Another great song from them - the last half of the song in particular is incredible!

I'm not a massive fan of their slower songs, but Dave's vocals are lush on this! And the fan reception has been really positive

"Tangerine" will be pushed as the next single from the album.

This is definitely a big step back in the right direction after 'Heat Waves' being the clear weak point of the singles so far for me (and honestly getting a bit worse after hearing it a few more times). Loving the instrumental and atmosphere on this.

Yeh it's quite nice, sounds like a slowed down version of the dance track 'I Won't Let You Down' from a few years back!

Well that was a journey and a half of a listen while I was doing my washing up there. Absolutely class and a lot better than I was expecting, loads of songs but at 52 minutes is easily listened to and 'It's All So Incredibly Sad' just sounds amazing in the album context.

Two remixes of 'Heat Waves' out today! From Diplo and Shakur (a fan who won a competition to have their remix officially released), and I must say I'm much preferring the fan's laugh.gif

Yep! I really enjoyed it overall, lots of strong album tracks and I'll need to get around to giving it a second listen.

Tokyo Drifting has grown on me loads in particular after not liking it much when it released!

Tokyo Drifting was pretty instant for me last November when released even during the Christmas rush.

Listened to this 4 times this week and it may be a surprise number 1 in my personal album chart.

not very good review from Pitchfork
but they're usually so anti-UK it's not even funny

One of the standout albums of 2020 in my opinion, and definitely their best - nice to see it do so well in the charts!

I listened to this last night - for the most part the best songs were already released, most of the album tracks didn't really do much for me on first listen unfortunately, with the main exception of 'Domestic Bliss' which I like a lot (seems to be a somewhat unpopular opinion though), plus 'Tangerine' is a banger too. I loved / liked all of the singles ('Heat Waves' less so than the rest but it's still better than the other 5 new songs) so it was an enjoyable listen overall but unfortunately did leave me a little unsatisfied in a similar way to HAIM's album which had the same problem for me. The peril of releasing too many singles ~

Nonetheless, very happy to see this being such a big success for them, going up from a #23 album to a #2 is nothing to sniff at.

from billboard:
Alternative rock band Glass Animals achieves its first top 10 album as Dreamland arrives at No. 7 with 60,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, album sales total 43,000, while SEA units total 17,000 (equaling 21.8 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs) and a TEA units total a negligible figure. The album’s sales were assisted by merchandise/album bundles sold via the band’s website, as well as a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer with a series of shows that took place in early 2020, as well as a couple upcoming gigs.

Looks like Heat Waves may be a hit for them with it climbing up Spotify and Apple! A new version of 'Tangerine' was also released on Friday with Arlo Parks
