Someone asked about this on Facebook the other day but I can't find the original post, and I thought it might be of some interest here.

It shows the 50 artists with the longest gaps between appearances in the Top 10 in the UK singles chart. All chart days are re-set to Saturdays for ease of comparison, dates shown are the date of the last appearance before the "gap" and the first appearance that broke the "gap". All refer to named apperances only, so for example Robin Gibb's multiple Top 10s with the Bee Gees don't break his sequence as a named individual, that didn't happen until his appearance on "(Barry) Island In The Stream"

It doesn't matter whether the Top 10 re-appearance was with new material or a re-release of old stuff, it just matters that that act made the Top 10 again!
