Part 2 is easily my favourite of the two although part 1 has my top 2 favourite songs overall (something in your eyes and what the future holds).

Part 1 has 4 absolutely stonking singles, plus Come and Dance With Me, To the One and a few other gems. I'd say the only real skipper is that Halfway one.

Part 2 just can't even begin to compete with that calibre for me, even though it's good.

Part 2 suffered from bad single choices although I say that knowing it makes little difference.
Without streaming on their side single choices and quality material feels irrelevant as the albums aren't reaching to many apart from the fans.

Dreadful singles from Part 2 - you’re absolutely right!

The Slightest Touch was the only correct single choice from Part 2 that also should have been selected as the lead single.

I'm always going to think that Take Me for a Ride gets a ridiculously hard time from the fanbase. The song shows a slightly more serious side to them, a moodier vibe, but it's still very much a bop with great melodies throughout. That chorus is bullet proof as far as I'm concerned, and overall it's a stand out track on the album. Clearly it did something good for them because 5 weeks on Radio 2's A List is a high level of support.

I'd say a significant chunk of the album pre-orders were achieved off the back of Heartbreak in This City, so I wouldn't say that was an incorrect single choice.

I'll concede that A Hundred Years of Winter wasn't a popular choice in the fan base (though honestly I don't really understand the distaste, it's a well constructed song and in particular I think the bridge has a gorgeous melody to it that builds up to a dramatic chorus). Regardless it was supported by Radio 2 - it made it onto the A List - and this must have played its part in helping the album re-enter the Top 200 for three weeks (alongside the tour).

I look at the songs that remained as album tracks and I'm like... I don't think any were massively missed opportunities as singles? Wasted Tears and Living in a Lie are really great songs imo, but really, they have touched upon the vibe of those songs in other singles already.

I never rated Heartbreak… even before it was announced as a single!

I loved hearing 'Take Me For a Ride' on the tour, it really came alive for me there and I feel like the extra intro on the album version adds something to it.

It's not a highlight single for me and there are several other tracks I would've chosen ahead of it, but I definitely appreciate it a lot more than when it was first released.

Take me for a ride is fine but its not as memorable as so many of their other singles and sometimes I just forget about ut where with other steps single they never leave your head.

Take me for a ride is excellent and I won’t hear anything else!
The weakest of their lead singles since their comeback but well above some of the follow up single choices. Plus I loved the video!

I prefer it over heartbreak in the city and to the beat of my heart too.

I love to the beat of my heart, not as instant for me as some steps singles but I'm a big fan now.

I finally saw the 2CD version of this in the shops today, sadly I didn’t get it as it was $40. I wasn’t prepared to lay that. After just finishing some Christmas shopping, my finances had already taken a bit of a hit.

Maybe I’m the new year, or if I can find it cheaper online.

I’m also waiting for the cd to drop in price here in the Netherlands.

I was considering buying it until I saw the price. Non Steps related but I saw the Sugababes vinyl for One Touch too. It’s times like these I’m glad I don’t collect vinyl. Those too along with Adele’s 4 albums would send me broke. laugh.gif

Anyone big into vinyl would nearly need another income as its expensive if building a decent collection so getting good deals like thus weekend is needed.
