"I have my album coming in November, I have my new single, which is called 'Let You Love Me', coming at the end of this month, so yeah, good things are coming and I'm excited" - Rita Ora right now on BBC Radio 2
Cannot wait, I hope it's a surefire pop smash
Coming in November 2019.
!
Did she perform is at the Radio 2 show?!
FINALLY
ABOUT DAMN TIME!!! X Factor performance more or less confirmed then
Interesting to see what sound she will take on this single.
This is out on Friday
Its insta added on Radio 2's playlist
30 second clip here! https://twitter.com/RitaBotTeam/status/1042475175462268928
I am REA.DY.
*.*
Very excited to hear the full song from that clip! I was worried that it was going to be heavily afrobeat influenced from the first couple of seconds but by the chorus my worries were gone.
I imagine this will be available around 2pm UK time/whenever New Zealand midnight is.
It feels very ‘anywhere’ to me
already sounds better than Girls so I'm excited!
It’s wayyy better than Girls but nowhere near Anywhere It’s kinda like a more chilled out Anywhere
This is a bop! Much more instant than "Girls" and "Your Song" were on first listen for me. I hope she still has some goodwill from the public to secure a higher debut than "Girls".
Love it! It's so chill yet still a bop <3
Video coming tomorrow too!
First listen:
Second listen:
Bit of a bop, it is quite Anywhere but tbh if it isn't broke don't fix it!
On first listen I heard Zara Larsson Lush Life pretty much all the way through did anyone else?
Definitely similar in terms of production although this is more mellow.
Another bop though can see this performing well and extending her top ten record for UK female.
A very nice recover from the disaster! Hopefully another top-10/5 for her.
Woo a bop, I loved Girls but it's burnt out quite quickly for me while I can see me playing this less initially but it holding up better. Her vocals here are some of her best
LOVE this. 😍
Already better than girls.
She does it again 🕺🏼
Have absolutely loved everything from Phoenix, hope this does well for her.
That middle 8 👌🏼
The intro really reminds me of something but I can’t figure out what it is and it’s killing me 😭
I think it’s an early 00s boy band song? A1? Westlife??
SO GOOD OMG!!!!
EASYFUN produced this apparently :0. bop city utah for this
This is fantastic! She's not put a foot wrong this era so far, bring on the album!
The one I’ve been thinking about isn’t Breakeven or Lush Life but can definitely hear the similarities to those two as well. No idea what I’m thinking of but I’m sure it’ll come to me at some point :’)
I've been hearing lush life a lil bit as well. The one I'm hearing the most tho, especially the chorus, is Alexis Jordan's part of Got 2 Luv U
This is a nice, smooth breezy bop! It works well with a Anywhere and Your Song. Let’s pretend that Girls didn’t happen.
The song is lush and the video complements it nicely, her love interest is beautiful *.*
song of the year.
Ugh, this is superb. She’s just so good recently, like REALLY come into her own, I don’t even think Girls was a blip.
YES ROB. I still enjoy 'Girls' too!
Ugh. She's so perfect. I love her so much. Completely getting the comparisons other people are making. Hope she can get another hit with this.
Debuts at #50 on UK Spotify - "Girls" debuted at #33 but stalled and didn't climb much further, hopefully this turns into a grower like "Anywhere".
Also hoping this will be a grower like "Anywhere"...it's certainly the type of song that will be more likely to build on Spotify than be instant!
This sounded VERY good on first listen, far far better than Anywhere.
Your Song debuted at #50, Anywhere at #44 and For You at #47, so this is doing pretty much in line with them!
new sig in light of stanning
YES! OMG.
You better STAN bitch!
TUNE!
Obsessed with this!
#3 on iTunes which is great, #16 on Apple Music too (which is usually a bit faster than Spotify and indicates things to come). Spotify needs some catching up but things are looking very positive at the moment, interest looks high. I can see it at least doing similar to Your Song/For You.
Yeah it’s had a really strong start on iTunes and Apple Music! Hopefully Spotify will catch up soon
it's already plastered all over capital TV as well it looks like. people r being made AWARE!
The production on this is air-tight. So many lovely little flourishes and the slight vocoder effect is lush. Her vocals sound really emotive and warm too. A song!
I didn't loathe it as much as most on here, but I'm glad that 'Girls' hasn't totally derailed the campaign, and that she's returned with something more in line with 'Anywhere'/'Lonely Together'. The chorus is really infectious!
This is #15 in today's midweeks! Looking to outpeak "Girls" on its opening week *.* "For You" debuted at #11, "Anywhere" at #20 and "Your Song" at #13 for comparison - glad she seemingly has another hit on its way. It's currently #2 on iTunes only behind "Promises" which has dominated pretty much everything there for the past month.
