That's an interesting idea. It would be an eye opener for me, certainly.

No Leila K - Electric, gooddelta!? Would be good after Dr Alban - It's My Life as its like a faster version of its production.

I didn't know that the Cardigans were Swedish!

'Be Mine!' is my favourite of Robyn's songs I think!

No, I guess I wasn't aware of the song at the time. Got To Get I should have included though.

Obviously Loreen would be on here twice now.

I love the fact 2010 me didn't kick off with ABBA.

Yaki-Da - I Saw You Dancing

Almost 50 million views on Youtube. Possibly 90-95 % are from Russians. I don't know why this flop (# 32 in Sweden) became an insane hit in my country. laugh.gif

The opening track on disc 3 of 1989 isn't something obvious. I just thought it worked for that particular disc.

This is a great idea, I'm looking forward to seeing the full 1989 tracklisting.

Just being pedantic here but it's Lightning Seeds, not Lightening Seeds, if you want to correct it before unveiling the final track list tongue.gif

Hits of Australia 1975-now would be awesome. The 70s is when Australian music culture really started up with AC/DC, Cold Chisel, The Angels, Midnight Oil, etc. pumping out some massive rock songs. But as years went on the predominant genre turned to grunge/indie rock, then to pop/electronic, then back to more indie soft rock/pseudo folk, and in more recent years (for lack of a better word) hip hop. Australian rap isn’t exactly hip hop.. maybe the genre is just Australian rap?

In any case you could literally plot out the transition of Australian music over 4 discs. Would be difficult to not have Kylie Minogue on every disc lol

Netherlands is good choice, but don't know how mainstream and popular their acts were in other countries.

There are plenty.

You could include a lot of Eurodance/pop for a start: Alice Deejay, 2 Unlimited, Vengaboys, Doop, T-Spoon, Hermes House Band etc...

Dance: Armin Van Buuren, System F, Gouryella, Ferry Corsten, Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Fedde Le Grand, Sam Feldt, Rank 1, DJ Jean

And then Eurovision artists: Duncan Laurence, The Common Linnets, Mouth & MacNeal, Teach-In...

Other: Caro Emerald, Eva Simons

Probably quite an easy country to do.

There will be other themes too! We're trying to also cover some bases that Now has not done yet with their themes.

We are very much open to outside involvement as it's a community project, if anybody has an idea for a compilation and feels they could come up with a strong, cohesive tracklist that flows well and fits with the theme (with 3-4 'discs' of circa 80 minutes of music each) then please let us know your ideas.

I’ve always wanted a Now! Britpop. Reckon I could make a good playlist.
