I mean, it looks a lot more trash than Scream originally was. I doubt it'll have any of the similar wit or brilliant writing, but I'll still be watching.

But not being able to use Ghostface mask or voice - big nono.

Posted by: ♡ Heezus Froot ♡ 9th June 2015, 10:11 AM

It looks abysmal. Won't be watching.

Posted by: barbaric_dan 10th June 2015, 11:50 AM

Is Scream Queens not the exact same show?

Posted by: LeeWallace 2nd July 2015, 04:39 PM

Disappointing opening ratings of 1.03m.

I was rather impressed by the opening episode.

Posted by: Silas 2nd July 2015, 04:57 PM

It is MTV tho. Hardly a ratings behemoth to begin with

Posted by: Regina 2nd July 2015, 05:14 PM

I mean, WTF is this shit?

I know but even Geordie Shore in the UK managed almost 1m per episode.

Posted by: Joe. 3rd July 2015, 12:01 PM

Full review please Lee, I'm gonna try to watch it tonight.

Official ratings, yes. Overnights, it gets about 500k.

The premiere was decent but nothing amazing. Ratings wise, if it stays steady, it will be renewed. MTV recently renewed Finding Carter which is getting 600k and a 0.3. huh.gif

Posted by: barbaric_dan 6th July 2015, 12:15 AM

I do love Scream's tongue-in-chic notion to the horror genre.

It was rather enjoyable

Posted by: Henderella 6th July 2015, 11:18 AM

The difference is that Finding Carter is great and this is trash.

Posted by: Joe. 16th July 2015, 10:18 PM

It's nothing like Scream really. But when taking it for the trash it is, it's quite entertaining. I'm enjoying it.

Posted by: harryflynn0908 16th July 2015, 10:48 PM

Quite like it not as great as screm but entertaining.

Shame Riley got killed off. < Don't read that if you havent watched the third episode yet as its a massive spoiler as to who dies.

Posted by: barbaric_dan 17th July 2015, 12:09 AM

I'm rather enjoying it. Apparently we won't even find out the killer by the end oif the series.

I'm not here for that.

Posted by: Froot. 19th July 2015, 05:10 PM

Oh I was considering watching this but maybe not if I'm not finding out the killer at the end of the series.

Posted by: Simon. 23rd July 2015, 07:27 AM

That's good though not knowing, adds to the suspense surely. This isn't bad so far.

Posted by: barbaric_dan 23rd July 2015, 08:13 AM

So my theory is the sheriff and his son. I'm assuming Brandon was frsmedbyears ago, possibly my Emma's father.

Posted by: Joe. 23rd July 2015, 08:25 AM

My theory is that is' the younger-looking geeky guy plus one of the jocks. I think the teacher will be a big suspect later on in the series and might get pulled in for it, but it won't be him.

Posted by: Simon. 23rd July 2015, 08:28 AM

There's something about the geeky guy I like kink.gif

Posted by: harryflynn0908 23rd July 2015, 08:30 AM

It would be too obvious being the geeky guy but I can see it being one of the Jocks so maybe of them and the Sheriff or his son.

Posted by: barbaric_dan 29th July 2015, 06:21 PM

Officially renewed.

Are Will & the brunette guy dating in real life? They have more chemistry than anyone else in this show? And the brunette guy is super femme...

Posted by: Jack 9th August 2015, 04:21 PM

This started off very good with three strong opening episodes but they made a big mistake in killing off Riley. She was easily the most likeable, I find most of them are sadly unlikeable or forgettable. At this stage, Brooke is my favourite.

I will probably continue with it I think.

Posted by: Ezra's Whore 9th August 2015, 04:53 PM

Yeah I think if you are gonna kill of a likable character don't kill them off right at the beginning because then you are left with ones you don't like.

Posted by: barbaric_dan 9th August 2015, 05:32 PM

But the longer a series is drawn out, the issue with killing anyone off seems annoying. Like Will in the last episode. I like his love scenes with Jake.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 19th August 2015, 01:00 PM

So after last nights episode the general internet theory is killers are Piper (also Emma's sister. Hello Scream 3) and Kieran. His disappearing act at thd bowling alley however people want to substitute Kieran for Noah as killer #2 however I think it's Jake. Of all the attacks we didn't see his

Posted by: LeeWallace 19th August 2015, 01:33 PM

I'm thinking Piper and Kieran.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 19th August 2015, 04:39 PM

I think Jake. We didn't see his attack.

Posted by: Ezra's Whore 20th August 2015, 06:44 PM

Piper and Jake. I mean we didnt see his attack kind of suspicious.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 20th August 2015, 06:57 PM

I do think He does care about Brooke tho.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 20th August 2015, 08:34 PM

I'm guessing Piper slashed her arm? Whoops!

Posted by: Jack 20th August 2015, 09:27 PM

I would love it to be a huge surprise like the irrelevant moody lesbian.

To be honest, I am just watching for Brooke. She is a queen.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 21st August 2015, 12:00 AM

I'd love it if we had an unreliable narrator and Emma (is that the lead girls name?) was the killer... that'd be so cool and twisted.

Posted by: Joe. 21st August 2015, 02:57 PM

This has gotten very good, despite many a plot hole (Why are you doing a night shift, in the dark, alone when your bf was just like, the 4th person to die from a killer that's made it very clear s/he wants you dead too). And it's managed to keep me guessing right to the end.

I think it'll either be Piper, as she's become the more obvious choice now. Or it could be that the arrest of the teacher is a double bluff, and he actually will turn out to be the killer. The accomplice will be either Noah or Jake I'd guess?