This is pretty good and will launch the album well!!
This (and Phoenix) seem to have disappeared from Apple Music...hopefully it’ll get added back on soon because it was doing really well there (think it was 10 maybe 12 last time I checked?)
In the Spotify top 50 now too though which is great
Yeah, and it is now not available to purchase on iTunes
Omg why are Atlantic so useless!! They'd just reduced it to 59p on iTunes too - far too early in my opinion. I just hope it manages to recover well when they re-add it.
It’s back now :’)
Its likely to make a Top 20 this week but possibly Top 15.
C List on Radio 1 and actually reduced to 59p on iTunes this week! Looking to beat both "Girls" and "Anywhere"'s opening week in the chart too
debuts at an impressive #4 in the UK airplay chart.
Looks like this could easily grab her another top 10 next Friday!
She's the cover of Hot Hits UK but she's sooooo low, like 55th lol
That airplay debut is huge! What's the last song to debut top 5/10 there?!
Debuts at #14 in the UK! Outpeaked "Girls" already!
Good debut position and this should quiet easily manage a top 10 place in the coming weeks.
Much better than 'Girls', hoping that this can become a Top5 hit for her.
This is #8 in today's midweeks! If it holds top 10, she'll be the sole holder of the record for most top 10 singles by a British female solo artist 😍 Fingers crossed!
*.* A true icon!
I think it should hold top 10 this week - it's comfortably #2 on iTunes and top 10 on Apple Music. It's just Spotify that's a problem but now it's higher on HHUK hopefully it should leap up a bit.
It could even climb to #7 looking at the numbers. Spotify just needs to increase a bit to secure that.
It’s up to 7 on Apple Music as well now which is great 🕺🏼
So pleased this is going to be a big hit for her, let’s hope Phoenix follows suit!
6 on Apple Music now...
And a massive jump to 24 on spotify!
I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes another Top 3 hit for her, it’s way better than anything from this era so far besides Anywhere and it looks as if people know that
First(?) TV performance of this will be on Saturday on the Jonathan Ross Show!
#19 on Spotify now. Anywhere was peaking at #24 at this point for reference.
Up to #15 on Spotify!
A HIT *.* So pleased to see it racing up Spotify early on in its chart life. I wouldn't have predicted that this would get off to a better start than Anywhere tbh.
And up again to #13 today *.*
#6 in the U.K.!
Incredible
So, SO happy this is a smash for her! It's exactly what she needed after 'Girls' performance.
Outpeaking Your Song already 😱
So pleased it’s doing so well, glad they’ve managed to turn it back around after Girls.
I’m thinking this could sneak up to #3 next week with Jonathan Ross tomorrow. Though Hot Hits moved it down quite a lot for some reason.
Easily a Top 5 hit coming now for this.
Great turn around after the awful Girls single.
Her performance of this last night was so good - the staging was really cool as well.
The interview was okay too, less cringey than the last time she was on. She got a plug in for the album and did some beatboxing with Romesh Ranganathan
So happy it’s top 5!
tune!
she seldom puts a foot wrong (excluding ‘girls’)
This is quite an earworm.
Rita will be performing this on Strictly Come Dancing on October https://www.officialcharts.com/char...2018-music-guest-performers-announced__24103/.
Does she now have the record for most UK Top 5 hits for a British female solo artist? I know she has got the record for most UK Top10 hits.
This is back to its peak of #6 on UK Spotify and (presumably) a new peak of #72 on US Spotify! Hopefully it's set to stay at #5 officially on Friday too.
She's releasing an acoustic version of this. Hopefully it's a new version rather than using the original vocals like the acoustic version of "Your Song".
LOVE the Möwe remix of this!
I am really starting to get into this now. Nowhere on the level of Anywhere but very good.
She’s performing on Strictly this Sunday presume she’s singing this.
Most likely, yes that she'll be performing this on Strictly on Sunday.
She killed it on Strictly tonight! I'm so pleased with the choreography and staging and I'm so glad that she didn't get lumped with some Strictly professionals dancing in front of her.
Hopefully this is coming for a new peak next Friday - it should definitely climb above "Happier" at least even if "Woman Like Me" overtakes it.
A brilliant performance! Loved the staging!
It was great not to just have her on the podium like usual. Her team really are the best, getting her a slot on the biggest TV show.
I'd love this to achieve a new peak. Any hope of it happening?
I've been really loving this over the past couple of weeks after being a bit unsure initially.
