After nearly having a month's rest, Florina sent out one final search for an entry and thankfully discovered this gem. Hopefully, the ever building production will help others also appreciate the beauty of the track and help us to qualify into the final. LXIV: Halsey - New Americana
Florina were all prepared with their entry for this month once the confirmations started but unfortunately, they were too slow and the main artist already had another of their songs confirmed! We'll keep this entry as a secret for now as our passion for it may lead to it getting confirmed in another contest. It led to endless searching for the right entry after listening to many sub-par songs or ones that were unlikely to be a hit. Eventually we came across this gorgeous song which marks a slight change in sound for us. It feels like a combination of numerous female artists, taking the best bits from each one. We hope you enjoy it! |

 This was a potential entry of mine for next contest before i found something else (yes i'm thinking that far ahead for once), so i'm very very glad it's been entered by someone now because i might never had done it and it deserves to be heard! LXIV TWIST  In a shock twist, all countries have qualified for the LXIV final! Halsey was looking set to score Florina's biggest hit so will this new development hurt our chances? Only time will tell. LXIV SUCCESS Florina are overwhelmed to announce their first real success story in the form of Halsey's New Americana. For once, our success in the odds was followed through in the results and we secured our first Top 10 entry! We'd like to offer our huge thanks to everyone who supported the track. Will this just be a one-off or is it our breakthrough hit? Looking forward to hearing the next Florinese/Florinan (?!) entry as 'New Americana' sounds great on first listen. Would have received big points from Desbuanda had the political establishment been formed a few weeks earlier (inconvenience of war and all that, you know yourself)!

LXV: Nina Yasmineh - Prophecy
Sadly, Halsey's magic touch didn't work when she featured behind the scenes and, despite putting up a good fight, Nina Yasmineh fell into Florina busy DNQ pile. The people of Florina aren't too disappointed however as they are still supportive of the wonderful track and are grateful for the fabulous discovery. Nina therefore still remains upbeat and is glad to hear of the news that she has performed the best out of all of Florina's DNQ. It's the little things that count! |

Buzzjackfestivalen 2014: Cash+David - Pulse
After making the decision to send their second dance song, after the similarly titled 'Pulsing' earlier this year, Florina have successfully qualified straight to the final of Buzzjackfestivalen with Cash+David's 'Pulse'. Originally a potential for BJSC LXIV, 'Pulse' fitted the 3 minute rule of Buzzjackfestivalen perfectly and so Florina's officials entered the song, giving them the chance to see how it could have done in the main contest. We are thrilled with the reaction to it so fair and hope that it continues in the final! |

LXVII: Vanic x machineheart - Circles
After the success of Cash+David placing 5th in Buzzfestivalen 2014, Florina unfortunately had to take a month off. However, this allowed us to be able to save our money to have twice the budget for LXVII. This meant that we could afford to secure our latest entry 'Circles' following a couple of other more well-established/successful countries who were also in the bidding process. We are hugely thankful that Vanic & machineheart chose to represent us at this month's contest and we hope that they bring us a second successful result in a row! |

Word on the street is that this could be the one to beat
. Would definitely be in support of a Florina victory as I really like this on first listen! Hard to categorise it though - a trap track with elements of pop and folk? Part of the melody reminds me of Two Door Cinema Club I think. Very interesting and certainly unique anyway!

LXVII: 'Circles' achieves second place!
Florina are over the moon to announce that they achieved 2nd place in BJSC LXVII in a nail-biting finish! After leading through the majority of the final results, Florina were just pipped to the post at the last hurdle by Persephonia by 2 points. However, the 216 points it earned from 34 voters has allowed it to be the 5th best performing entry of the year so far, beaten only by Daehun, Persephonia (x2) and FSR Rontiva. In addition to all this, 'Circles' managed to achieve first place in it's semi-final (something Persephonia wasn't able to achieve  ).New Capital. Florina was built upon an unstable economy and we were forced to use the small town of Raywern as our capital. It was nothing spectacular and so we are proud to announce that, after our recent success in LXIV, Buzzfestivalen and LXVII improving our economy drastically, we have been able to build a new 150km˛ capital filled with state of the art buildings. LXVIII: CATHEDRALS - OOO AAA
Florina's 11th main contest entry is 'OOO AAA' which we hope will continue to keep our momentum going. Described by Florina as 'dark indie-pop with hints of electronic', 'OOO AAA' also features a mix of female and male vocals and is the exact type of entry that we have been looking to send since our debut. If the pattern seen in our entries is true, we should qualify with this as we have gone Q-DNQ-DNQ-DNQ-Q-DNQ-DNQ-Q-DNQ-Q-?, showing that the gaps between qualifications have gotten one less each time meaning that there should be no gap this time  This has been scientifcally confirmed at by the top academics in Florina's leading university at the heart of it's city, Vanic. |

CATHEDRALS REACH 26th Cathedrals proved that the prophecy was true by managing to qualify and eventually reaching 26th in the final. While it may not be an overwhelming result, Florina are still very pleased that they were able to qualify and are over the moon that it still managed to receive three 12s! LXIX: Sam Sure - Hunger
It was a tough month finding a new entry for the next contest as, while we listened to many songs, none seemed like obvious hits/qualifiers. We were debating on whether to send an old potential but we've grown to love it so much that we couldn't bear to see it flop although we may still be brave and send it next month. Florina eventually decided on Sam Sure's 'Hunger' as we felt like it would appeal to other certain countries and there is a small bit of ~hype~ surrounding it on the internet. It may not be an obvious qualifier and we're fully expecting zero predictions but watch out, we're coming for that unexpected/cult hit!!1!
