So far I've only heard the singles, I'm listening to mabels album rn and then i'll move to this one, but skinny dipping & vicious are some absolutely incredible songs and so i have high expectations!

i think the album starts out very well, gets to the middle and starts to get boring. But overall it's her strongest album yet.

Nonsense is currently blowing up on TikTok and chatting Top 30 in the US on Spotify and Top 100 in the UK!

Would love it so much if she can get a big hit out of this, one of my absolute favourite songs of last year.

So it appears the reason this suddenly took off the other week is not really TikTok virality (I think it was/is somewhat viral there too but that predates the sudden huge spike in streams) but more just that Spotify have apparently made some changes to their auto-play feature and this song is newly being heavily favoured in their algorithm which may or may not be due to payola (the latest Billboard Breakdown video claimed it is but I can't find a source that confirms that, just people speculating). That would explain why its sudden massive rise has been a Spotify exclusive phenomenon with it still not even entering the top 100 on Apple Music.

Also seen a suggestion that this may explain the sudden huge drop in streams for Stephen Sanchez too. It does appear that these two things happened within a couple of days of each other so not implausible. That's a bit of an oof if that much of his daily stream count was coming from auto-plays alone!

I have auto-play turned off on Spotify but I guess a lot of people don't (and it is on by default, had to dig in the settings to turn it off) ~

A UK/Europe tour set to be announced soon! Also a Nonsense remix due to come out soon - some saying it'll be Ariana! I would love that but idk how true it is.

I think 'Nonsense' will become a hit and it deserves to be. It's so catchy and I can't get it out of my head.

This does sound like a pretty blatant pastiche of Ariana's style so Ariana being on the remix would make sense!

I know there's been a very popular Nonsense dance challenge on Tiktok for the last month
But I thought it was a bit strange the song was only blowing up on Spotify and not Apple or Amazon, and also had some weird climbs
so might be that auto-play thing

Nonsense is #32 officially - it falling on Spotify has balanced out with it doing well on Apple Music now so hopefully a few more Top 40 weeks potentially but not likely to be the big hit initially thought.

In other news, she's announced a UK/Europe tour in June - I'm definetly going to the Manchester date wub.gif