Hopefully it can at least climb to 4, it feels bigger than a #5 peak!
It's #4 in the midweeks - could be close between Rita, Calvin and Little Mix though so could climb further but I think it's definitely set for a new peak this week.
A new peak would be great, can see this sticking around for a good while too.
Strictly performance:
As a surprise to no one, the right wing brigade have slated her for bringing her own dancers
This has been certified Silver in the UK meaning every single she's released since "I Will Never Let You Down" has been at least Silver-certified!
Finishes at #6 in the chart, down 1
Was hopeful for a new peak! Yay that it's gone Silver though
Just a shame that this didn't reach a new peak on Friday.
James Hype remix and acoustic version released today:
Love the acoustic version! Rita sounds gorgeous on it. Not so keen on the remix but James Hype is an awful producer so no surprise there.
Rita's performance from the People's Choice Awards last night:
She killed it, again. Absolutely love the red suit look as well
This definitely has the potential to re-peak this Friday with "Promises" finally moving to ACR!
Yeah, it's #4 in the mids today!
Another day, another slay. I can't get over how good Rita is looking in her performances for this song:
New peak of #4 in the UK
My queen
Yaay, glad it's reached a new peak!
I need to catch up on the performances posted here! I'm slacking as a Rita stan
This song has been pretty massive for her. It's a shame it kind of stalled in the 4 - 6 area and didn't go higher because its longevity makes it feel just as big as 'Anywhere' to me.
14-6-5-6-5-6-5-4-4
(Including this week's probable stay at 4).
She could well do!
I think they're gearing up for the next single now, apparently the one on NMF is the next single, but I forgot what it's called!
New peak of #3 on Spotify UK! Queen of repeaking 😍
Rita performed this at the Thanksgiving Parade in New York earlier and there was a technical difficulty meaning she was out of sync whilst lipsyncing.
I thought we agreed she could have a break and release the damn album!
Sad that this is gonna be on ACR the week it probably would have gone top 3!
Oops at the lip sync fail
Incredible performance!!!
Loved the ARIAs performance!
She performed this on Michael McIntyre tonight with a live band! Hopefully that means there'll be one with her on tour, if I remember correctly she was singing to a backing track on the Girls Tour
Also her chat with Michael after was hilarious 😂
Think this could become my favourite song of hers. I love proper pop songs that have an emotional sentiment that runs through. I adore the way she sings "I wish I could let you love". There's a great pain in her voice as she belts it out and it just never loses its effect.
All the performances have been fab. She really should be the number one pop girl right now.
Up to #8 in Australia! Her highest peaking single in YEARS IWNLYD is her highest peaking at #5 ahead of How We Do (#9) and R.I.P (#10). Im surprised she’s only has 4 top 10 hits and even more surprised Black Widow only got to #15
I posted this in the Phoenix thread yesterday, but meant to put it here:
LOVE that arrangement! 😍 Also her hair looks great short!
I saw her perform this at the filming of TOTP today, she looks REALLY stunning. She did good!
This looks like it'll finally chart on the US Pop Songs chart tomorrow! It's currently #40 on the daily rolling chart
Loved the piano intro she did on Top of the Pops:
This is possibly my song of the year, she's absolutely killed it vocally every single time and I'm not bored of it at all.
It's also finally officially a US Pop Top 40 hit as it charted at #38 there this week!
i think this might be my song of the year as well theo!
She's so underrated vocally
Easily in my top 3 of the year *.*
This is still climbing on US Pop radio, it's #33 officially currently and #29 on the daily tracker, hopefully it can eventually go top 20/30 officially because it feels like the label are waiting for something to happen with it there before pushing something for her fans who will actually buy/stream her music
She's filmed a new acoustic video for Vevo too which is obviously stunning:
Queen
Yaaasss!!!
What’s the other one?
Back in the iTunes top 40 at #39 thanks to the iPhone advert!
I've only recently checked the top 40, so it may have been higher, but the advert is on every other ad break on ITV it seems and it gets stuck in your head!!
Genuinely her best song. The vocals, the production and it translates so well in her live performances too <3
Still such a triumph of a song
It is a really good song that vocally is very suitable to Rita.
Such a great song. It’s so strange how Rita appears to be back in the pop wilderness after scoring so many hits with her last album.
I guess we are just not used to popstars taking big breaks these days. Usually there is always features etc to keep fans interested.
I'd have preferred a much shorter break as o feel like all her momentum is gone again.
This was a decent enough single actually from what I remember, not one of her absolute best songs though imo.
It is a very enjoyable track.
Rita gas released many weaker singles.
