Would you like to see them say a big f*** you to all the drama which surrounds them both whenever they're brought up in conversation together or would you prefer for them to be kept apart? Discuss! |

Yes!!!!
A combination of them both in one song would be amazing. It could genuinely be successful too if Gaga was lead artist but I’d love it. I mean it’s unlikely it’d ever happen but we can dream of a Vogue meets Dance In The Dark style musical masterpiece. I’d love it if they done a video for it too and it ended with Madonna handing over a crown to Gaga too |

no.
i think the execution would be disingenuous + even though they are compared quite a lot, i think they’re totally different artists + collaborating wouldn’t do anything for either of them except draw further comparisons. madonna also has a history of not having great collaborations - me against the music could have been so much more, for example. |

Maybe just a live performance of something rather than an outright collaboration?

I know I'd probably freak out if did happen, but with a level head I'd probably have to say no. I agree with the points kye makes, it's hard thinking of a situation where it wouldn't feel disingenuous. Compare it to Gaga and Ariana which felt like a natural collaboration and all the stars aligned perfectly.
I’d love it if they done a video for it too and it ended with Madonna handing over a crown to Gaga too It's more likely Madonna would chop Gaga's head off and wear that as a crown. |

My two favourite artists... and yet I've voted no I agree with the "disingenuous" comment above. Also, if it was to ever be underwhelming (highly likely given the hype it would have) it would feel really shitty and I'd rather have it as a "i wonder what it would sound like" sort of pipedream?
If they were to collab, it would need to be a Confessions era type dance banger. |

Yeah I was thinking on the lines of Confessions or perhaps a 90s-house track where they can have a 'vogue'-off, but again this is all just very wishful thinking and I would have to see some signs that the two genuinely wanted to work together first. They're both on good terms but their artistic careers are just in different paths. |

Maybe just a live performance of something rather than an outright collaboration? This!! Although it would benefit Gaga more positively than Madonna. The media would have their pitchforks out saying how much better Gaga was than Madonna if they were sharing a stage. Madonna kinda works better on her own though. |

I think it could benefit Madge in the way that a lot think she's bitter or jealous in her comments towards Gags in the past, imitation is the highest form of flattery, reductive look it up etc |

Madonna’s issue with Gaga lowkey stemmed from the fact Gaga is technically a better singer than her, and is a better musician.
I love Madonna don’t get me wrong but the likes of Britney and Kylie for instance who she’s spoken highly of many times. Madonna kinda knows she’s a league above them but when it comes to Gaga she’s similar to her in a sense but she is more talented beneath it all and that’s more why she was shady towards her. I think Madonna is more artistically talented but Gaga could pull something off like a full Jazz and Piano tour where as M couldn’t. Deep down she’ll have been fuming as well that Gagas ASIB role was so well received and that she got the Oscar too. Or the shady comments she made could’ve all just been a way of getting herself in the headlines in time for a new era coming out who knows. I stan both of them though as artists |

The general public are really unsympathetic towards Madonna (not totally unfounded), they would consider it a desperate move and would most definitely be commenting on how much better Gaga is as a singer and performer and all the usual ageist crap. I'd say Madonna actually knows this herself, which is probably a big reason as to why there's been no sort of collaboration between the two of them. |

It's actually quite heartbreaking to hear the negativity Madonna gets because of a number (her age). I don't hear people talk about her that much but it's always negative, I remember family friends came over to visit not long after the ill-fated Eurovision performance and the discussion was all about how the eye-patch was attention seeking and that she should give up, do something else or retire completely and everyone was nodding. I'm not saying those bitches are representative of everyone lmao but that kinda sentiment about Madge is something I see a lot amongst the public. Ik I'm repeating myself here but Madame X, such a special album getting paid dust is so NOT deserved. |

People don't have to like it, that's fine, but it's not fair to dictate how someone should behave or what's appropriate just because it's what they're comfortable with. I've never understood the 'attention-seeking' comments as Madonna has always thrived off attention, this isn't something new! I feel like I could get really deep into this but I realise I'm in the Gaga forum so I'll leave it at that. |

A live performance between the two of them would be great but for a collaboration I'm not sure.
