Does one full stream of an album equate to 1 sale? Or does it work the same as with individual tracks? Read here for how it works! http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=213186 |

Skepta would’ve definitely had more than 3K sold so far I’d have thought.
They’re ahead of Dua on Apple Music and have been since Friday. Definitely more sales from them so far this week than that. |

Any chance this is missing some streaming data? These numbers are very surprising.

I'll be interested to see if Bob Dylan's new single shows up in the midweek flashes. It's streaming numbers aren't great (as to be expected from a "heritage" artist), but I think its downloads have been better-than-average given it's quite a long song (although downloads are a tiny number compared to streams of course).

I think Dua is capable of overtaking by Friday, taking into account the lack of data currently present, Dua's streaming advantage and 5SOS being very frontloaded.
FYI, The Weeknd had sold 8.8k by Sunday last week and ended up clearing 25k, so presumably Dua can do the same, which I doubt 5SOS will. |

I'm not massively surprised by the numbers, 5SOS do have a very dedicated fanbase. I thought Dua would easily get the #1, but overall I prefer 5SOS' album so I'd rather they get it.

Oh that’s actually very disappointing from Dua.
I still expect her to easily overtake 5 seconds of summer as I can’t even see them selling much throughout the week especially as her singles aren’t performing too well. |

I'll be more inclined for Dua to easily overtake, 5SOF will probably drift off by the middle of the week with their sales decreasing on each update.

Hopefully that won't be Friday's result! I will be pretty fuming if it is.

but are these Sat or Sun mids?
cos if Sat mids, 9K is not half bad for Dua, cos thats with no streams I think I read that 5sos switched labels and move to a new label that really knows how to take advantage of fans in the sense of making lots of formats so its probably 3K fans buying 6 formats each what is surprising that their last album only did 16K and that was coming after the huge success of Youngblood the single, while this time they've just had small one-week hits in the charts but not a huge hit like Youngblood... but guess multi-formatting explains it |

Don’t start now is still top 10 after more than 20 weeks in the charts not to mention that its her biggest worldwide hits even reaching number 2 in US, Physical is number 5 and is still climbing, Break my heart will be the 3rd top 10 from the album... so i think all in all her singles outperformed all expectations.... as for the album, the music quality is outstanding, the reviews have been stellar, the only problem is the timing, it was released at a time when most people are not following the entertainment scene and are mostly following the news, not to mention that she couldn’t do any promotion due to all events getting cancelled due to the coronavirus epidemic, hence the lower sales, im sure it will sell more in the long run... Her debut only opened with 16k, I think even in normal circumstances 40k would be too ambitious. she was relatively unknown at the time... the second album usually always open with the biggest sales especially if the debut was successful... the problem is the release coinciding with the coronavirus epidemic outburst... |

Why are people writing off Dua when it’s only been 2 days. Grab some perspective x

I'm pretty sure they meant 5SOS' singles. Though that doesn't really matter with album sales for a fanbase-led artist, like The Vamps as well. |