I'm assuming a lot of the main cast will be slaughtered in the final to episodes. I'd peg the survivors as Audrey, Emma and possibly Kieran if he's not the killer. I'd love Brooke to make it to season 2, too, but I have a feeling they were saving her for a big death at the end of the series.

What an obvious reveal!

Audreys a surprise I guess. I'm thinking she betrayed Piper at the last minute.

That finale and the ending wub.gif

Posted by: Joe. 2nd September 2015, 11:29 PM

Veeeeerrrrrry obvious. In fact, too obvious.

It was a great episode but too many people were left alive. Surely at least Jake could have been killed?

I was more shocked at the ending shocker tbh didnt expect that but yeah the reveal yeah was too ovbious

I thought Brooke was a goner, Phew

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 3rd September 2015, 08:40 PM

There's only one thing that bugs me. Didn't Piper cause Emma to question Audrey quite early on? With the whole "she makes Rachel do things".

My money really was on Jake being involved tho.

Posted by: Jack 3rd September 2015, 09:58 PM

So ridiculously obvious about Piper, I knew from about the 3rd episode in it was going to be her.

Shocked about Audrey though, so next season will we know the killer is Audrey throughout?!

I get the feeling Audrey had second thoughts, and changed her mind near the end. I think she'll be trying to hide her secret whilst new killers are on the loose next season - And they'll probably somehow 'know' her secret.

Posted by: Ezra's Whore 4th September 2015, 10:13 AM

Looking back I see Audrey being the killer as well as Piper because she probably would have been the one to Kill Nina as she had the motive laugh.gif

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 4th September 2015, 01:24 PM

I think Piper saw Audrey on the bridge, hence her "I have another surprise for you" and Audrey, like Emma Roberts in S4, turned on her accomplice.

If they actually wanted to be called SCREAM they should have killed Emma off in the opening scene and have Brooke become the lead.

How many episodes are they shooting for season 2? I'm really hoping for more that a 10 episode season order Please.

Posted by: Ja˙ 31st May 2016, 10:30 AM

Apparently there will be 14 episodes this season happy.gif

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 31st May 2016, 10:49 AM

Seen the first ep. I really wanted Emma to be killer 3 sad.gif

Posted by: HarryEzra 20th July 2016, 12:54 PM

Has anyone been watching this....I think Gustavo could be the killer his pictures show only things the killer could know but again could be a red herring like Kieran in first season

Posted by: Mike Sugafan 27th July 2016, 11:09 AM

I'm watching this.. And I have no idea, everyone's suspicious

Posted by: Ja˙ 7th August 2016, 04:30 AM

Episode 10 'The Vanishing' was one of the strongest episodes yet! Very perilous and suspenseful.

Oh gosh, Zoe. ):

I still have no firm ideas regarding who the killer is! unsure.gif Kieran and Stavo both seem the most obvious at this point, but I'd find either of these outcomes to be pretty disappointing, particularly Stavo.

Final episode spoiler!!!: I have been thinking surely it can't be the boyfriend again. I like how the original Scream movie made fun of that yet they've just done exactly that here? laugh.gif

Can't stand Emma, she just makes everything about her! Of course she's been through a lot but so have the rest of them yet she makes out like she's the only one. It got on my nerves the most in that final episode where they were in the cinema and she goes 'this is on me' even though Audrey has the guilt of bringing Piper there and is being co-accused as the murderer, Noah was buried alive and his girlfriend died and Brooke's dad died. She's so self-centred! laugh.gif

I was a little disappointed with the Killer being Kieran laugh.gif Such a cliche like seriously I would have loved it if it was someone else like Brooke or the cop.

Yeah I so agree with that seen I mean all of them went through hell together its not just happened to you Emma laugh.gif

I've just binge watched the 2nd half of the season which is perfect timing considering the finale premiered today! Absolutely loved it so much, so scary and great! I clocked it was Kieran early on in the episode but all the Piper links shocked me!

And a change in cast.
I cannot stand Emma, she portrays a very poor Sidney in my eyes.
I LOVE Brooke, she's been my favorite character to date. I do also really like Audrey - I've seen the actress in other things and I think she's great, but, her character here is a little one dimensional.

I think they could do a lot with 6 Episodes, but I'm also hoping they find a way to bring in and focus on a fresh cast, while still leveraging the old ones - if that makes sense? Not like last season where they clearly just brought people in to kill off so they could keep the original cast around.

MTV’s “Scream” is hitting the reboot button. Here’s what that means.

Based on the hit movie franchise, the MTV series “Scream” has been wildly inconsistent when it comes to the length of its seasons. The debut season was 10 episodes, while the show expanded to 13 episodes for its second season. Continuing this trend, Season 3 of “Scream” will be just six-episodes long; and according to a report from Deadline today, it’s going to be WAY different.

The site reports that Dimension TV is looking to introduce a new storyline and new cast of characters for the upcoming third season of “Scream.” They note that regulars like Willa Fitzgerald have been given permission to take other jobs, but that MTV remains committed to the series. Ratings dipped from Season 1 to Season 2, which could explain why they want to reboot.

At this time, MTV is searching for a new showrunner.

Harvey and Bob Weinstein executive produce under the Dimension TV production umbrella. The late Wes Craven, Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley, Marianne Maddalena and Cathy Konrad also executive produce. Matthew Signer and Keith Levine are producers.

Good, they needed to shake things up to make it work.

Season 2 was horrendously boring.

Posted by: Klaus 28th June 2019, 05:43 PM

Finally some news re the ‘lost’ third season!! laugh.gif

Coming to VH1 in the US (rather than MTV which is where the show started) in July. No idea about the UK, the first two are still on Netflix but who knows if they’ve made a deal for the thirf season given how long its taken to get out there?

Very happy that ACTUAL Ghostface is back though rather than that knock off mask
