 The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is rapidly approaching with rehearsals kicking off in less than two weeks! That only means one thing - the return of Buzzvision! LexC has, for some unfathomable reason, prioritised assignments over Buzzvision so has handed over hosting duties to me. This is the first time I've hosted this competition in full after taking over just for the final back in 2011 so it is all very exciting. Please send your votes to me Ryan. and voting will close on Thursday 5th May at 6pm BST. Results will then be presented the same evening. You can just vote in one of the semi-finals if you prefer, but please do your best to vote in both! We've given you just over two weeks ahead of the voting deadline, which is a little longer than normal, so there's plenty of time to listen to every song if you are not yet familiar with them. Or, if your prefer, you can join us for two official preview shows which will be hosted live on Dubtrack.fm where you will be able to listen to all of the songs as well as get to know the artists through short profile videos (if Eurovision.tv upload them all in time!). The provisional date for the first semi-final preview show is Saturday 30th April at 9.15pm BST and the second semi-final preview show will provisionally take place on Tuesday 3rd May at 8pm BST. Further information will be posted in this thread next week! I think I'm going to vote once my CD arrives on Friday (hopefully) so I can enjoy the preview shows without the pressure to vote! And then my final votes can incorporate what we see from rehearsals

Yaass. Not sure when I'll be voting in this but I'm pretty set on what is in and out of my top 10s in this semi. The difficulty is where to place the stuff that is on the IN pile

For the preview shows I've had a request to move the Sunday one, anyone that may want to turn up what days would work for you? Would Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th work for people?

Following dissertation deadline news I'm leaning towards Saturday 30th and Tuesday 3rd unless people are too busy living it up on Saturday nights!

Reminder that voting closes on May 5th which is just over a week so not too far away.More importantly, the Dubtrack preview shows are definitely happening on the following dates: Semi-Final 1: Saturday 30th April at 9.15pm BST Semi-Final 2: Tuesday 3rd May at 8pm BST So either wait for them and then vote or, if you won't be able to make it to one or both of the shows, get listening and voting now! |
