Been a while since I checked in. Between the general pandemic stress (yup) + hosting several other site contests, chart updates have taken a bit of a back seat.

Inna reigns this week for the second time this year, making this her most chart-successful year since 2018, when she last landed two #1s in the same year. The Romanian dance diva continues to be one of the most successful alltime artists on my personals, now with nine chart toppers to her name, ahead of heavyweights like Calvin Harris, Robyn and Madonna. Since we last checked in, an eclectic variety of acts have topped the chart including an acoustic bonus track from Chvrches, Evanescence's comeback single, the storming collab between Gaga and Ari that's the closest thing this year's brought me to official world charts, and lately the criminally underrated collab between Marshmello and Halsey that topped my chart for three weeks.

This week sees the early debut of new music from Ellie Goulding and Jhene Aiko, two of my longtime faves who both dropped new albums in the last week - which became my first (iirc) new album purchases of the year. It's rare for any artist to debut with new entries on first week of release as I track month by month for my charts, but despite that Ellie debuts two new tracks this week and Aiko one. Expect that to increase next week after a full two weeks of tracking provide a firmer foot in the door. (Maybe I'll even drop another chart...)

Other new entries this week come from The Midnight, Anitta, Troye Sivan, Kygo, James Blake and RAYE, among some res from older artists. I'd recommend all of those named tracks, as well as my #5 and #7 this week by respectively Shapeshifters & Purple Disco Machine, and Hot Chip. My Worldvision entry this time by BRIET also sneaks in at the bottom of this week.

Don't forget to check out my playlists linked in if you want a listen along with what I've been enjoying. Maybe you'll discover your new fave there wink.gif

Inna really racking up the #1s here then, this new one sounds quite good on first listen.
from the 2 new entries here I know Kygo's my fave, although this one's fallen well short of my own top 40, it just isn't exciting enough for me. Ego Death is my fave of the top 10.

Very happy to see Inna is still getting love from other people than myself in the year 2020! Nobody and Not My Baby have been wonderful discoveries for me this year. Also very exciting to see icelandic singer Brķet debut on your chart! She has a lot of wonderful songs in her discography (my personal fav being "Feimin(n)" from 2018) and currently her song "Esjan" is huge in Iceland..

Welcome back!
Nice to see "Ode To Myself" and "Natalie Don't" in the top 10, the debuts for "Woman", "What's Love Got To Do With It", "Easy", "Fake Mona Lisa", "Are You Even Real?" and the re-entry for "Promises"!
Great chart!
