what was the official single. If I remember correctly, 'Let Me Down Gently' was just a promo/instant grat yet I much preferred it. I'll give both albums a listen when I get a chance! |

Listening back to 'La Roux' - 10 years on and it is still an incredible album. 'Trouble in Paradise' likewise stands out as one of my ultimate favourite albums of this past decade. 10/10 albums and I can't wait for a third. BRING IT ON.
