Label updates title: "This Summer's Gonna Hurt." The #SummerSongOf2015 we'd expect from @maroon5. Impacting 5/26.
So while the UK is still struggling to get "Sugar" out of the top 40, the entire world has to brace ourselves for what will ultimately become another giant M5 juggernaut. Great. 
If it's anything like MLJ or OMN (or even "Misery") then I'm all for it.

Unpopular opinion, but please be more like Sugar than Animals or Maps. (Or This Love/Misery).
Maroon 5 are probably the most hit and miss artist for me.

This is such an odd release strategy. I love Maroon 5 including "Sugar" but I've not known any artist that's managed to pull off a successful pre-album release whilst they've still got a post-album transatlantic top ten hit (well, apart from Rihanna's "We Found Love"/"Cheers (Drink To That)", but the latter didn't take off as much in the UK). Is this from a new album or a re-release of V?

I suspect the album may get re-released given this new song is about to debut which isn't on their album. I love sugar. Its a classic song. It was always you should have been released as a proper single too.

Totally the right strategy, they're wise enough to realise that you can't take big breaks in this industry at the moment and you have to continue capitalising on the hype that you've got. I'd happily see them fall off the face of the earth but they're doing exactly the right thing in this sense to just keep throwing new material out.

It seems a bit premature to be starting on a new album just yet. A reissue seems more likely. There have only been 3 singles from V so far - so still more room to reignite album sales.

Animals pt.2 please. I will accept the fact that Unkiss Me was never released if the new song is as good as that or Animals.

So weird though, as they literally fell off the earth and 'flopped' when their 3rd album came out. I think Adam Levine being on The Voice helped their comeback in to the mainstream, and having a monster hit like Moves Like Jagger of course. That said, now they're even bigger than around 04-07.

Already sounding like a vast improvement on the unbearable Sugar.
They do have a lot of great songs in their discography, just haven't particularly like their V era, aside from the amazing Animals.

Okay so on first listen I found this pretty dreadful but it's growing on me like a rash. Such an odd but addictive tune now and completely different to anything they've done before 
BTW here's the first live performance on The Voice (OBVS...)
Adam vox here is a bit painful :/ as much as I am a fan of theirs!

I didn't like it but it's growing. Please can we stop chasing hits and go back to something Songs About Jane esque though? I don't mind the swearing but it does feel like it's being forced in for the sake of it.

I love this more for the fact the song is so unusual for them they need to put in on Spotify ASAP tbh. (dies of laughter at it winding all the h8ers up when it'll undoubtedly be big )

I love the swearing in this but it would be a regular basic bitch MLJ era-esque song without it.

Really just stabilizing in that lower 20's/upper 30's range in U.S. iTunes. So proud of it tbh
It was also added by Radio Disney last week 
apparently that version makes much more sense than the actual radio edit
