What are your predictions for the rest of this decade and the next one in terms of dominant genres of music in the charts. Surely the likes of future bass and tropical house will die out soon and new genres will start - in dance, will trance make a revival across Europe (as I think will happen) after tropical house given the fond memories of many of this type of music. Will the American dance music by the likes of Chainsmokers and DJ Snake delve deeper into the past of music in America and become more funky and soulful (I hope so). Will the success of 21 Pilots lead to more indie/alternative in the chart? Will R&B go back to the dancier styles of the early 00s (I hope so)? Will harder rock come back after a few years of acoustic dominance in chart guitar based music (I hope so too). And most importantly, will the chart speed up?
